Director doesn't want us to apply in other accounts

Hello mga sis

Just want to ask your advice/opinion about this.

2 lang kami ng colleague ko dito sa Pinas office na admin sa account namin, the rest are in our office abroad.  3years na kami parehas and we both feel the same na wala na talagang growth sa account na ito and it is a very routinary job. my colleague applied to 4 internal job openings dito sa company and they(HR etc) gave her excuses na kesyo may nahanap na daw or pinag iisipan pa if kelangan talaga yung position etc.. Few weeks ago I got to talk to our IT Manager on my way home..tamang chika lang. Aba, he revealed na yung Director ng account namin is making "paharang" pala yung pag apply ng colleague ko..and made bilin to our HR na huwag kami isama sa email circulation kapag mag internal job opening. Kaya pala nagtataka kami how come we never receive those emails lately. Kaya lang natatanggap ng colleague ko is because finoforward sa kanya ng mga friends niya from different accounts. Of course I told her about this pag harang issue, para naman aware siya bakit lahat ng inapplyan nya hindi siya natatanggap.

This week she tried again to apply again in an opening duon sa account ng friend niya.. I guess she wanted to give it another shot. Then after a few days, tumawag Director ng account na yun sa kanya to tell her and apologize na he cannot accept her applciation kasi nga may order si Director namin na huwag kami pag applyan kasi "valuable employee" daw kami. WTF. Tumawag rin sa kanya yung Director namin to tell her that...na ayaw niya mawala kaming dalawa and that they value us DAW. Syempre we do not accept that cr@p. walang "valuable employee" kaming nararamdaman na trato...lalo na ako. wala man lang nga kaming recognition sa ginagawa namin eh nor incentives...mabulok ka nalang buong taon at antayin mo annual evaluation mo kung bibigyan ka ng increase. May increase naman ako every year pero pvcha napaka baba rin naman! yung minimum percent lang talaga kahit maganda pa evaluation sayo!

I kinda get it bakit wala kaming incentive nor bonus. for one, sa account namin, mas marami pang cancelled customers kesa sa active..I know because I am the one handling the cancellations. Pangalawa, paano nga ba magbibigay ng incentive ang admin work? syempre sa helpdesk may tickets yun diba, eh samin parang mahirap isipin pano nga ba magkaka KPI or what...pero it's not our job to think about that, sila na dapat mag isip nun! pangatlo, we do not know kung may incentives ba or bonuses natatanggap ang mga staff sa main office namin abroad..feeling ko wala rin pero we'll never know. basta, BS talaga rason nila na dahil "valued employees" kami and ayaw nila kami mawala.

Mga sis, legal ba ito? kasi may such a thing as  employee development program dito samin, yun bang you can take mga technical tests para magka certificate..you can apply sa ibang account if you want further growth, etc..and yet mukang hindi kami part duon. tapos may referral incentive pa nga eh kapag nag refer ka ng friends to apply for a job opening dito, so since hindi na kami kasama sa circulation ng email na yun hindi narin namin ma-aavail yung incentive na yun.

Ito lang yun eh. Sige kung hindi niyo kayang magbigay ng incentive samin or bonus man lang at hindi yung kada evaluation lang kami magaantay ng napakaliit na grasya, eh hayaan ninyo nalang kami mag-apply sa ibang account..dashil sukang suka na kami sa ginagawa namin at sa walang growth sa account na ito..hindi yung haharangan ninyo kami tapos wala naman kayo ma-offer samin na magbibigay samin ng motivation to even continue working for you.

parang no choice kami kundi 1) mag-resign and work somewhere else, 2) suck it up at mabulok where we are 3) mag-resign and apply sa ibang account. for the past 3 years hirap ako makahanap ng work para maka resign na ako. kaya lang din ako nagstastay dito at nagtitiis sa 2hr commute time from where I live is because morning shift siya mon-fri and that hindi strict dito..hindi typical BPO..at nasasayangan ako sa pinaghirapan kong HMO na makasama mama ko at daughter ko as my dependents..may first few years kasi malaki binabayad ko at nuon hindi covered ang dependents, kaming employees lang. Yun din inooffer ng ibang companies I applied for. hindi ganun kadali talaga maka hanap ng dayshift sked unless umalis na ako completely sa BPO/cc industry tapos mababa naman salary.


If I may add..ever since a multinational company bought half of our company's shares, nag iba na yung structure and little did we know kami ang isa sa maapektuhan..kasi ang ngyari is now we appear/are the client ng company namin...we just pay our company kumabaga for Hr and payroll, for the office space. so parang kumabaga kung mag-aaply kami sa ibang account at tatanggapin kami ng director ng account na yun, parang magpipirate yung mangyayari hehe. Pero take note too that yung director ng account namin is a part-owner rin ng mismong company namin. so mejo magulo diba.

sabi nga ni mama against sa labor code yun na hinaharangan kami.
what can you say about this?

Grabe sis ang hirap naman nitong situation ninyo na director ninyo pa ang humaharang ng growth ninyo dahil sa crap na reason. Mas mararamdaman ko na valuable employee ako kung mapo-promote ako at may maayos na salary increase. Hindi ka naman siguro tatawagin na valuable employee ng wala lang. Pagnakakabasa ako ng mga ganito nagpapasalamat talaga ako na maganda ang company na nalipatan ko at supportive ang supervisor, manager at director sa kung ano ang career path na gusto namin sundan. Ini-encourage pa nga sa min na mag-apply for higher position or lumipat sa ibang department in case na makakita ka ng opportunity dun. Lipat ka na lang sa min sis haha. Covered ng hmo both parents and child ko, walang kaltas sa salary namin.
If a girl understands your b******t, stick through your mistakes, smiles even when you've done nothing for her , it's obvious she's a keeper. But it's also obVious that you don't deserve her...

^ wow sis san ba yan? Makapag apply nga! :)

Sa ibang accounts sis hindi ganito Director/mamagers nila, encouraging rin sila mag apply employees nila for better opportunity and growth

Grabe nabobobo na kami sa ginagawa namin. Hindi naman kami makapag resign agad agad dahil siyempre may anak ako and lahat nga halos ng inaaplayan ko na morning shift hindi covered ang dependent sa hmo at mas mababa sweldo kaya nag aalangan ako.. Plus yung sked din..

Sana makahanap na talaga ako ng ibang work.. Target ko talaga before this year ends. Mag 4yrs na ako sa March next year and hindi ko na ata matanggap ano nanaman barya bibigay nila :(

Sa QC ako sis.

Yan nga lang mahirap makahanap ng job na willing tapatan agad ang salary mo from your previous job plus dayshift ka.   Talagang swertihan din sa boss na mapupuntahan, malas mo lang sis selfish director ninyo, ayaw kayo tulungan na maggrow ang career ninyo

Update ko lang thread na ito

Nagka opening uli dito sa office namin at sinabi sakin nung TL ng account na iyon na puwede niya ako tulungan kung gusto ko mag-apply sa kanila. gusto ko yung team nila kasi kahit small team lang sila, nagtutulong tulungan sila at walang pulitika. plus ang lalaki ng increase nila to think lahat sila halos from scartch natuto sa mga ginagawa nila now.

At dahil nga sabi ng director namin na kelangan mag resign kung talagang gusto mag transfer sa ibang account, ito na yung gagawin ko. sabi naman kasi ni TL from the other account that she will ask their directors na ibigay sakin yung mga hiling ko..and that would be na I will still have my HMO starting day 1 sa kanila, macacarry-over mga unused leaves ko and I am still able to go on leave if I need to, and to be discussed pa yung iba. 2k maiincrease kagad sa sweldo ko if naka pasa ako, based sa starting rate nila..then after 6 months upon regularization magkaka increase uli depende yung laki sa performance ko.

Magreresign lang ako syempre kapag ako yung pinili nila (although ako ang #1 priority ni TL na makuha, kasi mas gusto nila internally sila kukuha), at kung pumayag si director and naaprove sa HR (although wala ng say si HR once nagsabi na Director nila lol) sa mga hiling ko na maretain, gora na ako.

Jusko, mag 4yrs na ako sa March...yung increase ko for the past 3years ay nakakahiya kumpara sa increase nila sa team na yun nung naregular sila..as in barya lang yung akin. kung mag stay pa ako dito sa account na ito wala talaga ako maiipon ng tama..lahat ng bilihin at tuition fees nagiincrease every year, hindi man lang matapat yung increase ng sahod ko. wala kasi gaanong pera account namin.
