Thanks sa info about cup feeding vs bottle feeding your expressed milk. Kasi sa hospital kung san ako manganganak, breastfeeding advocate sila and as much as possible ayaw nila na mag introduce na artificial nipple. Kaya recommended nila is cup feeding talaga if hindi possible na direct latch.

hello mga sis, anyone here who is pregnant and still breastfeeding their older child? medyo nahihirapan na kasi ako, super likot ni kuya while breastfeeding kaya i want to wean him sana. problem is he's become so attached to me, he cant sleep without latching. any tips mommies? thanks :)

Ako.

As part of my preparation for my breastfeeding journey for my second child, I already got myself a nipple cream. I read here somewhere that it's good to apply the cream as early as 29 weeks aog. I shopped for breastfeeding bras and tops as well.  3 nursing bras should be enough? Or do i need some more?

Joining..

Been direct breastfeeding for almost 3 weeks. I dont see any problem with my milk supply. However, my baby feeds for more than 3 hours.  Parang ginagawa niyang pang patulog/comfort. Baby wakes up pag tinatanggal ko na. Anyone here have the same experience? I am not sure na tuloy if not enough pa yung milk ko or talagang pangpatulog niya lang.
Not happy anymore na naka side lying position for hours and nakatulog na ako at lahat, gising pa si baby and still feeding. With my 1st born, wala naman ako naging problem sa pag breastfeed. Now lang sa 2nd baby, parang exaggerated na yung time na nakalatch sya.

She's 15 months and i think she's teething. Nagulat ako and napasigaw sa sakit. Ayun umiyak siya and ayaw na maglatch. I-take niya lang pag yaya or daddy niya ang magbibigay. Naging phase na niya to before mga around 8 or 9 months siya, ayaw maglatch sa kin pero at least pag binigyan ko siya sa bottle eh iinumin niya. Haay.. I hope phase lang din to. Any advise on what i can do? :(

^hmm parang as far as I know ok lang naman to do side lying as early as possible. I started breastfeeding my baby side lying position as soon as I could turn on my side after my CS. Wala naman kaming naging problem. In fact it's my favorite way of bfeeding her kasi madali kami makatulog after especially at night. She's just 10 weeks now.

^ Wouldn't that be a problem since lo will need to be burped parin?  Sometimes my lo gets fussy and I would think its the diaper only to find out that he needs to be burped pala.

I have been uber busy with work I'm not making substantial milk unlike before. Hoping to turn things around because I started having extra again.  Given the chance I would pump until 6 months and rest na.

Buy more, IMO. Lalo if you're like me na hindi sanay na hindi naka-bra, kahit sa bahay. I bought yung mga cheaper ones na maninipis, for use sa house. Then the expensive nice and padded ones for going out. Also, lalo in the first weeks, you might leak a lot kaya palit din ng palit ng bra, kahit may breast pads.

^^nicolette, not really kasi I don't really burp her at night. Hehe. She almost always falls asleep after she bfeeds kaya hinayaan ko nalang. In the rare moments na gising sya, I burp her but not even all the time. Pero sabi nila pag breastfed and tama yung latch, no need to burp. Mas kelangan ng burp kapag bote. So far so good for us.

First time mom here. Mga mommies, how long do you usually breastfeed your baby nung newborn pa siya, mga 1 week pa lang and how often?

^ ganyan din kami when my baby was still a newborn until siguro mga 1-2 months old siya. Halos 1 hour dumedede tas pahinga lang konti then dede uli. It's a way kasi to signal to your body to produce more milk. Don't take it as a sign na kulang milk mo. Kami we were able to ebf til he's 1.5 years old :)

@ Cess Sarah - ako nung new born sya until now na 6 months sya, on demand.

does anyone here na nagmamanual pump pero good yung output I mean maraming nakukuha? ako kasi until now 2 oz pa rin I use manual pump, iniisip ko tuloy bumili ng electronic pump para mabilis makaipon tapos inaabot ako ng 1 hr. for 2oz :(

nung una manual ang gamit ko, mas matagal talaga yun compared sa electric. pero di naman ako umabot ng 1hr, mga 20 mins per boob siguro , i get 2-3 oz. I think may nagmention na rin dito before na masama rin yung sobrang tagal nagpu-pump.

^ ideally, not earlier than six weeks post-partum. At that time, usually nagsa-stabilize na ang supply. Sometimes kasi, too early pumping could lead to over-supply that could turn to mastitis.

^manual ba gamit mo?

Pls dont beat yourself up over pump output, usually 1-2oz ang common output especially if manual pump gamit. It's also not indicative of your supply, cause your baby is the best at emptying the breast.
