Winter Trip Report (plus tips)
DMZ & JSA, DMZ only or JSA only? For me, mas okay ang full day tour ng DMZ & JSA. Na enjoy ko ito kasi interested talaga ako sa history ng Korea. Promote ko na din dito yung blog post ko about DMZ and JSA
Is it possible to explore Nami Island, Petite France and Garden of Morning Calm in one day? Yes! DIY lang kami pero na achieved namin yan. Super dali lang kaya wag na kayo mag travel agency kung pupunta kayo jan. Haha.
Nami Island: From where you are staying in Seoul, take a train going to Sangbong (G-J Line) then transfer to Gyeongchun Line and get off at Gapyeong Station. Ride a cab or the Gapyeong City Tour bus going to Gapyeong Wharf. Get your admission ticket to Nami which costs KRW 8,000 and ride the ferry (already included in the ticket).
Petite France: From Nami Island, go to 711 and wait for the Gapyeong City Tour bus. If you have not purchased your ticket, you may buy it directly from the driver. The cost is KRW 6,000. Admission to Petite France is KRW 8,000. You won’t spend too much time here because it is small.
Garden of Morning Calm: From Petite France, ride the Gapyeong City Tour bus to the Garden. Admission is KRW 8,000. During this time of the year until early March 2016, there is a Winter Lighting Festival which normally starts at sunset. When we were there last Monday, it started around 5:30 pm. Sobrang ganda!
Kpop Tour - I’m a fan pero hindi kasing addict ng friend ko ahaha! We spent a day in Gangnam, Cheongdamdong and SM COEX Artium. Medyo naumay ako sa araw na to kasi pati SM Entertainment pinuntahan namin! As if naman may makikita kaming Kpop star dun! Ahaha At grabe sa SM COEX umay na umay ako sa dami ng Kpop merchandise! May chocolate at candies na may pangalan lang ng EXO, Super Junior or Girls Generation na binebenta. Jusko. Ahaha. Sorry po sa mag Kpop fans jan. Peace!
Where to stay? Hongdae! Seriously. Mas gusto ko ang vibe dito compared to Myeongdong. At pansin ko mas mura ang bilihin dito. Yung favorite kong Eomuk KRW 500 lang ang isa. Sa ibang areas ng Seoul KRW 1,000 yun. Yung guesthouse namin (Hongdae Housetay Guesthouse 2), 3 minute walk lang from AREX and subway station. Hindi kami na stress sa baggage nung papunta at pauwi na. Very basic lang yang guesthouse na yan. Around 2.7K each lang kami for 5 nights with free breakfast (usually bread, milk and cereals lang). At yung bed, mala orthopaedic bed haha! Pero hindi naman sumakit likod namin

Mas mura chocolates dito. Nakabili din ako ng madaming jjampong and ramyun. Meron silang 4 + 1 for only 9,000 - 10,000 won.
Hanbok Rental - We rented a hanbok for 4 hours (KRW 13,000) ^_^ Free entrance sa lahat ng Joseon Palaces kapag naka hanbok so super saya namin. Aliw mag photo shoot! Tuwang tuwa samin ang mga ahjumma and ahjussi! Haha

http://www.onedayhanbok.com Winter Wear - One thermal inner wear, one knitted long sleeves and down jacket. Then one thermal leggings, one ordinary leggings and jeans. You can also wear beanies, winter scarves, ear covers or muffs. For me, mas effective na inner wear ang Uniqlo Heattech Fleece Turtle Neck Long Sleeve kesa sa dun sa Heattech Crew Neck Long Sleeve T-Shirt nila. Nilamig kasi ako dun, kailangan ko pa mag double ng inner wear.
