Not a big fan of don quixote. Super dami ng tao lagi especially in Namba area (sa Shizouka lang ata ako nakapunta na walang tao)! Sobrang haba ng pila for refund, sana sinabay na during payment yung discount, and not everything is cheap/bargain price ha. 195yen  standard price for green tea kitkat (some store sell it at 235yen++!), kaya if my shop na madaanan na mas mababa sa 195, dun na ako namimili ng pasalubong.

^I wasnt able to get hold of the store name e, I based it lang on the price of green tea kitkat, nung nakita ko na they sell it for a very low price, dun na ako namili ng mga pasalubong. I assumed that since pinaka mura yung green tea kitkat from them, everything will follow, kasi even the eyedrops are relatively cheaper. Tapos tax refund pa if your bill is about 5k yen. Basta dont settle for don qui especially if there's a long queue, sayang ang oras just for the refund.

^color yellow yun signage sis? Baka matsumoto kiyoshi. Dun din kami bumili ng mga pasalubong namin na chocolates. Mas mura kasi sa kanila yun alfort.

Tanong ko lang kung MNL-KIX ba dapat kung mostly Osaka and Kyoto kami mag-stay, with 2 days spent in Tokyo?  May promo fare kasi ngayon sa CebPac kaso MNL-NRT lang ang available.  Ayoko muna mag-book kung dapat KIX ang point of entry namin. 

ETA:  Shunga ko lang meron palang Osaka haha.  Kaso 11k pa din each.  Anong pinakamurang seat sale fare na meron ang CebPac for Osaka?  TIA!

^baka mas mauna ka pa sa akin, I'll be there in 3 weeks and staying at Hotel Monterey so I'll ask you for a review. :-)

Preference ko was Granvia kasi nasa Osaka station but my sister wants to be in Namba and Monterey was on sale but too late when I'd already booked as no cancellation is allowed. Monterey pala about a 10 minute walk to Dotonbori (the website says 5 minutes, maybe if you're Japanese and you don't have kids with you).

Because I had a baby with me I prefer hotel granvia over hotel monterey. yes monterey is walking distance to the station but granvia being right on top of osaka station saves time and energy. also granvia had bigger rooms. But if I'll go back to Osaka in the future I will choose a different location naman like Namba =)

If youre around namba visit the grocery beside hotel monterey. Super dami good finds and around 8pm all their packed trays are on sale. And also theres an ikea shuttle from the namba station. Im so inlove with osaka and kyoto. Been there twice and every trip was worth it.

^^ & ^ thanks for the replies and I just got back from Osaka. Nagustuhan ko naman ang Hotel Monterey and glad that Life supermarket is one (or 2?) floors below, we checked in after 10pm and doon na kami bumili ng pagkain. Very nice food, they also got the best donut for me (the one with the red bean filling) and sushi and sashimi nila are better than most restaurants outside Japan.

HI mga sis! I will be in osaka this may. 2 nights lang kami dun kasi sasabay lang ako sa flight ng brother ko who is an airline employee. The hotel is near rinkutown station daw. But i can't find rinkutown station in osaka train map. How do we go to namba and usj from there? Can we use suica card for the nankai line and other trains in osaka? Thanks.

Rinku is 1 station away from the airport madami outlet stores dun. Theres a train direct to namba i think its 30 mins away. Sa usj not sure.

Hi!

Ask ko lang if anyone has tried PAL flight from Manila to KIX with a 1-hour stopover in Taipei? Does the one hour stopover requires you to change aircraft and re-check-in your baggage? Or the stop-over is only for unloading passengers headed for TPE and onward flight to KIX is using the same aircraft? Hope you can share your experience po.

Nagahoribashi then its a few minutes walk to the osaka castle.
