Perez Hilton, one of the judges, was on Good Morning America to clarify what happened. He reiterated talaga, on TV, na the winner is PHILIPPINES. All four of them voted for the Philippines, so that was a win that was kinda hard to contest, even if Colombia won the candidates' vote or online votes (which I doubt yung online. hehe). He said that the best thing that happened to Colombia was to lose, kasi nga she's getting all the press. But I think he just recently saw what Colombia posted on IG, and inulit nya na it was Miss Philippines who won Miss Universe, feeling ko to prove the point na "Teh, hindi ka naging Miss Universe."

I understand that they feel like may karapatan si Colombia to win, she got first runner up after all - BUT, to anyone watching, it was the Q & A portion that broke their 'tie' so to speak. Umangat ng many many levels si Pia eh, she did magnificent TWICE sa Q & A, and she did just as well sa ibang portions like swimsuit and evening gown. Obviously though, from the comments ng mga taga-Colombia, they always say mas maganda si Colombia, ang batayan lang nila for pageants ay GANDA. Very superficial. No wonder their candidates are 'perfect' physically, pero ang mga sagot - errrr..... yeah.

Regarding the online thing - well who's to say that the Latinos didn't have a strategy of their own? They might even talk about it online di nga lang natin naintindihan. Hehe. Although there's a fine line between strategy and cheating nga naman. But with the way Pinoys tweet? Jusmio, di na ko magtatakang maipapanalo ang online voting even without a strategy.

Pia doesn't deserve all the hate that she's getting from the Latino community. It's not her fault na nagkamali si Steve Harry ng pag announce ng winner. I still kinda haven't moved on to be honest kasi Pia's crowning moment was taken away from her. Her momentum was ruined because of Steve pero on the brighter side, sobrang epic and historic nung pagkapanalo niya dahil nung mix up thingy kaya di siya basta basta makakalimutan ng mga tao.

Tapos naloka ako kasi yung mga Colombians talaga ay bitter to the point na mag file ng lawsuit sa Miss Universe Org

Una I have to say this is now the effect sa pagkakamali ni Steve Harvey. But then he took responsibility with it. With that article in which I hope satire lang yan, it only shows that they are sore losers. Kung tutuusin hindi rin ginusto ng mga pinoy ang nangyari yet as first runner up na nga dapat tanggap na natin na hindi pa si Pia ang Miss U or hindi pa yung bansa natin ang magiging title holder. If that will be other way around mas masakit pa di hamak kasi after 42 years akala natin ito na then mababawi pala. I can still imagine that. Pero kung iisipin nila dapat yes kawawa yung contestant but then at least meron na silang Colombian pride last year. Being 1st runner up is not bad. Dito sa Pinas hindi tayo nagluluksa sa pagiging runner up nila Miriam lalo na ni Venus Raj, Shamcey and Janine. Kaya yang paabutin pa sa korte kalokohan na ang tawag dyan. Parang naman uunlad ang bansa nila nandahil dyan sa Korona. Mabibigyan ba ang buong mundo ng free tourism sa Colombia kapag nakuha nila ang Korona?

Ang kinaganda lang ng situation ito ilang taon man ang lumipas nasa history na sya ng Ms. Universe na may controversy. Saka mas nakilala sya. Iba nga confident ni Pia sa pageant nato mapapansin mo talaga. Siguro kasi sanay na nga sya sa camera.

Oo nga naman  nakapag suot ka pa rin ng Korona in just few minutes with sash pa. Kaya nga for me okay lang na naipost niya yung picture with crown sa instagram niya. Libre pa rin naman mangarap ano. Saka isa pa hindi naman lahat ng mga tao nakakasuot niyan ganyang korona kahit mga bakla. Kung ako lang pagbibigyan ko na siya kasi kahit sabihin mong picture na lang yan alam naman na ng buong mundo ang totoo eh!

Although naawa rin naman ako kay Miss Colombia, now it is her birthday pala Christmas day! tsk tsk tsk... sayang talaga yung dream na yun. I mean magandang birthday gift na sana sa kanya days before Christmas ang birthday pa.

Bakit bitter ang mga Viets and Thais? Inaano ba sila? May nabasa pa ko na nagssuggest na may conspiracy sa pagka-panalo ni Pia. Bat kaya ibang tao ang hina ng comprehension skills noh? Nagkamali nga ng announce, hindi naman sila nadaya. Ang tat*nga lang ng ibang nagccomment in favor kay Colombia.

Parang ang daming kalokohang sinabi ng article dyan sa Time na yan. Kesyo bakit raw it took the host so long before realizing the error.  Duhhh kung tutuusin may mga nag alisan agad sa theater after announcing the winner, tapos kami nga muntikan patayin TV pero parang may inaabangan pa kami. Alam ng buong mundo na kung ilang minuto lang nasuot ni Miss Colombia yung crown.

Hindi na rin naman bale if Miss Colombia, even her family and relatives would say something. Nakakadisappoint nga naman yung feeling. Ang naiirita talaga ako sa mga contestants ng pageant mismo. I understand na naawa sila kay Miss Colombia more so if they are rooting for her. Pero disagree ako sa ginawa nila sa pambabastos nila kay Pia. Yun na nga ang pagkakataon that the winner should comfort her and for sure Pia will apologize too of what happened, hindi naman magyayabang si Pia eh! Kahit ako sa lagay ni Pia masakit rin sa akin na kailangan pa may ma offend sa nangyari. Knowing the fact naman na yung ibang candidate kaya nga sila naandyan eh understood naman kung bakit sila naging representative ng bansa nila o nanalo. Siguro naman they have their brains and smart enough to analyze the situation. Sila pa nga dapat ang unang nakakaintindi kesa sa mga tao sa buong mundo. What they did is parang silang mga bata na nagkampihan tapos pagkakaisahan nila yung isang contestant sabay mag cheer pa sila na parang mga asar talo. Wala lang hindi ko maimagine yung pagka walang class nila and immature.

I knew it - the look on Pia's face when Steve Harvey said that the other contestants will vote too. She probably wasn't the chummy kind. And that's not bad at all, lalo na't mukhang yun naman talaga ang personalidad nya.  It's not like she wasn't befriending anyone though, kasi mukhang ok naman sya with the other Asians na she was often photographed with. She was probably most comfortable with Myanmar, Malaysia as their reactions toward each other on stage was very natural. May ganun lang talagang tao kasi, I am like that too so I know how it feels. Yun bang pinipili mo talaga yung iclose mo kasi gusto mo yung 'totoong tao' - yung hindi pagtalikod mo baka saksakin ka. Iwas 'chismis' and stress din kasi, lalo na in that kind of competition na puro kayo girls competing against each other - it helps keep you neutral and focused.

I'd rather be called 'guarded' than 'stuck-up' and 'arrogant' though.

Hindi daw nagustuhan ng ibang girls yung Top Three, kasi hindi daw yung tatlo (especially Phils and Colombia kasi sila yung top two) ang friendliest of the bunch. Errrr... Miss Friendship 2015 ba ito? : D

^Yet yung alam mong tanggap ka rin ng taong yun kaya mo kinakaibigan. What if that person doesn't feel you diba? Para ano pa na magtyaga sa pakikipagkaibigan run.

I hope they should understand na hindi naman porket hindi friendly eh may something different na with that person. Iba iba naman kasi talaga mga personality natin.

Sa pagkakaalam ko pa nga ang most voted yung si Miss USA, siya talaga nangunguna kasi nung live I can see it on caption.

Mukhang marami rin nayayabangan dyan kay Miss Colombia, ako iba rin impression sa kanya. Yung kakilala ko nga sinasabi niya nung napanood niya sa youtube she looks over confident, expecting na mananalo siya saka yung sagot niya parang racist ang dating.

I am wondering lang what if that is other way around. Tingin ko pa nga kahit magiging malungkot si Pia pero she will still congratulate yung winner with class. Tapos yung mga babaeng yan magcheer pa ng Colombia in improper behavior as what they did nung after the pageant. Parang pamumukha pa nila na Pia is a loser.

As for me that Miss Colombia should learn lessons from Pia especially in terms of attitude and accepting defeat. Hindi yung puro beauty lang

Pia is a pageant veteran. She probably has seen or experienced a lot of drama, sabotage, and back-stabbing in these pageants.
As long as she's respectful to other candidates, I don't see anything wrong with being guarded. I say good on her!

Good point sis Vans. Baka nga kaya guarded sya because of her previous experience na din. For as long as she doesn't offend anybody naman, better that way talaga than makisali pa sa drama and back-stabbing stuff.

Tama sis purple_power, hindi porket tahimik at hindi ka kinaibigan, hindi na sya mabuting tao. In fairness naman to Singapore, according sa article she still voted for Philippines kasi nagustuhan nya sagot ni Pia sa Q&A and she mentioned na if she got to know her naman daw siguro magiging friends naman sila kasi mukhang nice naman daw si Pia sa friends and supporters nya.

Same opinion about Colombia, I actually told my husband while we were watching the Live telecast on StarWorld na 'feel na feel na nitong sya mananalo' - that's the impression I was getting of her onscreen. Lalong na-affirm when she showed her attitude after the mistake Harvey made.

I understand rin naman na nakakaiyak rin yung humiliation na akala mo ikaw na eh hindi pala. Sige iyakan niya lang yun. Kung ako rin naman sa lagay niya baka ganun rin naman ang mararamdaman ko, yung tipong nasira ang moment ko. Pero siguro naman dahil nilapitan siya ng winner she should be also matured enough to handle that situation. Siguro naman kahit umiiyak siya she would allow herself na kausapin pa rin siya ni Pia. Kaso mukhang pride talaga nangibabaw sa kanya.

Buti naman naging makatarungan si Miss Singapore sa pagboto niya.

Pia is in History now. ang ganda ng feeling na kauna unahang pagkakamali sa pag announce sa Miss Universe e noong naging Miss Universe ang Philippines.. Para siyang bida sa Pelikula, binugbog muna tapos siya din pala mananalo..Maraming mga positive feedbacks tungkol sa kanya. Watching her and listening to her answer questions during interviews, nakaka-doble ng pagka-proud. After watching her interview sa Bottomline before, I knew she was going to be brilliant sa interviews nya sa US. Talagang nag-iisip bago magsalita eh, very natural. You really know she's got a good head on her shoulders.

^agree 100%. Ang galing nya sumagot, straight to the point at may sense, hindi vague... Nakakatuwa sya lalo. She's representing the country very well. She's very articulate without trying hard. Napakanatural. I'm also liking her accent! Nakakaproud talaga. Even yung question about sharing the crown with Ariadna, she addressed with grace and poise.
