I love my slow cooker :) I turn it on in the morning (prepped last night), leave for work and come home to a cooked meal. Then we just have the leftovers for lunch the next day.

Also, I buy stuff to put in my salad but make sure I have always have a protein so that I get full. I put grilled chicken breast to tuna to nuts.. basta whatever I have in my pantry/ref.

Packed lunch means easy and comfortable eating, so wala yung mga mahirap kainin na food. My usual at work is usually chicken adobo (kasi di kailangan kamayin pagkain) and sometimes, may cucumber din or salad (whichever suits my mood for that day). Yung salad is usually just lettuce, tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, croutons (bread crumbs) and dressing (vinaigrette). Ang salad lang ang medyo mahirap kainin, but sliced into small strips naman yung lettuce, so ok na rin.

If you want something healthier than chicken adobo, go for baked chicken (medyo matagal lang ang prep time).

Aside from chicken, I also like fish for lunch - yung maliliit na hipon?

I eat rice at lunch kasi hindi ako masyado nagra-rice kung dinner.

If I don't like eating a rice meal, what I usually pack is whole wheat sandwich na peanut butter or cheese. :)

you can do pita wrap din :)
Oven roasted chicken, lettuce, tomato, cucumber :) add cheese if you like. Then sa dressing you can make asian dressing or mayo something something para may variety :D

Ako naman sis lettuce wraps binabaon ko kasi I'm trying to cut down on carbs. I mix it up - baked chicken breast cut into cubes / tuna chunks in water / turkey slices / Canadian ham with Greek yogurt and black olives, tomatoes and cucumber (onting salt and pepper kung trip nyo) -  Sarap!

Hi, sis, Dragonfly! I like your lettuce wraps idea! I think I'll try it this weekend (grocery muna ako...hehe). I'll go with chicken breast and tuna chunks nalang siguro. What do you suggest as substitute?

I got the idea from a special feature sa Fox News. Slice lang yung carrots like French fries. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with a little salt. Then lagay mo na sa toaster or microwave. Try mo, sis! Yum2 din siya! :)

Hello, sis mimai1122!  Sounds yummy din yang carrot fries mo!  Try ko din  :)

Kung walang Greek yogurt, pwede substitute non-fat plain yogurt or even cream cheese, just go for the reduced fat or non-fat kind.  For filling, you can buy the roasted/rotisserie chicken available sa malls.

Oo masarap syang snack.  Usually for lunch I eat two wraps na sakto lang ang laki, di maliit, di malaki.  Minsan pag kulang, cino-combo ko with soup para filling   ;D

Watch Erwan Heussaff's one-bowl meals, madali lutuin and tasty, not bland food like steamed vegetables or meat. And feeling ko, balanced din naman. :)

I like this thread!
My suggestion is: buy chicken breast fillet and invest on spices. There are a lot you can do with chicken breast fillet - grill. steam. fry.
partner with carrots and corn or broccoli on the side. :)

I bring baon everyday. Brown rice or quinoa with chicken. Or wheat bread and peanut butter and banana - just like with military diet. :)
always have lemon!
slice it and put in water, makes you healthy and good for digestion

It only takes less than 1min to cook sa microwave.

You can make a sunny side up, overeasy, or kahit anong omelette - tuna and capers, chicken and bell peppers, sausage and onions, basil and tomatoes, mushroom and cheese etc. Search sa internet for ideas. I chop the sahog the sa house.

Eggs are versatile, pwede breakfast, lunch, merienda. Pwede with bread, rice, crackers, or as standalone meal.

I've been doing packed lunch for work for a year now and believe me it works!

Nung unang mga months, solid salad ako every night. Pero di nag tagal nag umay ako. So I thought of searching healthy recipes online na madaling gawin and laki ng naitipid ko!

For 1 week, here's my food example.
Monday & Tuesday - Squash soup (Can last inside the fridge for 2 days if properly stored)
Ingredients:
1. Half squash (around Php20.00)
2. 1 small can of diced mushrooms
3. Unsalted butter
4. Onions & Garlic
I think it's already self explanatory but all you need to do is saute onion&garlic with unsalted butter (1/6 bar lang ha). Blend it. Then saute mushroom and pour the soup.

Wednesday - San Marino canned tuna with mushroom palaman on whole wheat rebisco crackers (4pcs)

Thursday - Chicken & Brocolli - just saute them with virgin olive oil

Friday - Egg omelet (mushroom, bell pepper, olives, a bit of cheddar cheese)

Tapos I eat Fitbar or boiled egg for mirienda! 110 calories lang :D
