green roof
« on: October 09, 2015, 02:57:14 pm »
Hi, anyone familiar with green roof? Nag DIY project ako nito but mostly yung naresearch ko is european/US set-up. Or, mall setting or hotel setting. Madalang sa atin ito na residential scale.

Anyway, after 2 months, nakikita ko na yung aesthetic result. Pero ang advantage nya talaga for me is maaliwalas and hindi mainit yung baba ng bahay ko.

Nangangapa pa ako sa mga ideal plants for this kasi mababaw lang ang lupa. but so far, ok naman ang peanut grass and i dont know yung purple plant na ginamit ko.

mama squeak!

We're going to have a green roof on the vacation house that we're buildiing soon. The roof looks like this, not sure if that will be the brand our architect will be using but yeah something like that. Since the house will eventually be our retirement home we want it to be sustainable and low maintenance (no need na for insulation sa ceiling). We also plan to install solar panels in the future.

ang linis tignan pag pure grass! right now, I used peanut grass kasi I want yung yellow flowers nya. downside is that di sya pwede lagi apakan, unlike grass.

Nung nagpaquote ako, nasa 2,500 per sqm. now na nagDIY ako less than 10k for 9sqm. nakakatuwa and nakakainip. kasi super tinipid ko yung plants hoping na it will propagate by itself.

I just dont want to invest too much kasi after few years baka ibahin ko ulit yung plants.

Promise, ang aliwalas sa baba ng bahay kahit wala kami aircon.
