I am not sure if I elaborated here about it but may it be feng shui or any other such art and science ay sensitive about money. May it be as offering or even as using it as a product.

Not good ang having the septic tank under the stairs. Super uber malas ang pwedeng kalabasan niyan. The best option is to not have it done. If it has already been so ay you can only do band aid remedies dahil festering wound iyan. Iyong case ko who had that setup iyan yun first case ko I had to do exorcism. Na-fix naman but more of ang approach I did was to help them find a better place. Which would be the course of action mo rin once such a setup happens sa inyo.

Rice o salt pouch ay simply ibalot mo sa red cloth yun asin o bigas then i-knot mo with a yellow string kung maari. Place it sa area affected like sa door, window, under your pillow, etc. Take note na ang salt corrodes stuff ha.
Replace it when you feel the imbalance is back but this is more of a helper tool than an outright solution ha. What I mean about this is dapat pa rin may pagbabago mangyari sa iyo para ma-feel mo ang effect nito.
Rock salt or kung may budget ka then himalayan salt. Dapat iyong hindi iodized. No idea ano composition ng bath salts ha. Sabon, shampoo at tubig lang alam ko panligo.

Yes, masama talaga sa feng shui na mas mataas ang CR and/or septic tank than any part of the house. Like kung mas mataas ang CR mo sa ground floor than your kitchen, dining room or even main door area ay uber set of challenges ang least mo i-expect.
Yellow o warm lighting muna sa CR area as well as areas close to it. May LED na of that color - yun warm o yellow na parang old bulb ang labas ng ilaw. Though you do need to look for it kasi wala sa mga small hardware stores. As this may be a bit over sa budget ng iba and hindi naman maganda to opt for old bulbs as magastos sa kuryente then plants. Pero plants with long thin leaves inside or near the CR area dapat.
