In the first place, naniniwala pa ba kayo dito?

Ako kasi I never thought of the "aswangs" not until my sister-in-law mentioned it.

Parang totoo sila.

We live in a mountainous area and I heard some weird sounds at night during my previous pregnancy. Then, there's this incident where 4 or 5 neighborhood cats were clawing at the  window screen where I was standing.  Freaked out ang show  :o

As much as I don't want to believe this, ayaw ko din mapahamak or something bad will happen to me or my baby.

Since I am in the province, may mga nag eexist na story like this sa amin. There is one popular story, an old woman said to be aswang. She knows kung saan nakatira mga buntis and she would sometimes show up sa mga bahay na ito. A friend, once nagkwento na this old woman went to her house when she was pregnant with her daughter. They asked her what they want and she said naligaw lang daw sya. The following night, may mga kaluskos or parang naglalakad sa bubong nila. Then another story, this old woman frequents the house ng classmate ng nephew ko whose mother is pregnant. Minsan di nila namalayan nasa kitchen na sya. The mother's child died in her womb at I think 8 months. May isa pang story about her na namatay din ang baby when the mother gave birth.

At guess what?? Twice na syang pumunta sa bahay namin, or at least nakapasok sa gate. First, nung hindi ko pa confirmed na preggy ako although delayed na ako that time. Second just a couple of weeks ago. I was sleeping pa naman sa bamboo bench sa labas ng bahay. Good thing when she entered the gate, I got inside to pee. My tito who was near the gate asked her to leave and as usual, her reason for getting inside the gate is naligaw lang daw sya.

My cousin also made kwento na they once cornered this old woman sa house ng friend niya. She asked them to remove the broom para makadaan sya.

My husband said that the babies' deaths could be coincidence since walang namang proof but that we should be cautious na lang. Better safe than sorry.

@i_am_zayda Better close the doors lang talaga sis. Kasi during the day sya pumapasok sa mga bahay.

Important sa kwarto and most of all, keep the doors closed. I don't think there's a need to worry.

They use animals to get near their prey.

According to some books I've read, these "aswangs or ungo" who prey on the unborn are astral or energy predators.  During pregnancy, angels or higher beings are very busy fashioning the body of the unborn child and tremendous energy is given to the fetus for it to develop.  This is food for the astral predators. If they get substantial amount of energy from the baby, the baby may die or at least be deformed.

One way of protecting oneself daw is to create a shield surrounding oneself including the baby by invoking the protection of angels, higher beings or whatever god one believes in.

Very fascinating books  :)

I also have a share of experience sa "aswang" thing. When I was pregnant with my 3rd child, we are still living in my parent's house. Kasama din namin dun yung family ng younger brother ko and his wife is also pregnant, yung neighbor namin sa tapat, preggy din and yung neighbor next house after sa katabi namin preggy din, and lahat kami weekslang ang pagitan ng due date.

Here it goes, one time nagising yung neighbor sa katabing bahay namin, it was around 3am daw. As in nakasabit or nakalambitin ang pusa. Takot na takot daw sya.

The following month after that incident may nagyari sa kin. We used to sleep kasi na lights off. And wala naman ako mga precaution na ginawa to ward off aswang that time. Biglang may tumalon sa belly ko, nagulat ako and nagising, makita ko may mahabang buntot and it looked like a big rat to me, e open ang door ng kwarto namin dahil ginagawa pa house ng parents ko. As in kinalmot yung tyan ko. Masakit sya and medyo malalim yung kalmot.

Now lang nangyare yun.
