eye glasses for kids

Hi! any mom here who has a kid or children using eye glasses? I'm just worried kasi last month my daughter is complaining about having hard time to see their lectures in blackboard. ( sometimes ) and she's always blinking her eyes. So, I monitored her daily activities here in our house. She can do activities naman, wala naman ako nakikita na nahihirapan cia makakita. So, sabi ko kay hubby siguro nothing to worry naman kasi ok naman mga kilos nya. Then, yesterday we went to SM we were invited for free eye check up, it took 20 minutes siguro. Madaming test ginawa, pinabasa sa snellen chart dun sa 20/20 nahirapan cia and kung ano anong letters na sinasabi nya. then nag try ng kung ano anong level ng lens so hanggang maging ok. Hinde parin ako na convinced kasi ok talaga ang activities nya sabi ko kaya na walang eye glasses. Then another eye clinic ulit second opinion and same ng result. My question is, do we need to give her eye glasses at her early age ( 5 y.0) para ma correct or mas lalong tataas ang grade kung pag susuotin agad? Please enlighten me. Thank you.

My son started wearing eyeglasses last January and he's only 4 years old. During his annual physical exam, the pedia advised for us to check with an optha-pedia kasi ang lapit nya tumingin sa ipad. Nagulat kami nasa 10.00/8.5 na yung grado so pinagawan agad namin ng eyeglasses and the optha-pedia said hindi daw totoong tumataas or bumababa yung grado, permanent na daw yun unless ipa-lasik sya to correct it when he's old enough to have one. We were thankful na rin na na-diagnose ng maaga bago pa sya magstart ng school. Meron syang regular checkup with the optha-pedia to make sure that his eyesight becomes better while regularly wearing his glasses. Dati once a month tapos naging after two months then after 6 months na.

Thanks nixmusic for sharing. The doctor told us to come back after 6 months of using eyeglasses to recheck again. Hinde naman sa amin sinabi na hinde taas or baba, sabi lang it's advisable na mag eyeglasses. God bless.
