kelangan ba talaga magsubmit ng OB History for MAT1? from what i read here and sa website ng SSS, ultrasound report will do. sabi kasi ng sup ko need ang OB history, eh nung papapirmahan ko naman na yun sa OB ko, sabi niya para sa mga nanganak lang daw yun. this is my first pregnancy. hmm...

hi mga sis just wanna ask, may nabasa kase ako isa sa nag comment na mas malaki pwede makuha maternity benefits if self employ ang ilalagay. totoo ba.?

^sis premmiemommy same lang ang benefit regardless of the membership. Nagvavary lang sa contribution per month, yun kasi yung basis ng computation ng mat benefit.

^ Sa SSS ba? Hindi sila nagbe-base sa status mo. They will base the amount of benefit you can get on how much your contributions are sa 12-month period prior to your semester of contingency. So kung self-employed ka at mas mababa contribution mo kesa sa isang employed na maximum ang contribution, mas maliit ang makukuha ng self-employed kasi mas mababa contribution niya.

I submitted my mat-1 last monday sa sss office. Nareceive naman pero when i checked yung online account ko no maternity notification submitted ang nakalagay. Ganun ba dapat talaga? Or wait na lang na maupdate? Or should i notify the office na?

Wait mo lang sis. As long as natatakan nila yung MAT 1 mo, dont worry. It will take time talaga to post.

^sis dec212012 pero may makikita ba talagang dapat may maternity notification submitted? I havent checked yung account ko for weeks now e. Weird lang when i submitted my mat 1 ni wala man lang tiningnan na evidence na buntis ako basta tinatakan na lang. Haha

Cess Sarah, mine was required, madali lang naman siya. I just downloaded the form online and have it signed by my OB. Mat 2 can be filed up to 10 years upon giving birth.

^ Mat 1 is the form you submit to SSS together with a proof that you're pregnant, e.g. ultrasound report, before giving birth. SSS will receive it, have it stamped, give it back to you then you keep it. Now, after giving birth that's when you submit Mat 2 together with the other requirements whether you gave birth via NSD or CS, you have to submit din the stamped Mat 1 together with Mat 2. You can file Mat 2 for up to 10 years upon giving birth. But yung Mat 1 be sure to file it before you give birth.

Hi everyone. 11 weeks pregnant and based overseas. Since voluntary member ako, we paid the highest contribution for the entire year na. Then I logged in sa SSS online for the maternity notification. Ang question lang is when ang EDD. Then my husband suggested that we go to a satellite office na din to notify just to make sure. So we did. Hindi naman kami hiningan ng scan. Basta ni-check lang nung girl yung contributions online then pinirmahan nya na. It is stapled together with the claim form na sabi nya huwag ko na paghiwalayin. So paguwi namin, fill up na lang then submit for reimbursement.

@sarahnghae, yes pwede. Ako rin ng submit ng MAT 1 ko directly sa sss kahit employed ako basta pina sign ko yung sa employer's part ng form.

pag nabed rest ka while pregnant and it took say 2 weeks or more how will it be filed sa sss? bawas na ba un sa dapat paid maternity leaves mo which is supposedly nanganak ka na? thanks! or talagang pra lang syang sick leave na mababawas sa leaves mo sa office hindi pede ifile as temporary disability leaves
please advice thanks in advance

@cheniwin - so long you still have leave credits (SL specifically if you're not implementing PTO sa office nyo), bed rest or any leave during pregnancy prior delivery will be taken against such. ML (SSS) may be filed at least 2 weeks prior EDD.

complication in pregnancy is not considered as disability.
