@itsKat!
husband was already baptized Christian and ako hindi pa, so I'm still a Roman Catholic prior to our wedding.

Kaya yan sis, but consider your guests din. Catholic wedding is 1 hour while Christian wedding is 1.5 hours. Also consider yung proximity ng churches to the venue. Thinking pa lang na magiging guest or sponsor ako sa 2.5 hours event is very exhausting.

You may also want to consider na mauna ng 1 day yung Christian or Catholic wedding with your close friends and family. Our initial plan naman was to have Christian wedding talaga based sa anniversary namin with all the preps, catering, music, etc. Then yung Catholic wedding as requested naman ng parents namin is kung kailan na lang magkaroon ng mass wedding sa place namin and small gathering na lang.

Thanks for the reply sis meixin and twinxz.

Actually we have churches in mind na, my worry is the sentiments stated by twinxz like the time frame, the sponsors, the guests.

but thank u for the helpful insights! I will consider that :D

Just an update for those who helped me out here!

We are now booked at Central United Methodist Church :) No more double ceremony (one Christian and one Catholic) but instead we will have an ecumenical ceremony/wedding wherein we will have a pastor and a priest during our wedding!

I'm happy that everything is okay now! Just need to do more planning on how the ceremony will go!

Thank you!

Hi! I'm already booked with Hanging Gardens at Fairview QC for our Christian wedding. But I have a current issue now. Hati yung desisyon ko about the ceremony hall.. feeling ko masyado siyang maliit. Nasa 100pax capacity lang and very low ceiling. But I really love the garden reception area. I would love to hold the ceremony also there if only hindi dadaan sa stairs pababa yung bride for the grand entrance. I'm not yet fully convinced :(

So I just want to ask if anybody knows an indoor garden venue or events place to hold our ceremony near Fairview? Do you think it's too impractical or unusual to have a Christian wedding with different ceremony and reception venue??

^hi sis! magkaiba ceremony and reception namin sa garden wedding namin last December 2015. But never booked them kasi may nakita kami na mas mura, less restrictions/corkages, more time for the venue but its in Antipolo.

Anyway, if you are looking for garden venues in Fairview, you can check Blue Gardens, Fernwood, Grand Terrace. HAHA!

^^not impractical or unusual at all. i initially considered the hanging gardens for our wedding but upon learning about the seating capacity of the ceremony hall, we trashed the idea since we are planning to have around 250 guests that time. definitely 100 pax won't suffice. we had our ceremony at the church of the risen lord inside up diliman instead and reception at the glass garden and it was quiet a good decision.

Thanks for the inputs sis twinxz and belle_v2g :) Although sa Fernwood exclusive yung chapel nila for Fernwood reception only. Maybe I'll try other garden venues. Anyway, I still have 11 months to prepare pero nakaka-pressure na :o Thank you! ;D

^ hi shyreen! sorry for the late response, ngayon ko lang nakita. hehe

Anyway, ang sabi samin is allowed daw yun, provided we write a letter to the archbishop of manila asking permission for the priest to have an ecumenical ceremony in our church.

They allow it daw kasi ang bawal lang naman daw is outside a church.

I hope it will work :)

Hi Mga SiS!

I'm a newbie in this group and i wanna share my situation, sana po matulungan niyo ako  :(

I'm engaged na with my bf and we're planning the wedding next year in Antipolo (Wedding and Ceremony in one place). I always dreaming of a beach or garden wedding at least. Pero since medyo tight sa budget, eh oks na ako sa Garden Wedding and nagkasundo na kame ng H2B ko.

The problem is, i'm a catholic and he's not (So hard to explain his religion. Neverheard.).

1.) Pwede ba yung makasal ng pastor if catholic ako and siya hindi? (Ayaw niya magpaconvert to any religion)
2.) Complete pa rin ba yung christian wedding (with secondary sponsors such cord adn veil, bible, coins, etc.) sa pastor?
3.) May kakilala po ba kayo na pastor na nagkakasal kahit di nila kareligion and no need magpaconvert? And open siya sa discussion if ano yung pwede hindi na isama?
4.) And inaalala po kasi namin is what if may pagawa sa mga parents niya na religious stuffs pero hindi puwede sa kanila?

Sana po matulungan niyo ako mga sis.  :(

1.)Sa natanong ko sa victory, gusto nila member of their congregation bago ka nila ikakasal. Then sa pinagdecide-an namin na Christian na parish(episcopalian), they will accept din if Catholic pero you have to have endorsement from your church and kelangan dito sa parish lang yung wedding di pwede sa garden.. I guess what I'm saying is you really have to ask because iba iba din ang process sa bawat group of Christians.

3 and 4 sorry I don't know..

Hi Meixin
