Wala kasi kaming nursing room or clinic.

Ganun din ba kayo mommies? or dapat mas madami pa dun ang feedings naming in a day and more than 10 ounces dapat nadedede sya at night, thanks! nag start na rin kami mag solids kaya lang ayaw nya madalas hilig nya mag resist, once or twice lang sya mag eat potatoes or vegetables madalas hindi pa kami nag meat

^Iba kasi ang gatas ng ina kahit konti lang yan iba ang nutrients na nakukuha ng bata for me lang as long as hindi sakitin ang baby ko at hindi malnourish at walang advise ng pedia ok lang sa akin kahit hindi mataba si baby.

Hi sis, same with my daughter, she's 10 months now pero from 6-8 months naglose sya ng 600 grams. Very petite din sya, lowest weight nya was at 8 months 7.4kgs lang sya. My pedia is not a BF advocate so concern ko din na ipagformula nya kami since nga naglose sya ng weight pero buti na lang di nya inadvise ang fm. She told me to continue breastfeeding (direct latch kami so I wouldn't know exactly how much ang nakoconsume nya) and damihan na lan ang pag offer ng solids. Same with you hindi rin gaanong kalakas kumain ng solids baby ko before. Pero eventually natutunan din nya, basta offer lang ako ng offer ng fruits, veggies and now malakas na sya mag rice and kumakain na din ng chicken and beef (as long as walang salt; natural herbs and spices lang gamit ko for her food). She has gained naman na kahit papano, 8.4kgs na sya ngayon. She's still very petite pero super active na kasi sya. Agree also with sis shadow, malikot na kasi kaya babagal talaga ang paggain ng weight. Tsaka sabi ng pedia as long as within normal limits ang height and weight also head circumference no need to worry. So wag ka masyado magworry, trust your breastmilk kasi if kulang man sa kanya yung 10oz na naiiwan mo, i'm sure bumabawi sya pag direct latch na kayo para makuha nya yung need nya talaga.

That amount is enough regardless of baby's age. So if you are gone for about 10 hrs, the 10 oz that you pump when at work should be enough.

Also, how does your baby take your pumped milk? Nakabote ba? BFP recommends/advocates cupfeeding to avoid nipple confusion and shallow latch (na eventually magiging cause ng paghina ng milk supply). Follow the 1-1.5oz/hr rule.

Ayun 4th day namin sa hospital at for discharge na. Di sya nadischarge at inobserve sya for 24 hours.

sis cheniwin, and all moms here in GT na problem ang weight ni baby nila na AT LEAST 6 MONTHS OLD NA,  per advice from BFP counselors, di na nag-aapply yung "1-1.5 oz per hour rule" for babies who have passed the 6-month-exlusive breastfeeding period. Since pwede na sila mag-solids, complementary source of nutrients and calories na lang ang breast milk. Dapat na unti unti mag focus sa right nutrition though healthy and natural food.

during daytime while i am at work, she takes my milk through Pigeon bottles and she consumes mga 5-7 oz na lang. when i return home from work, unlilatch na pati all through the night. so hinahabol nya rin milk consumption nya when we are together. that is called REVERSE CYCLING. :)

so wag na mag worry mga mommies with babies who are already starting to eat solid food.:)

From what I've gathered sa BFP, breastmilk is still the main source of nutrition for baby's first year. It is after the first year that the baby should get most of the nutrition from solids.

Quoting from the BFP informative posters:

"Nurse first!

Until baby is a year old, breastmilk should be the primary source of her nutrition.  Even after you've begun to introduce solids, nurse baby before each meal. This will ensure mama's milk will remain plentiful, and that solids are not replacing vital calories, fats and nutrients found in mama's milk."

Any advice how to deal with it and how to nurse yung teeth-ing baby.

^ BF momma here to a 10 month old baby, so far meron siyang 6 na teeth. And kasama ata sa pag papa breastfeed ang pangangagat nila. Napap sigaw pa nga ako pag kinakagat niya ako. Anyway sis, try mo siya i-discipline. You can talk to her/ him na bad yun and hindi mo na siya padedehin hehe. Hang on momma.

Mga sis! Yung babies niyo ba may sound pag naglatch sainyo? Ang hirap iexplain nung sound hindi kasi squeaking or clicking.  Yung tunog niya is parang similar sa pag hinihika.

Hi mommies. Planning and praying hard to breast feed my first baby (20 weeks preggy now).

^congrats on your pregnancy sis :) Nung pregnant ako, i wasn't really pushing on breastfeeding, sabi ko if may milk then good but if wala okay lang. Siguro partly I was so scared of all the bf horror stories na nabasa ko nung buntis pa ako, how painful it is, how other babies get dehydrated, etc etc. Nung nanganak ako and tried to breastfeed, feeling ko talaga walang lumalabas. Buti na lang the nurses educated me na it's normal na kahit feeling ko walang lumalabas, doesn't mean na wala talaga. They encouraged me to breastfeed as much as possible para mastimulate agad ang milk production. I guess I got lucky kasi the day after giving birth umaapaw na ang milk ko. My daughter is almost 13 months and we're still exclusively breastfeeding.

Anyway, eto tips ko --- 1) trust your body. Maaamaze ka na lang how magical your body is. From pregnancy to nourishing your child. Our bodies are made for that purpose, so inisip ko talaga na God knows what my body can do so I just have to trust that. 2) if umiiyak si baby and hindi tumatahan even after breastfeeding, sometimes they just need skin-to-skin contact. That's what i did, pag umiiyak at di mapatahan we just do skin to skin, it normally calms her down. 3) Eat healthy (and take supplements as needed). Di ko alam if the supplement i took actually helped but I guess it encouraged me to breastfeed more siguro psychological na dadami yun milk ko so kelangan makuha yun ni baby. 4) Breastfeed as often as possible, sometimes kahit hindi pa umiiyak si baby I offer my breast na. Yan ang sure way to really boost your supply. If you decide to give formula, don't rely on it heavily. Supplement lang sya. You still have to breastfeed as much as you can. First week ni baby they can't even finish a 2-oz bottle. So if magformula ka don't give that much at once. Breastfeed first, then if baby doesn't settle, try supplementing with a little amount. 5) Have enough rest. Mahirap ito and when they say you have to sleep when baby sleeps, usually di mo magagawa yan kasi when baby's sleeping, that's the time na pwede ka maligo, kumain, etc. But try to rest as much as possible to help your body recover and keep you refreshed.

Good luck on your pregnancy and sana maging successful din ang breastfeeding journey mo.

thanks so much sa advice sis! :) Big help! Hopefully through your tips and prayers na din maging succesful din ako.
