Just came back from SG! Haaay ang ganda! Pero grabe ang pagod namin!!

sis Sunflowers, nag Henderson Waves kami..bus lang papunta.. I forgot what bus number, galing kami nun Ikea. Madami talaga lakad coz pag baba ng bus aakyat ka steep stairs kasi sa taas yung bridge..dahil andami naming pagod, nag cab na lang kami after

^^^sis pchym, Ghost festival or ghost month is a month-long celebration. It's the time they make offerings sa mga beloved nila who already passed away.
What i can remember when we still live in sg is that during those times, mausok kasi mahilig nga sila magsunog ng mga moneys, car, shoes, clothes made of paper (may nabibiling ganun sa mga stores). And marami kang makikitang mga fruit (mandarin oranges) offerings sa mga hawker centers, mga candles sa side streets, etc
But with regard to your vacation, i don't think it will have any effect whatsoever, because they usually do it around residential areas, not in tourist attractions. Good luck sis and have fun!

Hi sis, doable naman yang itinerary nyo.
 I would suggest lang since you have 2 kids, bring water bottle for each kid and some biscuits. Lalo na puro lakad sa singapore. Malamang maiinip at magugutom mga kids mo while walking. Magdadala rin ba kayong stroller/s? Hopefully yes.

Hawker after nyo mag-luge? Parang walang hawker sa sentosa area eh. Meron sa kabila (USS side) Malaysian Food Street. Parang food court. Or pwde rin sa vivo city nlng kayo magdinner after.

Parang masyado nang full yung itinerary nyo don't know san pwede masingit ang orchard. Pwede pala sa last day, before kayo pumunta sa airport, kung talagang gusto nyo.

If you're staying around Dhoby Ghaut area, actually malapit na yun sa Orchard Road, derechong lakad lang mga 20-30mins sigurong lakad, or 2 train stations away.
Or sa 2nd or 3rd night bago kayo umuwi sa hotel, baka pwede nyo masingit. Mas maganda pala maglakad dun sa Orchard Rd pag gabi kasi mailaw.

Yup water is potable. Tama yung nasa blog. About weather in august, it is usually hot and sunny all year sa sg. Pag may occasional rainshowers, saglit lang and after nun, parang walang nangyari, maaraw ulit.

definitely flats and rubber shoes!
if you are planning to gamble and visit casino then you cannot wear slipper and shorts sis o9kristin.
if you like to eat in a fine dining restaurant like inside the hotel (not the usual buffet) usually they have a dress code din.

August is hungry ghost month! there will be mooncake everywhere! so try to bring some at home they are really way better than what we have in PH!

^ nakabili kami ng tourist sim sa airport, M1 yung provider, 100 Gig data, nag hotspot na lang si bf ~ kung few days lang kayo, puede na siguro yon. Kalimot ko lang how much tong sim. Valid for 7 days yung sim. No need to rent yung pocket wifi
Also, free wifi sa Changi airport, hingi lang ng PIN sa Information desk, kung okay lang sa inyo na yun muna, then buy cheaper sim sa mga 7/11 Singtel toursit sim, pero lower ang data, pero di naman siguro magagamit kung few days lang and most of the establishments may free wifi

i stumbled upon yung Starhub SIM sa airport. SGD15 lang pero 100GB ang data. not sure lang if available for sale sa Changi airport. if di available, we might try M1 or Singtel. pocket wifi? hmmm... pero kung marami namang wifi spots sa SG, keri na sigurokahit wala. hehe. need ko kasi yung SIM to communicate with the owner of the condo unit. 4 days/ 3 nights lang naman kami.

may service fee sa Travel Delight when you buy online. :-( sa Klook, wala. yung posted prices, yun na yun. pero i have no choice but to buy ng Hop on Hop off bus sa TD. SGD28 lang kasi sa kanila. 34SGD sa Klook.

Hi everyone! Has anyone tried taking the Starmart Express Executive bus (27 seater) from SG to KL?

Plan to buy our tickets online thru redbus but medyo unsure ako because of the bad reviews I've read
online. Hope someone can post a positive feedback naman re Starmart, or whatever bus company they've
taken.

^sis sa Redbus.sg ako bumili tickets para sa bus transfer namin from SG to LEGOLAND (v.v), pero hindi Starmart Express yung bus namin, we rode Transtar Travel, okay naman yung experience naming.

^^Redbus kami nun. Maayos ang service nila. We were in a less than 10 pax sa isang bus papuntang Legoland then pauwi 3 nalang kami ng kasama ko haha Bus driver was really nice kahit na-late kami ng papunta at pauwi sa meetup spot.

^Yes, Golden Mile Complex. Nag-taxi kami papunta dun. Binaba kami mismo sa Legoland. Konting lakad papasok sa entrance. Kung saan kayo binaba dun din kayo magkikita.
