Here is my trip report!
I and my mother went to SG from May 19-22. From KL, we took the midnight bus papuntang Singapore. All is well until we reach the SG immigration. May something na nakita sa luggages namin nung iniscan kaya they asked us to open all our luggages and bags. As in lahat. Kalmado ako while they're scrutinizing our things while my mother was pale na because of tension. Belt lang pala yung something na nakita nila sa scanner, mahilig kasi mother ko sa belts so may dala siya sa luggage na 3 belts. After the inspection, akala ko tapos na. Akala ko lang pala. Pinaiwan kami ng mother ko at ininterview. They asked for our plane tickets, pati kung saan kami magstay sa SG and if I have a friend na bibisitahin. I told the IOs na this is my first time in SG and it was a diy trip. I showed him my printed hotel booking. They asked me how much is my pocket money. I answered all the questions confidently kasi this was really a leisure trip to celebrate my birthday. I was kinda annoyed though because kami lang pinaiwan ng IO, to think na ang dami ng stamp ng passport ko. I was more worried for my mother na sobrang takot na and baka iwanan kami ng bus driver. Finally, natapos na din ang mga tanong and tinatakan na passport namin. Mabuti na lang hinintay pa din kami ng bus driver.
We arrived at Golden Mile Tower at around 5 am. Dahil takot ako magtaxi, tumambay muna kami dun at nagpalipas ng oras. Around 5:30 am, naglakad na kami papuntang Nicoll Highway MRT station. Dun na din ako bumili ng EZ Link card. Mga 5-10 mins walk lang from Bugis MRT ang SEA Hotel. I have low expectations with the hotel but when we reached the room, I was relieved that the room was big and malinis ang cr. May water heater and complimentary tea. The only downside is hindi free ang wifi. But I love that may Fox movies ang cable tv, haha.
We rested for a bit, took a bath and then went to Sentosa. Nagpicture picture na kami sa USS Globe at sa Candylicious store then diretso sa Malaysia Food Street for early lunch. After lunch, nagpunta na kami sa SEA Aquarium. I bought our tickets from Klook. I have never been to any Ocean Park before so wala akong comparison and naenjoy ko siya. We spend almost 3 hours roaming inside then we decided na pumunta na sa Merlion Park. Bale dun kami bumaba sa Esplanade station. Mahaba-habang lakaran din pero di mo naman mapapansin yung haba ng nilakad mo because of the indoor mall. Dun kami sa Merlion park tumambay at nanood ng MBS free light show. At almost 9 pm, nakarating din kami sa hotel.
Day 2: My birthday and USS Day
Almost 10 am na kami nakarating ng Harbourfront Centre kasi kumain pa kami ng breakfast sa hotel. Sumakay kami ng cable car. Nung una ayoko pa kasi I used to have a fear of heights pero later on, naenjoy ko na. Past 11 am na kami nakarating ng USS. Una naming pinilahan ang Transformers. Grabe, ang haba ng pila, mga 1 1/2 hour pero sobrang worth it! Astig! Next is Lights, Camera, Action. Nice yung special effects. We then proceeded sa Crate Adventure. Medyo nabore kami dito. Then watch ng Shrek 4D. I like it, haha. Pupunta na sana kami sa Waterworld kaso 5:30 pm pa daw yung show kaya inuna na muna namin yung Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure. Hindi kami prepared, wala kaming dalang poncho. May spare shirt yung mother ko kaya ipinatong ko yun sa dress ko. Super enjoy ang ride pero nabasa kami. Buti na lang din nagpalit ako ng tsinelas before the ride. Dahil naenjoy ko talaga ang Malaysia Food Street, dun na naman kami kumain. After the late lunch, bumalik kami sa USS and nanood ng Waterworld show. Sobrang amazing! It is a must-watch. Ang galing ng mga performers. Nakakabilib. Last but not the least, pumunta kami sa Revenge of the Mummy. Never pa ko nakasakay ng any roller coasters kasi takot talaga ko kaso naisip ko tutal nasa USS na ko at birthday ko naman, might as well try the ride. Hanep! I have never been so afraid in my life. The whole ride eh nakapikit yung mata ko, naninigas na ko sa takot. Sudden talaga yung movements. Akala ko mahuhulog na ko at katapusan ko na. I was that afraid. Nakahinga lang ako ng maluwag nung tapos na yung ride. But no regrets, at least naexperience ko.
Hindi na namin naumpisahan yung free light show sa Gardens By The Bay. Nagstroll kami ng konti sa Marina Bay Sands then nagdecide na umuwi. Dahil malapit lang yung hotel namin sa Bugis Market, dumaan kami dun and nakabili ng dress.
Day 3 Botanical Garden
Nagbreakfast kami ulit sa hotel, haha. Mga 10 am na kami nakarating sa Botanical Garden. Ang laki pala niya. Pumunta kami sa Orchid Garden. 5 sgd yung entrance fee. Ang ganda ng mga orchids. Yung isang employee dun, nagvolunteer to take our picture. So we thanked him after and went our way. After few minutes, nakasunod na naman siya sa amin. Lumayo kami sa kanya ng pasimple, kunyari busy kami sa pagtingin tingin. After some time, nasa likuran na naman namin siya! He volunteered to take our pictures. I said thanks and showed him my selfie stick. After few minutes, ayun na naman siya, nasa likuran namin. Grabe mga sis! Medyo bad trip na din ako that time sa kasusunod niya. Nahalata na din yata niya na naiilang na kami kaya nag explain siya na wag kami mag-isip ng masama. Nagbye bye na din siya.
2 PM na nung umalis kami ng Botanical Garden at pumunta ng Orchard Road. Bumili kami ng ice cream on bread sa sidewalk na durian flavor. Nung naubos ko yung ice cream, bumili ulit ako pero this time, raspberry flavor at on wafer na. Tawa ng tawa yung tindero kasi 2x daw ako bumili. Haha.
Umuwi kami ng Bugis at kumain sa Albert Centre. Sobrang sarap ng laksa at biryani! 5 pm yung usapan namin ng friend ko magkikita sa Chinatown MRT station pero 6:30 pm na kami nakarating. Akala ko yung friend ko lang yung andun pero kasama pala si husband niya na kumpare ko din kaya medyo nahiya ako sa pagkalate namin. Akala daw niya eh naligaw na kami, hahaha. We bought keychains 42 pcs at 10 sgd, t-shirts 4 pcs at 10 sgd na makapal naman ang tela, at bags na 5 pcs for 10 sgd. Kumain kami sa eat all you can na Korean resto but I forgot the name.
Day 4 Uwian time
Aga kami gumising para makapaglibot pa sa Changi Airport. Ang ganda ng airport, ang daming photo ops. Sa airport na kami nagbreakfast, sa Killiney Kopitiam. Ang sarap ng kaya toast butter!
