Saan ba maganda mag stay for our Osaka/Kyoto Tour? Yung place sana na parang counterpart nang myeongdong sa Seoul na nasa middle nang mga tourist spots, malapit sa subway and maraming shops.

I just wanna share the details of our Tokyo-Osaka-Kyoto trip. finally after 4 months of preparing, reading eh nakapunta na din kami JP. and I really looove Japan. Bitin ang 1 week!

Ill put in Pesos na yung ibang expenses para hindi na mahirapan sa conversion

Day 1

We arrived May 28 via Jetstar at Narita Terminal 3 (RT for MNL-NRT-MNL is at PhP6500, w/ 20kg baggage + meal)
purchased our JR Pass at Reli Tours Megamall (around 13K). Dun din namin inapply yung visa which cost 950

Upon arrival, we exchanged the JR pass, then issued us a reserved ticket Narita Express to Shinjuku. (So start na agad pag gamit ke JR ) Btw, we rented our wifi sa airport. Mejo napamahal pa kami. We stayed at International Hotel Kabukicho ( PHP 9,619 for 3 days, 2 nights). All our accommodations on the entire trip are booked thru booking.com. We arrived at 11AM at the hotel but they let us to check in na. Swerte! So start agad ng lakwacha Shinjuku Station

Day 3

From Shinjuku Station we went to Shin-Osaka (we reserved a seat again sa Shnkansen naman kasi nasa 2.5 hours din ang byahe)
WE stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Shinosaka Station (PHP 15,935 for 3 days, 2 nights). We also arrived earlier than the usual check in time and they also let us in na din. Maybe because it's weekday kaya hindi mashado strict

Day 4

Mejo late na kami nagstart. We left the hotel at 11AM na and had our Nara day tour. We got our all day pass for the bus at the station at 500yen. So libot kami on entire Nara na feeling namin eh kulang pa ang araw dahil andami pwede puntahan

Day 5

From Osaka going to Kyoto, was just a 30min train ride. We stayed at Urban Hotel Kyoto Nijo Premium (Nijo Station) ( PHP 8,260 for 3 days, 2 nights) sakto lang din yung dating namin kasi sinagad namin checkout sa Marriot. LOL

From our place we went to Nijo Castle agad. Mga 10 min walk lang. 500yen yung fee going inside the castle.
And we spent the rest of our day roaming around the city. Sarap maglakad lakad anlamig pa din. Hindi mo mararamdaman yung sikat ng araw.

Day 6

We avail the all day city bus tour in Kyoto. Sulit to kasi 500yen for the entire day na. Eh per ride 230yen na.

Kyoto Imperial Palace (permit needed prior to visit. Pero pag maaga ka pwede pa sila magprocess.)
Gyoen garden inside imperial palace
Goo shrine
Kinkaku-ji temple
Path of philoso0hy

Kiyumizudera temple
Fushimi Inari shrine (napakalawak nito at ang haba ng trail paakyat ng mt Inari)

Yung shopping for the entire trip we do it in between ng mga vinivisit naming places. Kapag may makita kami na ok and tax free bili din kami.

On the places we visited we used google map and hyperdia.com for the schedule. Very helpful sha talaga. Don’t forget to bring your powerbank with you.

Our day 7 chill na lang, ayos ng mga pinamili, ayos ng gamit, tingin ng mga pics namin then just waited for our check out time. From Kyoto going to airport almost 4 hours din. We love shinkansen! Mas maganda pa sha sa Jetstar haha.

Btw, we didn’t visited the Disney & USJ kasi pare preho kaming hindi mahilig sa theme park Maybe on next visit pag kasama na mga bagets. Total individual expenses kasama airfare, fare, food and panshopping, safe na for me ang 50K.

just finished backreading all the Osaka-Kyoto threads. very helpful! so excited to be back! 11 kami lahat, dati solo quick 2-day travel ko tong dalawang city. )

question, what are the chances na madelay ang flight ng Cebu Pac going to Osaka? kasi nung April papunta kami Seoul, halos sabay sya sa Osaka flight eh delayed parehas. Nakaalis kami Incheon near 12 midnight na dahil marami tao sa immigration. I am afraid the same would happen sa Osaka. My problem is yung Haruka train kasi from KIX going to Kyoto ay 10:20 pm ang last train. I'm worried baka di kami umabot. Sino dito yung recent lang na pumunta ng Osaka? Nagkakadelays pa rin ba sa Cebu Pac?

We plan kasi to stay 2 days muna sa Kyoto then 2 days sa Osaka para mas malapit kapag pabalik saka yung USJ kasi gagawin namin on a weekday eh ang dating namin dun weekend. Thanks a lot!

^ pwede yung budget na yan for their "fast food", like Matsuya. Madami naman yan dun. For breakfast, bili na lang sa supermarket or bakery.

a-must place lang naman na gusto ng mga kids ko is yung USJ, then we toured around namba/dotonbori area. shopping, eating, ganun lang ginawa namin   mas nahirapan akong sundan ang subway nila sa osaka VS seoul

pero in the end, natutunan naman pasikot sikot ng osaka. everytime we travel kase we preferred DIY lagi para hawak yung time at hindi nagmamadaling gumising and all.

Question, how did you get around Kyoto with kids? Is there a bus na parang hop on/off going around the temples and the tourist sites? Or mas okay ba with taxi? Kaso 6 pax kasi kami hindi ata kasya sa taxi.

^ There are buses but you have to plan your visit to popular tourist attractions because different bus numbers serve the most popular attractions (e.g., Kinkakuji and Ginkakuji are served by different bus numbers).

We prefer travelling by taxi in Kyoto to save time.

medyo overwhelmed ako sa paggawa ng itinerary. wala pa ako masulat! but 8days kame sa osaka, nama area ang airbnb namin.

plan namin pumunta ng kyoto, nara, kobe, USJ, magikot sa osaka syempre.

anong pass ba ang dapat bilhin? nababasa ko yung SUICA? pwede na ba yun? dito ako gulung gulo, haha. sa HK kasi isang bilihan na lang, pwede na kahit anong train eh.

tsaka sulit ba mag 2-day pass sa USJ kesa magexpress pass ng 1-day trip?? gusto ko talaga mag-2 days eh kasi yan ang highlight ng pagpunta namin

^sa twice ko na punta sa japan hindi kami nag card. kasi hindi sya tulad ng HK na pwede sa lahat. iba iba may ari ng mga train lines. carry naman pumila enjoy kami. for me mas sulit 2 day pass. sa 1 day kasi halos harry potter lang mapuputahan mo. mabilis din maubos express pass nila.

a^ah talaga? pero di uubra sa tatay ko walang card eh. impatient yun lalo at ang 2 ang bagets namin. pero i think ICOCA pala kapag osaka so we will check that ag andun na.

Nasulit namin ang USJ ng magpunta kami last week. Thursday ang napili naming araw para hindi masyado crowded. Since mainit sa kanila ng July kaya siguro hindi rin ganun ka-crowded. Sa USJ online kami namili ng Express pass. Iba talaga kapag meron ka nito. Mabilis ang pila kapag express. Na-enjoy ko ang 4D ng harry potter compare sa 4D ng Spiderman. And maganda talaga ang mga view sa harry potter. Maliit lang ang USJ compare sa Everland ng South Korea. Wala kami express pass sa spiderman pero mabilis ang naging daloy ng pila namin dahil pangalawa namin ito pinuntahan after ng dragon balls. Mas inuuna kasi ng iba ang harry potter kaya siguro wala pa masyadong pila sa spiderman. Scary ang the flying dinasour pero na-carry ko namang sakyan. ang haba ng pila kahit may express pass na kami dito.

I-recommend ko pala ang place na pinag-stay in namin through airbnb, sakura guesthouse near 3 subway station. 5 mins walk to Dome-mae station, 8 mins walk to nishi nagahori station and 11 mins walk to sakuragawa station. Nung nag taxi kami papuntang dotonbori, naka-900 Yen kami. so malapit lang. Malinis yung place, may private CR, Bath Tub, provided a pocket wifi. mabilis ang wifi nila. Mura lang rent sa kanila, 4,215 ang nabooked ko. Malapit din sila sa mga convenience store and supermarket. may mcdo din near sa place nila

hangover pa ko sa Osaka-Kyoto trip namin. 2nd time ko na but still gusto ko pa rin bumalik ng Autumn. Lalo na sa Arashiyama - naiimagine ko kung gano kaganda yung mga greens doon sa Autumn. Hay I am in love with Kyoto.

Anyway, reco ko rin ang Airbnb namin haha. 1k/night lang kami for 3 pax pero good for five yung apartment. May pocket wifi. As in mga 95 m away lang sya sa subway red line which can transport you to Umeda and Namba in a few mins. Near Hankyu line din going to Kyoto and around 600 m to a JR line. PM me for more info. Haha! Natuwa kasi ako sa host namin sobrang bait na gusto ko na sya maging grannie ko  . Effort pa sya talagang imeet kami.

We are travelling to Japan on the first week of Jan. 2017 on our anniv. 
Ask ko lang, is it better na magstay ng Kyoto fr. Kansai airport than to Osaka?
Plan namin kasi sa Osaka kami magbabased pero gusto namin magspend ng 1 day sa Kyoto para less hassle sa accom.
