Baby's monthly birthday

Do you celebrate your baby's monthly birthday? Usong-uso na ngayon yung ganun e. I'm 6 mos. preggy and I'm thinking of doing the same. Hindi ko alam kung saan at paano ba nagstart yung ganyan basta narealize ko na lang halos lahat ng anak ng mga friends, officemates, FB friends ko sine-celabrate yung monthly birthday until mag 1 yr old. Alam ko yung iba wala naman silang pake sa monthly celebration na yan. First baby ko 'to so super excited ako na icelebrate lahat ng milestones nya. Ngayon pa lang iniisip ko na kung anong cake ang bibilhin at yung iba pang pwedeng ihanda. May I ask ano-anong hinanda nyo?

First time mom here. My son is 8 months old. Wala kame handa pero every month bumibili kame ng cake. We just take a picture of him with his cake upload sa photo album nya para he can see them when he's older. I really want to document it monthly not for the handa or sa cake but I want to capture yung physical changes nya monthly saka yearly. Like first few months nya nagka hairfall kame dalawa halos makalbo sya now naman ayan na malago na ulit ang buhok. May mga pics sya na wala pa sya ngipin nakatawa sa cake nya now ayan 4 na ngipin na ang kita.

We did. when my daughter was less than 1 yr old. From 1st month to 12th month, Meron kaming handa monthly + cake. Nothing extravagant naman, simple lang. Meron din syang monthly pictorial, hubby ko lang nag picture sa kanya. I used to buy new clothes for her every month to wear on those pictorial. Sarap bihisan e.

Ngayon naman, I have this tradition na every time she will reach half a year of her age, we also celebrate at home. Example nung 1 1/2 yr old nya, then 2 1/2, then 3 1/2 then ngayon 4 1/2 nya.

Nakakatuwa makita yung pics and yung difference ng hitsura nya.

yes sis ginawa ko yan hehe. nagdownload ako ng printable monthly stickers tapos dinikit ko sa onesies nya saka ginawa kong cake topper yun iba.

kahit di ka naman maghanda ok lang. sa min importante lang na may cake hehe. basta maidocument mo yun paglaki nya. i recommend na picture-an mo sya katabi ng isang stuffed toy ganun. hindi namin nagawa yan pero magugulat ka na lang maa outgrow nya yun size nun stuffed toy na yun. nakakatuwa tignan. nakaka-emo din haha!

Kami may months na cake lang ang handa, may months na may pasta, pizza, or special na ulam. Depende sa budget. Pero after 6 months of celebrating it, yun pinaka maliit na round cake na lang binibili ko.. naumay kami sa cake! hehe

Yes, simple lang just to celebrate his existence. Hehe. Parang we're just thankful na nakakaraos kami each month na walang problema. I think hindi naman to recent practice lang. My mom, lola and MIL ang nagsabi sa amin and they are in their 70s na.

More than the handa, mas important sa amin yung photos. Ang saya makita ng progress nila. My husband ordered onesies for this monthly birthdays til he's 1yo.

I also have the 1sec a day app. Everyday i take 1sec video of baby. We're just (almost) on our 3rd month pero nakakatuwa pag nakacompile yung short vids kasi kitang kita paglaki.

Honestly hindi ako sumunod sa trend although minsan yung Mama ko bumili ng pizza. Naalala ko nung unang buwan, itong Lola ni hubby ang naghanda nung nakatira pa kami sa kanila. Hindi nakarating family ko since weekday yun kaya matraffic lang sila. Though only my Aunt and Uncle na nakatira malapit sa house ni hubby.

I'm on budget kaya I don't do this if ever man minsan lang but not every month.

I just remember my sister in law ginawa niya ito dun sa bunso nila na every month may cake. Hindi  ko naalala na ginawa niya ito sa older nila mas naalala ko yung bunso.

Salamat sa input mga sis. May idea na ko...Para sa kin mandatory yung cake (siempre naman!)tapos plan ko din bumili ng stickers na nakalagay numbers 1-12 para ididikit ko yun sa damit ng baby every month. For the first month, siempre ididikit ko yung number 1 and so on...Tapos parang magandang idea rin yung sinabi dito na may katabi syang stuff toy for reference ng growth nya every month. Hindi ko pa sure kung magdagdag pa ko ng kahit spaghetti o pansit, drinks, pastries, etc kasi 3 lang kami adults sa bahay at mahihinang kumain so baka masayang lang din. Depende na rin siguro sa mood yun at budget.

Nagawa ko na rin pala yung 8th months ata niya nagpunta kaming Tagaytay although just because of the discount rate ng hotel. Nag overnight kami run. It happens lang na my hubby cannot make it kasi it's weekday kaya I am with my parents and this baby.

we bought cake lang every month then took pictures from 1 to 11 months. then during his 1st birthday party, we displayed all his monthly birthday pics, naging instant decor for his party. looks cuter if you have a theme for your monthly birthday pictures.

Yep same here! di naman need na bongga agad parang milestone na din plus un picture taking we make cut-outs! ^_^  and I bake na din hehe

Me too.  I make sure to buy a cake every month to celebrate my son's monthly birthday.  At times, we prepare pasta or I just buy pansit.  Not a big celebration that I have to invite family and friends. Kami kami lang sa bahay.
I will be doing the same with my incoming baby.

ganyan din ginawa ko sis. yun mga monthly pictures nya, ni-frame namin tapos nilagay per table. Kung ilan month sya, yun na rin ang table number.

Ginawa ko ito for my son.. every month we have a cake to celebrate the date he came to our lives. siempre meron pasta/ pansit for long life with fried chicken or whatever goes well with our pasta / pansit. madalas meron sponsor ng cake nya.. un inlaws ko kase 1st apo sya na carry ng surname nila.

sabi lang ng mama ko pag naumpisahan na nga lang wag daw maputol un ganun tradition kundi magtatampo un baby at magpapansin / magkakasakit.. so we never skipped his monthly birthday tradition.

Yes, we do celebrate monthly!
Gulat nga ang parents ko kasi wala namang ganun daw before and maski sa nephew ko na 8 yrs old, di naman nag celebrate monthly hehe 

I see to it na may cake and noodles or pasta at the least.  Then kung may extrang anda, dagdag na lang ng 2-3 dishes   So far, di pa naman kinakapos sa budget hehe...

During the first quarter, pancit canton ang handa namin (savory, max's, homecooked)
Ngayong 2nd quarter, palabok naman.
On the 3rd quarter, I plan naman to prepare pancit bihon/sotanghon
And lastly, spaghetti since 100% sure namang may spaghetti sa 1st year birthday nya 

Also, I make sure na every month from different stores ang cake and noodles.

My baby just turned a month old and we just bought a Red Ribbon cake. Na may dedication. Haha. So pinoy! Then I took photos of her and used an app (Baby Stickers) to document the pic. Hopefully I'll manage to do that every month.

Yup, I did this every month until my daughter turned a year old. Every month we make sure there's a cake for her. Nothing extravagant handaan naman. Just a simple pasta or pansit with chicken and hotdogs were okay na for us. I took photos of her with her cake every month para ma-document ko yung paglaki and milestones niya.

No, simply because I didn't want to have the household consume the cake every month! Hahaha I'm really conscious about sugar intake.
