Sorry I read too much today & I thought of sharing my productive reads:
Prenup time na ba?
a) Prepare for the prenup by asking about availability at least 3 or 4 months before, that way you won't end up getting a different set of suppliers for the prenup compared to the big day. It defeats the purpose if you can't do a "dry run" with your HMUA, your photographer, or your videographer during the prenup due to schedule problems.
b) Book your venue/s and take care of all permits ahead of time. If you need transport, book that ahead of time as well.
c) If you're at a loss, get a stylist. That way, he/she can take care of suggesting a concept, venues, clothes, and all.
d) Buy accessories and clothes ahead of time, not the night before. It will just cause you to have eye bags. Your energy level might not be at its peak as well for the shoot because you tired yourself out the day before.
e) Don't be late. Do not use traffic as an excuse. Make the timeline with time to spare for traffic. If the usual is 1 hour travel time from this city to that city, allot 2 hours especially if it's the beginning of the timeline. You don't want a domino effect. Traffic happens even in the wee hours due to road accidents.
f) Remember that suppliers are humans also. They need sleep and they can only take so much -- if you are late by 30 minutes, maybe it's still ok, but if you're late by 1, 2, or 3 hours, it's not fair anymore. You deprived that supplier of rest and of the chance to be productive that day.
g) If you will use props, use big ones so they are noticeable. Lots of small props aren't usually very useful for photos and videos. Make sure though you have transport for the props and you have people who can help you haul them.
h) If you will have AVPs made out of your prenups, do not use the same venue/s and clothes for your session with your photographer and your videographer. That way, you won't bore your audience during your reception.
i) Preparing for the prenup also means preparing for other eventualities -- thirst, allergies, low energy, etc. So bring a cooler with water (not just for you but for your suppliers), medicines you need for usual ailments, energy bars/drinks for a quick pick-me-up, and even a small sewing kit with pins, needle and thread. Bring extra cash as well in case there are unforeseen expenses.
j) Before the day of the prenup, check the map so you know where necessary places are -- a hospital, if needed, a restaurant or place to eat after the prenup session, and areas for parking.
Let us know if you have other prenup tips. smile emoticon
