@heatherette hi sis we are planning to stay at Strand Hotel this coming June. Ok ba dun? We are a group of 6, 5 adults and one four year old. Is the construction outside the hotel hassle ba? Is it noisy? And also can anyone give me suggestions on how to go about the Merlion MBS area? We will be coming from Orchard road do we start our way from Merlion then MBS then Gardens by the Bay? We would like to end our walking trip at Makansutra for dinner. Any idea what time the light show is at gardens by the bay?

^Yes. Ok yung hotel na yun Sa room namin (9th flr) hindi dinig yung construction. Tapos may ginawa silang way for pedestrian para makapunta ka sa tapat nila since hinarangan nila yun.

From Orchard MTR:
1. Train to Marina South Pier
2. Alight at Raffles Place (Exit H)

Masyadong dulo yung lakad niyo sis. Kasi si Merlion Park and Makansutra magkalapit. So Merlion Park - Helix Bridge - MBS - GBTB.

What we did:
Esplanade then early dinner at Makansutra then Helix Bridge going to MBS. Nag-Skypark kami. The following day na kami nakapag-Merlion Park. Di na kinaya ng kasama namin na Esplanade - Merlion Park - Helix Bridge - MBS.

^ sis, weather in SG (well to me) is the same all year round. Ang ulan can happen anytime of the day hehe. pero may mga times na in a week everyday umuulan, sorry can't recall if there's a particular month, hinde ko manotice.
may times dati every lunch umuulan, dati naman every Saturday, ewan ko ba unpredictable talaga. wala naman bagyo dito if that helps.
in short, just always bring an umbrella/raincoat.

ang init is comparable sa Pinas, some say mas mainit sa Pinas, while some (incl me) mas mainit dito sa SG.

*not recommended if babalik pa kayo sa Espalanade for Makansutra kasi ang layo na lalakarin nyo. Add pa natin ang paglakad to Merlion Park from MRT, medyo malayo din yan.
- pwede kayo dinner sa foodcourt sa MBS mall or sa Satay by the Bay sa GBTB

why not ganito?

Gardens by the Bay (Bayfront stn) > MBS > Helix Bridge > Esplanade > Merlion Park then balik Esplanade for Makansutra

hi mga sisses. i will be on sg next month with my mother. super excited na kami. by the way, has anybody stayed at Rucksack Inn at Mackenzie Road? May ongoing promo sila na 25% discount on all rooms. I inquired via email and luckily, may available sila na superior double room and it will cost me only 293 sgd for 3 days. It's a good deal na diba? However, they require me to send a photo of my debit card front and back. Medyo natakot lang ako mga sisses. Is it safe ba? Kasi syempre if I send the photos via email, that means may record na sila ng debit card ko. Medyo freaky lang.

On the other hand, nakapagpareserve din ako sa SEA hotel and they didn't require me a downpayment. The room is a standard queen room, free breakfast and it will cost me 300 sgd for 3 days. kaso walang free wifi. huhubels.

any suggestions mga sis? nalilito na kasi ako saan kami magstay eh. thank you in advance.

Help naman please for Singapore 4days Itinerary. We will visit on August, family of 3, with 9 yr old kid. First time namin sa Singapore, so sana we can maximize the trip.

2days will be reserved for USS and LEGOLAND, but if you can give tips on what activities we can do on the same day of USS and LEGOLAND, if possible.

Another thing is that Arrival with CebuPac is 9AM, but do you think its better to do the late night flight - departure sa Pinas ng 1030PM, arrival sa Airport ng 2AM. Im guessing 3 AM we can leave the airport, but may transport system pa ba noon? I just want to maximize the day kasi. Planing to book Airbnb or hostel para cheper rates total matutulog lang naman.

Departure from Singapore is 630PM on the 4th day.

^After namin mag-USS nag-ikot ikot kami sa Vivo City kami then walang magawa nag-Ion Orchard hehe We finished USS around 5PM. Almost all rides nasakyan namin, except mga 2-3 na pambata.

Legoland naman 5PM kami umalis then mga 7PM nasa SG na kami. Nag-Mustafa Centre kami nun.

Ok lang ba na 1 day sa legoland and HK park? (Planning na weekday daytrip)? Read sa ibang blogs na maliit lang HK park so kaya naman daw. Pero i love hello kitty so baka lahat ng sulok dun magpapicture ako hehe. Para di na kame maghotel sa malaysia

@summersunder Yes sis very doable ang day trip to Hello Kitty and Legoland.

@rikki21 Sis wala pang MRT ng 3am, so magtataxi na kayo ng ganyang time. Btw, may midnight surcharge (50% of the metered fare) + $3 airport charge ang taxi pag madaling araw kayo dadating.

Hindi din kayo makaka-checkin sa hostel/hostel ng ganyan ka-aga unless i-book nyo yung day before
or magpaarrange kayo ng early check-in. For me hindi ko advise yang time na yan to flyin to SG, mas advantageous ang flight na yan for OFWs. For sure antok na antok din kayo nyan, lalo na si bagets.

Better to take the 9am arrival of CebPac, makaka-clear kayo sa immigration around 10am. Around 11am asa hotel na kayo for early check-in or you can leave your stuff sa reception and have lunch outside na.

@chinablue Hi sis take note that Rucksack Inn is a hostel, I think all their bathrooms are shared. Better check on this lalo na kung kasama mo ang mom mo (okay lang ba sya sa shared banyo).
Natry na ng parents ko magstay sa SEA Hotel, medyo luma na din sya pero okay naman.

Ako nag-enjoy sa Singapore Zoo, I think the kids will enjoy it too.
The animals are not in cages and mas makikita mo sila ng malapitan .

Haven't tried River Safari pa so I can't comment on this.
