Wedding Themes Ideas for 2016

Hi girls Can you please share your tips and ideas on choosing a wedding theme? My wedding's on October pa naman but we haven't finalized the wedding theme yet.

Just to give you a background, Church wedding kami and our venue's an event hall. We have Hizon's as our caterer pero I believe basic lang yun styling nila. I want it to have it customized sana, medyo hindi ko gusto yun nasa album nila. Too bright yun colors for me. My original idea is Rustic sana.

Hi, sis! We're not done yet with ours. This was my problem twice! 1st plan kasi was to have our reception in a Chinese restaurant. To avoid red, I remembered Chinoiserie. Chinese patterns siya done in different color combinations. We chose to go with the more familiar blue & white. Kaso that plan was scraped coz change of wedding plans.

Yung theme namin now is just contemporary-minimalist.. In short, tipid! Haha kidding aside. Dahil tight ang budget we looked at venues that we don't need to dress up. From the Champagne Room to something really bare like Whitespace. I originally wanted Whitespace & play with that bareness. But we opted for somewhere else na medyo bare din. We'll just order white floral table centerpieces, maybe a simple stage wall backdrop if budget permits & lights courtesy of my bro-in-law. Oh yeah, we're still going with blue & white but different tone na.

Many things to consider in choosing your theme and color motif
- your & fiancé's personality.. Some brides dress up their venue according with their shared interests.. Like travelling, literature..
- venue.. If you've booked your venue na without a theme in mind, search for previous events held there to get an idea. I think medyo easy to decorate gardens. Aside from not needing much decor coz nice na the surroundings, madaming ideas makita from Pinterest & the like. Hotel ballrooms are usually lavish enough so that part's good for you. Halls & tents are the tricky ones. Although you could go the contemporary route as well.
- your theme could help you with the color motif.. Like yung 1st idea was to decorate the venue with Chinoiserie that lead us to choose blue & white amongst the other ones.

Pinterest will be your new best friend. Rustic looks simple but it's quite hard to execute coz madami siyang different details if you're OC with decor. HTH!
