Hi sis peaches. Ano ba ang business mo? I have the same problem with my canteen business right now. Sabi ni hubby POS lang daw ang katapat ng dilemma ko. I find non-food items easier when it comes to inventories iyon bang mga tinitinda sa tiangge pwedeng pwede iwanan sa tindera at mga bags, shoes, shirts ang items pero sa mini store na may mga candies pa ko alangan namang bilangin ko isa isa mga candies kung ilan ang naibenta. Na realized ko nga how difficult it is to run a sari-sari store kaya eto hindi ko maiwan iwan sa helper at mahirap na although nageenjoy naman ako kasi marami din akong customer kasi tabi lang kami ng University.

Gusto ko rin magka-idea pano mag-inventory. Planning to put up my own shop, I will sell preloved items. Imported/local brands clothes, bags, shoes, basta anything preloved na pwede pa pakinabangan sa mababang presyo.

waaah, ito din problem namin. hirap kami whenever we need to replenish our stocks. May excel sheet ako dati, pero naguguluhan ako how to organize it. Bumili ak ong record book, parang hirap din ako hehe

Bump!  Also looking for an inventory software na hindi masyado mahal.  Masyadong tedious ang Excel!  Doing some free trials and I will update here kung may maganda.

Interested, or meron kaya short course para sa ganitong software, gusto kasi mag open ng overrun store na hindi ko naman kailangang tambayan.

Ang nangyayari kasi ay yung mga pumapasok na stocks lang ang nabibilang ko, hindi yung mga lumalabas. Lol. Ang hirap.

I think each item should have a code na iinput mo sa system then pag-out nya inputted din. Omg too tedious. Kelangan ata full time pag ganito. Haha.

Hi, mga sis.

Mag-share rin lang ako ano alam ko.  Back when I used to be the all-around OIC on everyday stuff like taking stock of what's left sa supplies ay I have a notebook to record all the stuff.  Like ilan na lang natitira sa LPG on hand, the welding rods, etc.  Covers all from the kitchen to those doing repairs and even medicine on hand as first-aid. 

The problem ay this approach is so old-fashioned.  Tama kayo na dapat software (and hardware compatible with it) be explored (and used if budget allows it.)  POS would be great.  What I saw sa TV series na "The Profit" was they use a lot of this even sa hair coloring section ng salon.  Hindi nga lang elaborated much though so still searching pa for a better example.

What is nice ay if the system is properly setup ay you can have even real time information even when nasa ibang lugar ka.  Critical when you need to make important decisions.

I think Microsoft Excel is a great tool for making inventory.
BUT, it will be less tedious, more enjoyable to use, can sort data, do specific function if it will be embedded with Macro function.

Or you can use Microsoft Access, but I think this is more tedious than Excel.

Maganda lahat ng idea niyo dito esp [textspeak!] macro sa excel. Ang problema kasi hindi ito ginagawa ng mga saleslady. Minsan pagcheck ko mali mali din sila sa inventory nila na manual. So kapag barcode naman pwede mo ikabit yung scanner sa cash register mo tapos un cpu na may program ka. Pero pwede ka pa din nila nakawan kahit barcode. Kaya yung iba security system na sa entrance ng store and cctv na ang nilalagay

Ang paggamit ng Excel with Macro is good for tracking your inventory, but to use it on the counter as tracking sales/inventory while customers are paying it will be a tedious and time consuming.

There is a simple way of an inventory system and very cost effective.

Yung mga goods dapat may kanya-kanyang mga sticker na may codes at presyo. Once binayaran na ng customer, kukunin ng tindera o kahera ang mga sticker na yun. Kapag na-collect na ng may-ari ang mga sticker at the end of the day, alam na kung [textspeak!]-ano mga nabenta at magkano ang sales kahit hindi pa nagbibilang ng pera sa cash register.

Dito sa Japan, ganito karaniwang ginagawa sa mga low volume na mga binebenta na goods, especially yun pinapa-consign. Pwede siguro to sa mga RTW na tiangge style, toys, accessories, at iba pa. Sa grocery type of business mahirap to.

Pwede naman kahit hindi sticker ang gamitin, pwedeng tag (o kapirasong carton) na may code at presyo at itali sa item, para hindi pwedeng pagpapalit-palitan ng mga customer. Mahirap asahan talaga na minsan magsulat pa ang tindera ng naibenta, tinatamad o nakakaligtaan. Pero siguro ang pagtatanggal ng sticker o tag, mas madali lang yun. Para mas madali pa, pwedeng color coded ang tags/stickers. Let?s say red color for bags, green for shoes, etc..

Ang barcode system kasi mahal din. Ang portable handheld scanner alone will cost you 150USD or more per unit. Heto yung type ng scanner na independent at downloadable ang memory nya. Plus bibili ka pa ng program para makagawa ng barcodes then ipi-print mo pa sa stickers. Though may nada-download online ng mga free barcode generator.

If makakapag-invest sa portable barcode scanner at downloadable ang data nya into excel spreadsheet, I?m confident that you can have a decent inventory system. Once nagkaroon na ng data galing sa Excel, with the help of a Macro function, collecting information you want is a breeze.  No need to re-type or copy-paste. Kaya na ng Macro function yun kahit hundred and thousand items pa yan, basta organized lang at may specific codes ang bawat item.

I?ve been using Microsoft Excel and Macro for 16 years with thousands of data inputs kaya I?m confident it can do inventory jobs. Heto rin current na gamit namin para sa aming online business na toys.

One reason I?m more confident to use Excel/Macro rather than other programs in making inventory, dahil ang Excel you can use it in your tablets and mobile phones. Kung gagamit ka ng special inventory programs that runs on desktop computer, baka hindi mo pwede magamit sa mobile phones/tablet.
