Ako sis we bought sim at klook. If itethether mo sya mabagal. Mas mabilis pa talaga wifi ng hotels or in my case guesthouse. The sim is great if you will need it outside the hotel para sa maps or searching for something.

came back from HK yesterday.  Hindi po malamig. not even aircon weather.  not humid though. But it's safe to still have a light jacket handy, umbrella and raincoat for kids especially kung punta kayo Disney or op. 

Also, i was able to get my voucher converted using the automatic ticketing machine, it scanned the bar code then you have to insert yung credit card you used online to for verification.  after that it printed my tickets.

^^sis Pinkish_23, relatively mabilis naman ang internet sa HK compared sa atin kaya don't worry. If hindi abot yung wifi sa guesthouse, you can work in Starbucks, sa mga malls din and other resto they have free wifi access for 30 minutes.

We usually buy a traveller's sim. May kasama ng 5 gig na data. I don't know the brand kasi si hubby ang bumibili.

^incomparable pala dapat hahaha.... Pero when we went to HK last month, hindi muna kami bumili ng SIM. Kasi tinitignan namin ni hubby if we can survive without buying it. May sarili syang agenda, so minsan hiwalay talaga kami ng lakad.

Okay naman, kasi nga yung Airbnb namin has very fast wifi connection. Tapos yun nga pag nasa labas, halos lahat ng establishments may free Wifi naman, even Sasa!

Hi mga sis, sa Friday na ang flight namin. Sana may makasagot. Balak ko kasi bumili ng sim nila through Klook, makakamura kasi ako, wondering kung may naka try na nito? Work from home kasi ako, though nakapagfile ako ng leave for Friday, gusto ko parin mag work ng weekends para di masyadong madami ang gagawin ko sa Monday next week. Kaya was wondering kung pwede i tether ang connection from the sim to the laptop? Di ko kasi sure kung malakas ang makukuha kong signal ng wifi sa hotel. Mahirap na. its 4G so kung may LTE yan phone mo, okay yan. Pati tethering mabilis din. Mahal nga lang pero worth it naman.

Got my sim sa golden crown, 68hkd unlimited 3g for 3 days plus libre unli call din. Useful to find place especially for us super libot kami at mawala wala kami lagi so nasulit naman yun sim. Mabilis na rin sya definately faster than manila's 4g.

Sa mga gusto ng jenny's cookies: best time to buy sa tst na store around 7pm onwards. Super no line pag dating mo ikaw na agad. Unlike when we went sa other branch around 5pm haba ng pila like 40 people in queue

hi sisses, i'll be in HK for some training and leisure na rin on Monday ( 1 whole week) ask ko lang safe ba sa chungking mansion. im looking for a hostel kasi na affordable lang talaga since msot of my tiem naman nasa training at galaan ako then gabi na siguro ako makakauwi. so basically the hostel will just serve as my cabinet and sleeping room.
may nagsabi kasi sa akin na if i want an affordable settlement then i should go with chungking mansion kasi pinakamura na daw doon. kaso one of my friend told me naman na hassle daw since puro pakistans daw doon at super crowded. any feedback pls?

^Yes, avoid Chungking Mansions especially pag babae ka pa. Marami namang murang guesthouse din.  Check

medyo na-disappoint naman ako, akala ko medyo malamig na sa HK by 1st week of December, kahit aircon level lang. Based sa nababasa and nakikita ko, mainit pa raw eh. I've been checking HK temperature online, by 1st week of December kaya lalamig pa?

gusto ko kasi sana yun malapit lang sa pasyalan at sa mga night market.

^ Sa GC ka na lang sis, magkalapit lang sila ng Chungking and malapit sa MTR station. The problem is kung may available rooms pa sila if next week na byahe mo. Their rooms get booked waaay in advance.

Sa Chungking kasi, daming Middle Easterns loitering sa vicinity ng building. Bago ka makapasok, sa labas pa lang, nakakalat na sila. Actually kahit nga dadan ka lang medyo creepy kasi puro lalaki sila making tambay outside.

'Yung night markets naman sa Jordan and Mongkok 'yun, mag MTR ka pa rin from TST. Boutique shops ang marami sa TST hehe.

thanks mga sis, ganun na nga lang siguro gagawin ko, sayang kung di magamit ang sim. Balak ko pa naman sana ilagay sa regular phone ko hehe. Pero mas ok nga kung sa lte phone.

Regarding pala sa GC, nagtry ako magbook dyan 1 month ahead ng schedule namin, grabe puno na sila agad. Pati Taisan and Cosmic. Kaya wala na kami choice at nag Lucky Hostel kami. Sana lang maayos ayos sya at malinis. Yun lang naman important saka malakas wifi ahahha

how about golden island hostel/ anyone know this? ok ba dyan? it's in nathan road yau ma tei daw sbai ng isang sis natin dito. ok kaya dyan? medyo affordable din kasi ang rate.
