Thanks mga sis! Na-consider ko nga yung Nov 10 kaso baka di kayanin ng budget. Now looking for an apartment in Osaka. Ang alanganin pala nung time, 8pm ang ETA... Sana lang wag ma-delay flight. hehe.

Insights:

So far, Kyoto is the least expensive Japanese city I have ever stepped foot into. Sobrang simple ng buhay dun, halos gusto ko nang tumira doon. Now I know why it's the most popular among tourists.

^^^ Nov 9 sis yung original flight namin. Looks like wala nang flights on Nov 9, so they moved it to Nov 10, but I requested na Nov 8 na lang.

Because of this, I am also thinking of moving Nara day to the original USJ day so I get to keep the Kyoto itinerary. So excited! Pinipigilan ko sarili ko na bumili ng clothes dito. Hehe.

I have some concerns regarding our Japan trip this December. We plan to stay for 2 weeks and our itinerary will be Manila-Tokyo-Osaka-Manila. In Tokyo, maybe 6 days is enough, the rest of the days will be spent in Osaka. From Osaka, we plan to visit Nara, Kyoto, Kobe and Himeji, Hiroshima and Miyajima. I'm still researching with regards to transpo but I want to know if we really need to get the 14-day JR pass given our planned itinerary from Osaka. Also, is 100k per pax including airfare, airbnb, food, transpo, safe for a 2 weeks tour? Thank you for your input!

Yes sis. Enough na 100k per pax for 2 weeks. Ganyan din nagastos ng friend ko for 15 days stay nila. You can check the fares ng mga pupuntahan mo sa hyperdia and compare it sa cost ng JR pass.

Enough na siguro ang 100k/pax.

Total gastos namin ni husband for a 10 day DIY Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka nasa 150k. Hindi masyado tipid sa pagkain and pasalubong. Hotel, JR pass, Disneysea and some splurging..

Hello mga sis. Help naman po.

We're booked on Dec 10 -18 . Ano ang range ng temperature during this time? By the way , upon arrival derecho kami sa Kyoto, malapit lang ba ang train station sa airport (going to Kyoto ) and anong oras ang last trip. Kasi ang arrival namin is 8pm. If hindi namin mahabol ang last trip anong bus pede namin sakyan?  I'll appreciate your replies.

^ sis what airport ang arrival niyo? If 8pm most likely there are still trains going to Kyoto. Temperature at that time would be around 10C to 15C. Much better to check hyperdia for the trains and accuweather for the temperature. I always use these two sites and accurate naman sila.

^Sis, you have to take into consideration that you have to clear immigration and get your baggage. I think past 10 ata ang last train (not sure), same kasi tayo ng arrival na oras at na-research ko na yan before, tapos consider pa na you have to buy your tickets for the train (if you don't have it yet). This is why my friend advised me to do my Osaka leg first before Kyoto, para pag na-miss 'yung train mas malapit kasi ang Osaka so hindi ganun ka-mahal puntahan than kung Kyoto ang unang base.

Then our option is to take the bus if hindi nakaabot sa train. Kasi the plan is unahin ang Kyoto para hindi mag rush sa departure ( 4 days kami sa Kyoto , then we go back to Osaka.  Kung bus naman , dun din ba sa airport ang station going to Kyoto. How long will be the travel time if by bus going to Kyoto?

Hi sisses, for Kyoto, okay lang kaya if we will stay in this area?

"Higashiyama-Gojo Bldg. 598 Zihouinanmachi、Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto"

It's a few minutes away daw from Kiyomizudera Temple and Gion. If we will stay there, nearby places na lang yung pasyalan namin the first day then kinaumagahan na lang yung other spots like Arashiyama? The guesthouse rents out bikes too although I haven't checked yet kung "bike-able" ba yung mga temples in the area.

Medyo nahihirapan ako maghanap ng place to stay in Kyoto na affordable lang since we're only there for a night. Next month na rin kasi yung trip kaya siguro konti na lang available.
