Senior High School (SHS) Program

What are the schools you know of that have applications for the senior high school program?

I heard that Ateneo High School, La Salle GH and even DLSU Taft has opened their doors to this.
I'd be happy to hear anyone's input.

Actually, I'm really curious about it and am a bit excited.  It gives our kids a choice to check out a path before they actually study it in college.

My soon to be shs child said that her school  might change the uniform according to the student's choice. Excited ako what their new uniform may look like.

Sis if your kids are going to Public School automatic eligible na sila pero pag private need to apply for the voucher, and submit the requirements needed, tapos na ang pag bibigay nila ng voucher for this school year.. but still can check their website for details.

My daughter chose the ABM strand. She stays up til 11 studying. Am happy they're able to experience
What it's like to be in college so that it's a smoother transition for her when she takes up her chosen
Business course .

my son is currently into ABM strand in Ateneo Senior High School. Yesterday was their first whole day. They started half-day classes lang from June 13 - July 15 kaya they had tons of homework. Pero when I came home last night, he was very happy kasi wala daw binigay na homework sa kanila.

Any feedback with regards to Malayan Colleges of Laguna?

I plan to enroll my son there nxt yr for his grade 11 till college na. He likes IT kasi. Mapua makati is 4 semesters in a year, mabilis phasing kaya medyo alangan ako sya ipasok dun.. For the Malayan Colleges Laguna, sister company ng Mapua, ok kaya dun? Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks

Same pala ang strand ng kids natin , sis
We started classes last June pa.  It's pretty cool watching my kiddo make presentations on her laptop tapos either she prints it out or sends it in. Oh and make sure your printer is always working
Prelims are around the corner so she's already making reviewers and is studying for it. Daming books!

sorry sis ms_practicality! am not familiar with most schools. best to check out their curriculum or make an appointment to check out the school habang nagkaklase sila para makita mo rin. good luck sis!

Kasama na rin ang brother ko sa first batch ng SHS. Nilipat siya ng mom namin from the province to San Beda sa Manila. Nadisiplina din ang kapatid ko. Dati super tamad gumising ng maaga kahit may pasok siya. Magdadabog pa kung pinilit mong bumangon. Wala siya paki kung ma-late siya. Simula ng nag-aral siya sa beda, natuto na siya magising ng maaga. Hindi na rin siya nale-late. Hindi na rin siya mahilig magcram ng mga homeworks. Iyon ang magandang effect ng SHS sa kapatid ko. At least pag college na siya after 2 years, mas independent na siya at disiplinado.

^ good effect pala sa kapatid mo ang SHS, sis! That's great! I know they're treated almost like college students na. Wala ng white socks ang anak ko. Foot socks na lang sis and 1-2 inch heels with added vest and ribbon ang dinagdag.

Prelims na next week. Nagaaral na rin siya in advance and yes, mas maaga din anak ko sa school

I wonder how much is the tuition fee for SHS where you enroll your child. And is it true if you enroll the student  for SHS in UST, Ateneo or La Salle automatic admitted na for College din dun. I need some input as I have a Grade 9 and would like to prepare as early as now.

Am not sure but I know that the chances of your child getting admitted for that college is bigger.  They still have to take the entrance exams maybe?
