Sasabihin ko GMA wag siya tanggapin  palibhasa mga wala ng career” grabe ang hugot ng mga seniors at first day sila manonood  Sabi nung magazine store may isa pa nga daw matanda na nagpunta dun dati daw 5 ang maintenance mula ng magka Aldub sa saya na naidulot sa kanya isa na lang iniinom sabi ko naman "Baka naman po pinambili na ng magazines ang pambili nga gamot 
 

I therefore conclude mukhang magiging GRAND SENIOR CITIZEN’s Movie Day ang July 13  anyways sana kung magka Grand Fans Day ang Aldub na long overdue na sana may separate sila para sa mga senior exclusively. I believe they are the only stars in our country who got the lives of so many senior citizens this happy.

When APT, GMA Films and MZet Production merges capable naman pala na mag-produce ng at par at higit pang mala Star Cinema quality romance movie. Yes Star Cinema ang gauge ko why? It’s a known fact all the most memorable, classic and box office local romantic movies are all under their belt. Better late than never for this 3 movie producers when they volted in.

Imagine You and Me is a Maine and Alden movie no more no less. I like the fact na binalato ng creators sa dalawa ang pelikula to shine respectively on their own with what they do best – Alden on drama and Maine on comedy. The script has good characterization of the leads with just the right mixture of comedy, drama and kilig until the end. I love the symbolical opening puzzle scene and how it connected to the climax. One of the movies strongest point and what I love most is the GREAT cinematography -one of the best I have seen for a local romantic movie. There are many intelligent good quality shots be in the indoor locations or outdoor scenic views of Italy. And hooray there are only threee product placements but very subtle at di obvious. The musical scoring is on point too and the choice of songs are all surprisingly good. I always find “Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin” as super bakya and baduy but dahil sa pelikulang ito nagbago na ang pananaw ko That car scene which incidentally is my favorite scene will definitely be added to the list of the most memorable local classic romantic movie scenes with tatak ng nag-iisang Maine Mendoza. I don’t think Sarah nor Kim who does similar brand of romantic comedy can beat her in that. Speaking of Sarah, I think the closest I can compare IYAM to locally is with the JL-Sarah starrer. Alden unleashed his JL romance genre acting skills finally in the big screen and Maine showcased she definitely has acting chops similar to our all time fave Sarah G and Meg Ryan characters in romantic flicks. She is very lovable/likeable as Gara – the kind of role ang bagay sa kanya not like the one sa GGMY. How I wish Laida Magtalas and Gara character will cross path and be in a movie together - saya at riot siguro nun but of course it’s just a wild imagination since it will never happen because of the stupid network war (to the point of sabotaging ang mismong industry imbes na magtulungan). The supporting cast and even those who just did cameo appearances are all memorable in their respective roles. A funny bestfriend is a must in any romantic movies and Cai 1 and 2 did a great job and have very wonderful chemistry with Maine. And Jasmine she did well actingwise in her role. She’s a perfect choice. If one is a sucker for romance, one will immediately notice the last 3 scenes is staple in majority of romance movies/series but what makes it special - its for you to find out.

Everything fell into place with IYAM which was cemented to a stronghold by very strong chemistry of the leads. If there is one thing na pinagpapasalamat ko sa loveteam na ito buti na lang di pabebe ang girl – sabi nga the FIRST TIME is always the memorable and what could be more SPECIAL than to give that in your launching movie kaya lahat tuloy ng nanood ay lumabas ng sinehan lalo na sila lola ng may ngiti sa labi at ang iba ay nagtatalon pa sa tuwa.

Last but not the least, to the captain of the ship Direk Mike - KUDOS for a job well done to you and your team I know you blocked me on twitter because I am one of those early on who had been consistently criticizing your handling of the directing job. I won’t take back what I previously said but I wish this will be start of more quality and watchable movie works from you. BAKA NAMAN… pede Valentines movie for Aldub ang next. Set in the Big Apple basta may skating rink scene around the Big Christmas tree PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN DIREK.

If you love local romantic movies and not into network wars nor stars biases this film will definitely be included in your ALL TIME FAVORITE ROMANTIC MOVIE LIST mainly because of the story, characters and very beautiful cinematography.


BTW, Maine if ever you got to read this - being a romance sucker yourself I know nakialam ka YANG TATAA nakialam ka talaga halata eh??? Di ba?? Di ba??? YANG TATAA ?? Maraming salamat at nakialam ka sa pelikula mo/niyo ni Alden you did a GREAT job dear
