sis KVsWahmmy: Agree. Bakit lahat isinisisi kay Mar? Yes, he's the DILG secretary pero yung distribution ng relief goods, local gov't na ang gumawa. Kung nabulok yung mga goods, it's not Mar's fault. Syempre hindi naman lahat ng under kay Mar belong to liberal party. Yung iba oposisyon.

Doesn't matter. Besides, a leader must be able to lead opposition man or hindi. Blame nanaman ba ang mangyayari?

Quote

Kontrolado ng gov't ang lahat. The Chinese and North Koreans are struggling to get out of their countries pero tayo naman papunta sa communism.

Err. Like halimbawa kapag nag jaywalking papatayin na? As far as I know, mga heinous crimes, repeating criminals at mga uncontrollable drug users ang binigyan ng warning. Duterte was never a dictator. Mabuti at firm nya lang ipinapatupad ang batas which is the basis of democracy. Sa democracy, hindi controlled ng government bagkus regulated which is in the first place dapat naman talaga. Kung hindi regulated ang isang bagay ayon sa batas, lahat kanya kanya na ng panggugulang which is nangyayari ngayon.

^^sis yung local government din po doon eh biktima na rin ng yolanda.if you remember, nothing was spared during that typhoon. local governments were down. you watch lucy's interview if you sincerely want to get a clearer perspective on why people keep blaming the government. at DILG secretary po si mar.

Last time I personally talked to a Mar supporter, huwag daw iasa lahat sa government, sa presidente. Change should start from within each Filipino. Tapos, makakabasa ako dito na huwag iboboto si duterte dahil nagmumura sya, not a good example for the kids lol! Akala ko ba huwag iasa lahat? Eto ang mahirap sa ibang supporters. Hinde lang biased, conflicted pa.

But ok pagbigyan na natin yang example na yan. Incompetency and ignorance should not be tolerated at baka kids nowadays will think that you can always excuse irresponsibility and inactions dahil wala kang alam or hinde mo kaya. If an accountant submits an erroneous report because of an error in judgement and that report leads to a wrong decision, suspension or termination ang katapat. Minsan pa makukulong. Same with doctors and engineers.

anyways, we always see things in different lights. i respect that. kaya nga we choose our leaders thru election, to let the majority decides. hopefully, whoever wins the presidency will sincerely serve the people. hirap na hirap na po ang mga pilipino.

at sana, the filipino people will be enlightened and finally, start making the right choice. it's about time we take a look around us and really see what's happening in our country.

I like Jesse, how simple and humble he was. He had also proven himself and no taint of corruption at all.

Robredo's kapalpakan during the Manila Hostage Crisis in Luneta. Jesse also has questionable Filipino citizenship (Chinese).

Nice read:

"I think overall, he is the overall governance person who will look at things at the policy level, the more technical part of it, but if you have a format such as last night, where individuals coming representing sectors, there is a new mode of speaking to them, and addressing it, not in a generic sense maybe, the person asking requires some level of unity, identifying, emphasizing. I think the word is empathy, empathizing with the person. I think that was a bit lacking in how Secretary Roxas did it,” Co told ANC Monday.

De La Salle Professor Julio Teehankee, meanwhile, said the image of Roxas as the "decent" candidate may not be helping him win votes since it could be seen as elitist.

“The assumption is the poor who are supporting Rodrigo Duterte, or Jejomar Binay or Grace Poe are not decent. It's a loaded concept,” he said.

“To speak of being decent at this time when the poor are suffering is really off.”

^my thoughts exactly. though we all know the 'disente' speech is for the other candidates, even mar's supporters think too high of themselves as if they are the decent voters... they're kind of insulting the majority here.

Maybe you would want to read the link I post coming from the Robredo's personal friend. i think he was the escape goat at that time. As she mentioned could be because Jesse Robredo is going against their flow.

THE END DOES NOT JUSTIFY THE MEANS.

Sis Springblossom: Pamimilosopo naman yung sinabi mo about pagmumura. I think you misunderstood that Mar supporter. Ang ibig nyang sabihin na wag iasa lahat sa gov't is for example yung kakainin mo. Everyone should work hindi yung gusto puro libre na lang. maraming nagpapakahirap magtrabaho tapos ang lagay eh manghihingi ka na lang. That's unfair!

I will still not totally absolve him for that crisis.

As the head of the state... As the head of an agency.. o kahit head of a company or organization, if ever may pagkukulang or pagkakamali ang tauhan mo, I believe kailangan mong sagutin yun. That is being accountable at pagkakaroon ng honor. As a head of an organization, kung mapapansin mo kahit sa corporation, yung CEO nagsosorry kahit sa production line ang may problema. Kasi as a head, you represent and kasama ka sa mga decisions ng company. Yung iba nag resign or worst mag suicide dahil alam nila na accountable sila doon sa kapalpakan kahit hindi sila yung directly na gumawa nun pero the fact na under yun sa organization, they still own it up. That's responsibility and accountability.

Sis, don't twist my word.

Yun tipong dapat sumunod ang mga tao not because yun ang nasa batas but because of fear na papatayin sila.

I said that because in the first place dapat naman talaga sumunod sa batas ang mga tao. I don't know how did you come up na walang due process pero let me tell you. Isn't that better for everyone? Kahit sino walang karapatan pumatay talaga. Pero tell that 1st to the criminals na pumapatay din ng tao. We have law. And kung ang law natin ay ma involve ang death penalty, then so be it.

Regarding his classmate naman.. we don't know the whole story. Baka nga gawa gawa or exaggerated nya lang yun. Hindi rin kumpleto ang kwento. I would rather not say anything about that.

Another quote from the article i posted earlier na super agree din ako:

“I think the enemy of the administration candidate is not so much the ability to deliver per se because as Secretary Roxas was saying, 'This is what we did and I can prove you, I have evidence to say that.' However, the greatest enemy is the expectation of people. Like: 'Alright, you're expected to deliver 90 percent but come on, I saw only 50 percent or 40 percent.' And that’s where the gap and the failure comes in," she said.

Teehankee believes today's electorate is not demanding continuity, which Roxas has been emphasizing in his campaign, but change.

@sis Vans: yes,I agree with you. Never kami umasa or nanisi sa gov't.

@sisdismembered: Yes, nagsosorry ang CEO or any head ng organization pero dba ang pinapaalam muna nila dun sa concerned na subordinate yung mishandling or any irregularities na nangyari at syempre nag-sosorry din si subordinate. Pero bakit si Duterte ayaw nya rin magsorry sa Aussie and US ambassador about the rape issue?

I didn't twist yung sinabi mo.

Don't forget that the Philippines is a Catholic country.

About his fellow San Beda student, sa bibig na mismo nya nanggaling kung anong ginawa nya.

i am sorry if you found my post na "pamimilosopo." not my intention, honest. at namimilosopo ba ako? ano ba mas mabigat, pagmumura or negligence of duty or yung hinde mo nagawa trabaho mo kasi hinde mo alam? and maybe, yun nga ang ibig nyang sabihin na wag iasa sa gobyerno ang kakainin. so now you're saying, pagmumura is not really that big deal, right?

im not being unreasonable. i just chose not to reiterate the reasons why  i am not pro-mar kasi kahit ako nabibingi na sarili ko sa kakaulit ng arguments lol. because if someone is really open to other possiblities, punta lang sya sa ibang threads.

by the way, sis, LP or pinoy's administration thrives in dole-outs (4Ps) so in a way, encouraging the people to just ask and not work. which has its advantages and disadvantages.

You are redirecting the point. Duterte sent his apology on general pero hindi sa "fact na nasabi nya yung ginawa nya during that time". Nagkalat yung video.

Kaya gaya nga ng sabi ni Duterte, if you are afraid to die, and hesitant to get your hands dirty, hindi ka pwede maging president.

Sabi nya lang yun. Ikinuwento nya ba ang buong nangyari? Unless alam natin at andun tayo, then I can't say anything so do you.

sis springblossom: Apology accepted. Sorry din if I mis-interpreted na namimilosopo ka. But why did you compare jaywalking to drug addiction?
jaywalking dba?  ;)  wala rin akong sinasabi na ang pagmumura is not a big deal.

Actually, 4Ps is Arroyo's project. This is from DSWD's website:

"Q: How will you defend CCT against its critics that it encourages dependency?

Since the program was launched in 2008, the DSWD is confident that the Pantawid Pamilya will not foster mendicancy. The grant provided with each household only covers roughly 18% of the household’s need. This means that the cash grant which is a maximum of P1,400.00 per household is not enough to cover all the expenses of the family."

http://www.gov.ph/2013/10/31/faqs-on-the-conditional-cash-transfer/

I joined this thread because I'm a pro-Roxas and just like other threads here in GT, I thought na magaganda ang mababasa ko, ayun pala kabaligtaran  :( And FYI, before I respond, nagbaback read ako.

No to MAR din kami.

He's been in the position for how many years, bakit di nya ginawa dati ang mga pinapangako na naman nya ngayon.
See how he respond to crisis? See how pikon he easily gets with Duterte? Haha!

sis dismembered:

I'm not redirecting the point. I agreed na yung mga CEO's or any member of the management of a firm should apologise too BUT the apology should come first from the person who is directly involved. Then si management, mag-aapologize in behalf of the person and their company. Kung sinungaling siemployee,mahaba-habapang proseso pa. Syempre imbestigahan muna. And about Duterte, dapat talaga magsorry sya sa mga ambassadors.

Yun tipong dapat sumunod ang mga tao not because yun ang nasa batas but out of fear na papatayin sila. From a democratic gov't baka maging communist ang Pilipinas just like China and North Korea. Kontrolado ng gov't ang lahat. The Chinese and North Koreans are struggling to get out of their countries pero tayo naman papunta sa communism. Anong misleading or misinfo dyan? That's how I perceive his leadership style based na rin sa mga binibitawan nyang salita.

I only brought up religion kasi I'm a Catholic at yun ang turo sa mga Katoliko - "Thou shall not kill". Yes, that's true. Hindi lahat ng Catholic ay nagprapractice ng pagiging proper Catholic and I'm sure with other religions too. No one is perfectika nga. Ano bang ibig sabihin ni Duterte na "if you are afraid to die, and hesitant to get your hands dirty, hindi ka pwede maging president"? Yung "if you are afraid to die, hindi ka pwede maging president" totoo yon. But "hesitant to get your hands dirty" What does he mean?
