^ sis mikky! i told you.. ;) yung una lang ang issubmit sa local civil registrar kung sang municipality kayo kinasal. :)

parang renewal of vows lang mangyayari nyan parang kay sis na 10 times ang wedding. kung 2 magiging record nyo sa nso.. baka dumating pa yung time na kailangan nyo ipaannul yung isa. hehe. alam ko di talaga pwede 2 record sa nso. kahit same person lang pinakasalan mo.

Sis mikky21, no need to apply for another licence. :) tama parang renewal ang nangyare pero sa invitation nilagay namin is reaffirmation of marriage vows under Christian ceremony.  :)

Sis querubin, same here ex-INC din ako because my ex-fiance was a member of the church. Now, I'm engaged to a Christian. We're planning to have a Christian wedding on Jan 2017.

@mikky21 - tama si sis stylus :) isa lang yung ifafile sa NSO.  We got married in a civil union last June dito sa LA, which we will file sa NSO. When we get married next year dyan sa Pinas we will no longer apply for a marriage license kasi we are already married and ipoprovide na lang namin yung Marriage certificate namin na provided ng NSO, and other pertinent records required.   Our church will provide a marriage certificate kung saan pipirma pa din yung mga ninangs and ninongs pero it will no longer be filed sa NSO.

Hi, I'm fairly new to the topic. Sorry if this has been asked na in the past but have questions that I'm sure you girls can answer. :)

I'm Catholic and my fiancé is protestant Christian. We're both devout but I said yes to a Christian wedding since my dream is an outdoor wedding. Ang babaw but sa totoo lang mas important sakin is presence ni God and we believe in one God and that is Jesus. Although my family is not quite happy about our the choice of a Christian ceremony I am still firm in my decision that I won't convert.

Now my question is:
What are the requirements for a Christian Wedding? Like documents? For a Non-protestant or they say Mixed religion?

And also, were there requirements your church needs for you to do? Like kay Fiance nasa CCF siya kailangan yata mag bible study weekly. Iba iba ba yun?

Thanks in advance, Girls! :)

In my experience they required us to go through marriage keepers classes. It's like a marriage couseling class. Then I know kakausapin pa kami dapat ni pastor, pero matagal pa naman kasi siguro yung wedding namin kaya hindi pa kami tinatawag. And parang nasabi before na if hindi church member they would need endorsement letter from your church din. Hope this helps  :)

Hi Bavariane,

It depends on your church. For instance, requirements can be different in Victory, CCF, etc. Though I think most will require that at least one of you is a member (For instance has a dgroup or small group in your church).

Aside from this, (in our case) we were required to have a Pre-Marital Assessment with a pastor before we attended 3 sessions of Marriage Preparation Seminar.

In your case, you can ask CCF and I'm sure they will gladly assist you with regards to the requirements.

After all, this is not about religion. Having a personal relationship with Jesus is what's most important.

Hope this helps  :)

Thank you, meixin and jrevelry!  :-*

Marriage counseling and seminars din pala. Same as a catholic wedding requirement.

May I know which church you guys attend to? :)

I attend at St. Stephen's Parish in binondo, episcopalian church siya. Used to attend Victory Malate. Magkaiba lang sila ng style pero pareho namang Christian. Then sa naattendan ko na wedding, mga 1.5hours siya  :)

It really depends on your officiating pastor and you as a couple :) Some Christian ceremonies include a portion where the couple gives their life testimony. Then there's a part where you honor your parents. Meron din personal vows. So depending on your church's guidelines, the ceremony could go from 1 hour to 2 hours. Personally I think 1 hour max lang dapat :)

Hi sis! sa mga husband and wife dyan na magkaiba ang religion. How did you do it?

Kaya ba talaga yung 2 weddings a day? one at a catholic church and one at a christian church?

I am starting the planning of our wedding and that is our biggest dilemma.
I am considering the guests, lahat sila invited sa both weddings and yung time frame ng weddings for that day!

Thanks in advance!

^ I think kaya naman sis. I've asked my coordinator before kasi I saw she had 2 gigs that day so I thought she got 2 clients eh she told us they only cater to 1 wedding a day. But she told me na they had a church wedding first then a christian wedding after. And they had done it numerous times. Ang downside lang naman dyan sis, shempre nakakapagod both sa guests and sa couple. And shempre matagal. But if your guests came there for you instead of just for the free food, I'm sure they can tolerate a whole day with you guys :)  Keep the food and refreshments coming. Make sure everyone has got transport and get ready to party. :D good luck sis.

thank you sis Missus O!

Sana makahanap din ako ng coordinator who has done it before para medyo makampante ako.

Plan kasi namin is parehong church wedding. Usually kasi, christian wedding is a garden wedding or sa venue na. Pero ayoko kasi ng hindi sa church..

And, concern ko din ang ninongs and ninangs, pwede bang both weddings sila or do I need to get separate pa?

Thanks!

Merong mga Christian churches din, pero I guess depende kung saan kayo member. Like Holy Trinity Church in forbes park, or St. Stephen's Parish and United Evangelical Church of the Philippines in Binondo :) Maybe you could inquire there din, para satisfied na both sides (Christian ceremony pero sa church pa din gagawin di sa garden :) ) Alam ko Holy Trinity would need endorsement letter from your church, then kayo na din magpprovide ng pastor nyo to conduct the ceremony there:)
