From SSS:

All currently employed, currently contributing self-employed or voluntary member.
* For a one-month loan, the member-borrower must have thirty six (36) posted monthly contributions, six (6) of which should be within the last twelve (12) months prior to the month of filing of application.
* For a two-month loan, the member-borrower must have seventy two (72) posted monthly contributions, six (6) of which should be within the last twelve (12) months prior to the month of filing of application.

In your case sis need mo mameet yung 'six (6) of which should be within the last twelve (12) months prior to the month of filing of application.'
You can inquire sa SSS if nagvoluntary ka tapos kung pwede mo pa ba mabayaran yun?

meron kasi deadline of contributions
(https://www.sss.gov.ph/sss/appmanager/pages.jsp?page=scheduleofcontribution)

"For Self-employed and Voluntary members
If you are a self-employed or a voluntary member, the prescribed schedule of payment is also being followed, (depending on the 10th (last digit) of the SE/VM SS number). However, the frequency of contribution payments for self-employed or a voluntary member can be on a monthly or quarterly basis. A quarter covers three (3) consecutive calendar months ending on the last day of March, June, September and December. Any payment for one, two or all months for a calendar quarter may be made."

pwede mo clarifiy sa kanila yan.

And also I think you can also check your loan eligibility via your personal sss online account, kung gusto mo na talaga agad malaman.

^hi sis! Share ko lang experience ko. Nag 1st salary loan ako Q4 of 2013 ng 12K then nakapag bayad ako 2 months lang JAN-FEB 2014, after that I stopped paying kasi nag abroad ako. Yung main na supposedly 10K++ nalang, inapply ko for loan re-constructuring program this month lang para mabayaran ko na.

Yung main na 10K+ as of FEB 2014, naging almost 17K+. Ang interest lang nya for 3 yrs is nasa 2K+ lang, then yung penalty kasi nga overdue na is umabot ng 3K+ so total of almost 17K. Pero now binayaran ko na because of their program. 13,222 nalang binayaran ko.

Regarding sa question mo, siguro magkaka interest pero maliit lang sis. Kasi yung sakin 3 years pero 2K+ lang yung interest then yung penalty 3K+ lang din. I mean hindi sobrang laki talaga. Hope this helps! :)

Hello eveyrone. I am planning to avail an SSS salary loan. So I already registered online and there it says na my maximum loanable amount is P32,000. So I generated an amortization table for it payable in 24 months and the monthly amortization is P1,475. I am planning to use the proceeds of P31,680 (net of 1% service fee) to pay for the initial premium (2 years) of my VUL insurance policy.

Any thoughts if this is a good use of the salary loan. Sabi kasi mga nakakausap ko better na gamitin ko ito kasi baka mamaya may gumagamit na iba and yun nga ito naisip ko puwede pambayad sa kukunin ko insurance policy. I computed the interest and it averages P150 per month of the 2 years term ng loan.

Okay ba yung plan ko or its not worth it (due to the interest)? TIA!

^hi sis! Nag-aaral kasi ako ngayon regarding investing. I am reading E-books and watching Youtube videos. Yung question mo is mostly na e-encounter ko sa mga pinapanood or binabasa ko. And according sa mga Financial Advisers, much better daw sis if ang pera na gagamitin natin for investments ay hindi galing sa loans / utang. Para if any case, something happened to your insurance (knock on wood), hindi ka malulugi sa interest because of your loan. Like example, bumaba ang market, so hindi kikita yung pera mo na nilagay mo, minsan malulugi kapa, and at the same time mag babayad kapa ng interest ng loan mo so it will double.

Hope this helps sis! :)

^^ Agree din ako kay sis @ANJFinally

Mas ok mag-invest ng pera na hindi inutang. Kase may investment ka nga akso may debt pa rin. It's better na mag-save ka na lang then invest it. It will take some time but at least, wala kang liabilities.  ;)

Parang mas gusto ko pang may loan palage kaysa may fear na baka may iba gumamit.
UMID ko kasi palagi gamit ko as valid ID. Wag naman sana magka fraudulent activity.

Mga sis na married! Kaka-kasal ko lang last December, and wala pa akong pinapalitan sa mga IDs ko. OFW din pala kami. I asked here sa Phil consulate kung pwede ako mag pa change status, pero sabi need ko muna palitan ang passport ko which is kakarenew ko lang din last year JUNE.

I just want to know, if ever i get pregnant makakakuha parin ba ako ng benefit pagka panganak if naka single name parin ang nasa ID ko? Sorry feeling ko ang non-sense ng tanong ko mga sis!  ???

^Depende sa company policy sis. Pero siguro as long as may marriage certificate kahit hindi pa updated mga IDs puwede naman.  :)

To be able to claim Maternity Benefit, you must pass MAT-1, to pass MAT-1, dapat MARRIED status ka na sa SSS, now kung nirerequire ka ng SSS dyan na need ng updated passport then you must start sa passport.

PS: that annoying error message again, katamad

^hi sis! Thank you for enlightening me. Actually, ang sinabi lang sakin ng taga SSS dito sa Dubai na before ako mag change status sa SSS, make sure daw na meron akong supporting docs na naka change status narin just incase we need to acquire something from them, hindi kami mahirapan. So struggle sakin mag change ng passport kasi kaka renew ko lang JUNE 2016 then double passport na ako kasi nasa old passport ko yung visa ko. Medyo ot, pero any idea na kapag nagpa update ako, babaguhin nanaman as in bago ulit? If yes, mag tatatlong patong na yung passport ko. lol  ;D

^ang alam ko sis hindi, if check ang ibibigay sayo you can encash it. Some naman prefer to have theirs directly deposited sa personal savings account nila. Pag ganun may separate form ka na kelangan aside from mat2.

Hello mga sis! OFW kasi kami mag asawa, and TTC kami now. May insurance kasi ako sagot ng company, and according sa insurance covered daw ako pati panganganak, 10% of the total expense lang ang sasagutin ko if ever. So we're thinking baka mas okay if dito nalang manganak.

Re maternity benefit sa SSS, possible bang maka avail neto if overseas ka manganganak? Thank you!
