Sa dati ko office some managers have their own shops too, pero they don't bother informing HR - in any case, di naman obligation sa kanila na magdisclose ng businesses nila, base on their contract terms.

Does anyone have a bluebook or tips on customer returns and refunds - what is required by the law? Customers allowed up to 14 days to return/refund? Who shoulders the postage for items returned? And ano terms ng return - kelangan in salable condition and packaging di ba?

Next question ko naman - did you register as VAT entity agad or yun sales tax lang muna? Yun VAT is where you pay quarterly tax, tapos yun sales tax (i estimate shop to make less than the 1.9m threshold, hehe, even much lower pa nga kasi simula pa lang) naman is 3% of sales/revenue, pero monthly remittance. mas gusto ko yun sales tax lang muna kaso madami admin, e remote pa naman ako... mapapagastos ako sa accountant............

Ok na. Meron conflict pero documented naman we'll follow company rules.
We go by the book kasi kailangan covered legalities para wala problema o kaso later on.

Alam ko wala law on returns kaya hindi siya normal practice sa Philippines.



I'm just sad kasi going into the corporation, I lose my benefit na 100k yearly

^not sure what you mean you'll lose your benefit, by registering as a corp? Do you mean your tax credit per child, etc?

Or is it a consequence of having a corp that has a conflict of interest with your current employer?

It's a company benefit for reaching a number of years stay but there are conditions.
Being part of the corporation makes me like having 2 employers and this will no longer make me eligible for the benefit.

Conflict of interest is no longer an issue because I got approval na.

Our plans are on hold kasi ayaw din nila I lose the benefit

Mahirap icontest yan sa current employer, kasi baka magkabad blood pa.

Just look at it this way - kaya ba ng new company mo na kitain yun P100k? That should be the hurdle rate you set for the business. Baka peanuts na lang yan compared sa potential profits ng business mo.

The other question is - will you become eligible for the P100k again if you close/sell your shop?

Di pa kaya in the first couple of years since starting small.

Still in the process of discussing with HR and setting up the business so di pa done deal on both (pwede pa changes).

Baka we'll forego my involvement for now. Investment na lang siguro.

hi mga sis good evening! just wanted to share na, i left my job ( i was a team leader for 7 years) para mag focus sa online toy shop business namin. i can say na fulfilling sya, nakakatakot sa una pero i took the risk. so fas mas okay ang income and sales namin mas nakakatutok kasi ako unlike dati na i work at night. kinain ko yung dating sinasabi ko na wag basta basta iwan ang job lalo na if di pa naman ganun kalaki ang income. hehe!

Now i realized mas happy ako sa ginagawa ko although stressful din kasi dumami bigla agn orders, the only thing na pinagsisihan ko is sana dati ko pa sya ginawa. mas may time narin ako ngayon sa daughter ko

^I hope i can say the same, eventually. In the process of setting up our online shop for home furnishings. I wear so many hats, right now i'm learning wordpress and woo commerce, may pressure but manageable - kasi di naman kami dependent sa negosyo at this time. But setting the biz up gets me excited, and I can visualise realising my goal of having more time more kids and myself - I imagine my schedule na - drive kids to their school, gym, then work on business, pick up kids, drop off sa after-school activities nila, then work on business while kids have their music or sports lessons. nakakatuwa!

@j.adore - does that mean becoming a non-participating investor in the corp? Maybe that can help, and you are then not employed by the corp. Kasi you dont direct the corp's activities. Anyway medyo tricky and critical yun definition ng role mo so as not to become an employee of another company.

Ako din nag start ng small business, online shop for baby clothes. Mahirap pala kasi wala pang bumibili haha! Pero think positive nalang ako in the coming days siguro may makakadiscover din sa page ko. haha

Yes sis ganun nga ginawa ko, hehe pero kasi mahirap pala ibenta ang baby clothes.
Pinag-iisipan ko pa kung magtitinda din ako ng RTW eh. hehe

^Mahirap ibenta ang clothes in general. Why? Saturated na yung market with online sellers of clothes, tapos
nandyan pa yung overruns then if may budget ka naman meron naman yung H&M, F21 and uniqlo clothes.
Okay magbenta ng clothes kung talagang unique siya.


Matagal na akong online seller, started with clothes then moved now to planner items. This year, me & my husband decided
to open a boardgame cafe. 20 days pa lang but so far so good. We still have our jobs (same company) and we open our shop
in the afternoon until 10-11 p.m. Hopefully it grows as our life saving is in here. hehe!

But yung mga failed businesses ko, I dont take them as "failures" because I definitely learned something from them. right now, I think sa daming businesses ang napagdaanan ko, siguro hinog na ako. I am starting from scratch again.

hi mga sis! My husband and I have a very small business. I can say we got more sale when I stopped working kasi nakatutok na ako. We then tried bazaars etc and people got more awareness of our business. I had a hard time sa bazaars most specially during ingress and egress. Later I got hired as a VA and napabayaan na ng konti si business.

Nasasayangan ako kasi kumikita naman yung business kaso di ko lang talaga ma manage ng maayos like salary ko and walang akong business plan.

Hopeful to be able to recover and move our business on the top again.

same here. i have tried selling online for many years and i share your frustration. like sa ebay, may mga power sellers. i don't know how they do it.
