hi mga sis!

asking for your advise. been working on that company for more than 3 years. so lately may realignment na nangyari. i know i did my best at the field, project i was assigned to. so nasama ako sa mga napromote. i think mass promotion ang nangyare. but my problem is walang galaw sa basic pay ko. as in remains the same but dagdag ang workload dahil promoted nga. i know a few on my colleagues na mababa pa yung rank saken but over ang tinaas ng basic pay. imagine 1k lang nilamang ko. wth. i asked the HR personnel what went wrong? know what she told me? malaki na nga yang pay mo eh. NO. i am asking for fair pay here. i am doing most of the work on our team but you gave them most of the increase. she also told me na wala daw sa tagal yan. ay ganon? pero sa floor kung sino mas matagal will get the most workload dahil dahilan nga nila mas madami kana experience lessen pa ang time na kakainin dahil hindi na kailangan itrain ang mga bago.

im so frustrated. planning to search for another work then resign. please enlighten me. thanks!

^Sorry to hear that Sis.  Ask ko lang, not so sure kase how things work sa pinas, kase here kapag promotion and pay increase ang dapat kausapin is your line manager, HR is basically there to process the paper works, as long as pasok sa budget ng department.

if salary walang galaw, musta naman benefits mo? may nagbago ba?

It's true na nakakainis yang ganyan, yung subordinates kaunti lang ang lamang mo sa kanila in terms of salary.  But always look at the bright side -- experience in your new position, training opportunities, new contacts, etc.

If I were you, stay muna ako sa present job ko for at least 6months-1year.  Para mas mamaximize ko yung matutunan dito sa bagong position ko. I can opt to look for another job, but then I would need to adjust there, whereas dito sa current work ko gamay ko na ang trabaho.  Saka maganda rin sa resume yung at least medyo matagal na ako sa current position ko , plus if hahanap ako ng work pwede na ako mag-apply sa mas mataas na position.  But this is just me :)

ayun na nga sis ang concern ko. nawalan kame ng clothing allowance, medical at doctors. nawalan na rin ng sl conversion.

so sa side ko wala na ngang galaw yung basic pay ko tinanggal nyo pa yung mga ibang benefits namin. edi parang ang ginawa lang nila is binawasab nila yung pondo para saken tapos binigay sa iba.

tapos ang allowance pa taxable. duuh ano na lang? thank you?

ang trainings pa dito wala rin. ok lang sana kung nagpaptrain sila kaso kada new workload ikaw mag aaral ikaw pa magtuturo.

^if I were you, I would resign. But hey that's just me. Kaya nga nagsarili na ako kasi I can't stand mga issues sa corporate world. Sino nagpromote sayo? Definitely boss nyo naman diba.. Try mo kausapin. Sabihin mo lahat ng hinaing mo. Unfair talaga yun dagdag workload pero nabawasan pa benefits and walang additional pay? Baka he can do something about it. If not, it's your call kung gusto mo pa magstay.

Pero teka sis, how long have you been in the industry na? Are you still looking for experience? Kasi kung matagal ka na naman nagwwork, I don't think experience pa ang habol mo.

Share ko lang experience ko with my previous employer. 

I started with them ng September 2011.  Hindi ko man nakuha yung talagang hiningi kong presyo, I signed with them because I got tired of being on night shift sa employer ko preceding them. 

My position is highly technical.  Bale, Associate Systems Engineer to be exact.  So kunwari I was asking for 50k basic, I was given around 34k.  Kinagat ko pa rin yun.  Sumunod na taon, wala akong increase.  Pagdating ng 2013, ang annual increase ko was just 1.5k ata.  Then October 2013, pumasa ako sa interview for promotion.  Mula November 2013 hanggang May 2014, nagtrabaho ako with additional workload (for the more senior role) pero hindi ako binabayaran.  Saklap!  Bumaba ang promotion papers ko ng May 2014 and June 2014 binigay yung kesyo pro-rated na increase.  Aba! November pa lang nagtrabaho na ako sa senior role pero ang binigay na prorate eh from May 2014 lang!  Tapos promotion yan ha, pero 5k lang naging increase ko :(

Tiniis ko yan.  Kasi binigyan ako ng trainings, certifications, etc. 

Come April 2015, nakakuha ako ng offer sa labas na double sa nakukuha ko.  At andito nga ako ngayon since July pa.  Sige, ipagpasaDiyos ko na lang yung panggigipit nila sa pagbabayad sa akin. 

Malaman-laman ko recently, sa di inaasahang pagkakataon, ang isang kasabayan kong pumasok na hindi naman technical (something that can be done by any degree holder) eh magkalapit na magkalapit lang kami ng sweldo.  Nung pumasok kami, magkalayo, as in ramdam ang pagiging clerical ng job niya.  Pero I felt so betrayed sa management na naging loyal ako for four years.  Nakakainis lang.  Sabi na lang ng hubby ko, at least nagpay off na pagtitiis ko at nasa better paying job na ako. 

Pero TS, yung pagtatanggal ng allowances mo ang tawag jan is diminuition of benefits.  Mali yan.

Nasa sayo yan kung titiisin mo yan, like me, then use the position as leverage para makakuha ng better pay sa labas ng company.  Minsan, magaling talaga si Lord - mas magaling siya kaysa sa mga HR at sa mga boss na hinohocus focus ang mga staff na di nila feel.

Haha I feel you sis. Iba talaga ang favoritism sa corporate world. Before ako magsarili, technical din ako sa isang real estate developer. Tapos nagulat kami one day na may biglang pinasok as higher up namin na hindi man lang technical. So definitely mas malaki sweldo nya pero wala syang alam. Tanong ng tanong. Nakakainis lang. Haay.

sana aside from realignment sa position, nagkaron din sana ng benchmark para marealign ang mga sweldo. pointless na magstay pa. pagod ka na, feeling lugi ka pa.

3 years is enough. time to look for a better company. :)

So affected din pala ang benefits! Wow! Pwede pala yun??
Alam ko pwede lang yan under certain circumstances i.e. during financial crisis (that happened sa previous company ko where the managers and up were not given the annual bonus, and some allowances ay bumaba pero hindi tinanggal)

Anyways, ako kase mahalaga sa kin ang benefits lalo na ang medical benefits, although di naman ako sakitin, kaso malaking tulong yan. Mahal pa naman magkasakit! Kaya kong tiisin ang walang increase basta benefits ko wag galawin.  Alam mo na siguro ang gagawin ko if I were in your shoes... I pray that God will help you in your decision Sis.

I'd agree maybe you could take it as a wake up call? you've been working for them for a long time maybe a better company needs your dedicated services na.
