Back from our Boracay Trip last Oct 6-10!
Flight - This travel was due to the promo I was able to avail from SkyJet during their promo I think between July-August ata. I was able to booked 3 RT tickets Manila - Caticlan ng 1.6K lang. Kaya even if there were really no plans for Boracay for this year, eh napagora ako.
Surprisingly, both flights were smooth and on time. Halos walang laman ang plane during our flights. I was surprised as well na meron silang free snacks such as varieties of Goldilocks products + water. FA will also try to offer you to have sparkling wine (non alcoholic). Just observed na their planes are quite old and even smelled a bit off. Sana they could also spray something para di naman ganun yun amoy. But overall, it was a good flight.
Weather - On the day of arrival, it was raining, not really a heavy downpour pero it was steady for the whole afternoon. Gloomy weather and medyo malakas yun alon. Nevertheless, the beach was still amazing. I was a bit disappointed during our travel from the Port to accommodation na bumabaha sa main road. Starting from the station3 till makarating kami sa station1 maraming areas na talagang binabaha. Even the time na naglakad kami papunta ng Talipapa at D'Mall, lumusong talaga kame sa baha. Good thing, on the 2nd day till the day of our departure naging maganda yun weather, it was really sunny, making the beach looks so pristine talaga.
Accommodation - Ang mamahal ng accommodation.
On our first night, we stayed at Boracay Breeze Resort. Station1 Not beach front. A few meters away from the beach, near the church, police station, Jonah FruitShake, a small grocery. We have to pass the main road and the alley beside Willy's Beach Hotel. We got the room for 1.9K/night good for 3persons including free breakfast. Aircon, free wifi, h/c shower and a small veranda that can be used for hanging wet clothes. Ok naman yun place, though di ganun ka well maintain especially the cr. Yun location lang talaga na hindi beach front. But for the price ok na rin. For our 2nd-3rd night, I booked a room for 3persons sa Fairways and Bluewaters. We had so much fun in this resort. Ang ganda ng mga facilities, the room assigned to us was located at a villa nearest sa main lobby/restaurant and pool. We had a very nice view of the pool in our room. They have 4 pools, including the infinity overlooking their private beach. Buffet breakfasts were all good for the 2days. They have a free shuttle to D'mall and inside the resort itself. Got the room for 8.5K/2nights thru Agoda. For our last night, we transferred to Casa Fiesta instead of going back to Boracay Breeze, mainly because we want a beachfront accomodation. 2K/night for 3persons. Aircon na di naman namin maramdaman, we have to borrow pa a stand fan, h/c shower, wifi that is soooo slow and most of the time not working and nothing else. Their staffs are really not that friendly either. During the time I was reporting that their wifi is not working and the aircon is really not that cold. Eh parang ayaw pang maniwala sa akin. Medyo bad trip lang talaga. So even though they have very nice location, di ko sila marerecommend.
Activities - We did nothing. Hahaha. Ayaw ng nanay at kapatid ko. We just swam sa pool, beach. Beach bum lang talaga.
Food - Smoke's was good. The rest of our meals, either sa hotel at sa mga restaurants familiar sa amin lang kame kumain. So I have nothing to share pagdating dito.
Transpo - Regulated yun tricyle from airport to caticlan port 50/ride (3persons) And within Boracay, lakad and tricycle lang kame which is 10/head/trip.
Overall, I could say maganda talaga yun beach ng boracay, very fine sands, malinis most of the part though nun last day namin during the time I was swimming early morning, I was picking some trash na nasa tubig, mostly mga plastic items. Sayang ang ganda ng Boracay if people will not be disciplined enough na alagaan yun lugar. Early mornings and mid afternoons were for me that the beach was its best. Ganda! Turquoise water, white sands and blue sky with clouds. Very picturesque! IMO lang, masyadong crowded yun island. I am a beach person, pero I like it less crowdy wherein makakapagchillax ka talaga. We were staying the whole time sa station1 pero nadadamihan na ako sa tao, to think na low season pa ang punta namin. Some establishment, or should I say most of the establishments masyadong malapit sa beach. Sana they have put some control over it. Nevertheless, I could really say na this was the nicest beach I've been too, (I really must visit Calaguas soon) but I think I still prefer Panglao's beach, particularly on the Dimaluan area mostly because of the vibe.
