Nag spotting again ako and so I went to MMC triage. So they conducted some exams and transvaginal ultrasound. My cervix is still closed and long. But they discovered that I have placenta previa partialis. Ang weird Lang kasi based sa 20th week transabdominal US ko my placenta is high lying. Ano yun error in the 20th week US?

- Depende sis how much of an expert ang gumawa ng ultrasound pero if you want to be sure, better to have it re-done by a perinatologist with a high-frequency machine

-yup. yesterday I went on sick leave because of contractions and mild symptoms of a recurrent UTI. I was concerned that my baby might get affected. First thing my OB did was check baby's heartbeat. Wala naman daw problem. Tapos nagprescribe siya ng Cefuroxime for the UTI and Duvadilan. He did not make me stop working or driving. Kahit manual daw ok lang. Though Im driving an AT car. He also gave me my initial tetanus toxoid shot, may another injection pa daw.

nakaka experience kasi ako ng contractions (feeling na may regla) pero wala naman bleeding. I think nagsisigurado lang si OB na ma-protect ang baby kasi nagka miscarriage nga din ako sa earlier pregnancy (this is technically my second).

-Before going to the OB, I prepared a list of questions which he (male siya) answered one by one:

1. How much ang magagastos ko for delivery?

a. NSD -25k net of Philhealth, all-in
b. CS - 50k net of Philhealth, all-in

2. Ok po ba ang heartbeat ng baby ko? Yes. No problem with the baby.

3. When can we undergo CAS? on the 28th week (Feb 13, 2016)

4. Is it true that sleeping/lying flat on one's back is bad for the baby?

According to him, it is not bad at all. Except lang, depende sa laki ng tummy, nahihirapan ang mommy na humiga ng flat kasi hindi makahinga. Left, right or on your back, wala daw problem. Basta dapat comfortable ang sleeping position. For back sleepers, eventually daw hindi na comfortable to lie flat because it will be difficult to breathe.

5. Totoo bang hindi pwede maligo after manganak?

Nope. He doesn't advice that. He actually advices taking a bath and maintaining cleanliness even after delivery to avoid infections.

6. Should I take malunggay capsules?

He doesn't agree. Sabi niya, ang importante for breastfeeding moms to produce more milk is their fluid intake. Inom ng maraming water. Kasi sabi nga niya, yung mga babae noong araw, they were able to breastfeed even without malunggay capsules. Per his advice, lutuin na lang yung malunggay and isama sa soup.

Question: ano tawag sa ipapa sabe mo un umbilical cord or placenta ng baby mo. Na pwede magamit for the future, ginagamit din ito sa stem cell??. Alam ko meron na dito nun un boss ng asawa ko gonin pinagawa. Nakalimutan lang niya tawag. May bayad daw ito monthly kasi naka freeze daw.

ako complete placenta previa ako kaya bedrest ako .. hindi para umangat ang placenta kase sabi niya hindi daw macocontrol if aangat si placenta o hindi .. yung placenta mismo ang mag move ng kusa .. nag aadvice lang ng bedrest kase risky , pag may placenta previa daw always may contractions na nararamdaman w/c is bawal, saka bawal contact or kahit ano instrument na ipapasok sa vigina .. sabi niya pa sakin may mga case na umaakyat si placenta pero mostly daw hindi na ..

Hello mga sissies,
Our baby's morphology scan is done (I guess ayon yung CAS na sinsabi) and we are having a baby BOY! as in superboy po siya ang likot sa ultrasound, nahihiya nako sa sonographer because she needs to call another sono and her supervisor to help her capture nung hindi niya makuha kuha dahil sa likot niya and took 2 hours for this na dapat eh 1 hour lang. But I am so proud of him, he's so active sa loob and I think he doesn't want the doppler pressure, we can see sa screen he kicks any pressure,follows then kick again and even bumped his head to push back the pressure. My time bigla siyang nagheadstand kasi I think he's really reaching the pressure and naiinis siya, so cute!

I always check his fetal heartbeat at home, I bought a fetal HB doppler online and he measures 150-160BPM. Wala pa kami advise from OB, I will see an OB on Feb 2nd pa and I'm a bit anxious on the results but i'm positive na wala masyadong ikakastress ko.

As much as possible I sleep on my left side, I get stubborn waking up lying flat so I bought a body pillow. This is meant for preggies talaga like a C shaped pillow, then can be use as baby pillow when you breastfeed once baby is born. Di nako masyado bumili extra pillows kasi ok naman yung body pillow, covers my back, then a cushion between my legs narin so all in one na. They say sleeping on left side will help your baby position the ideal way on delivery yung baby facing your spine....

If ok naman ako sa lahat and no other issues, I want the water birth..

hindi na rin ako natutulog ng nakatihaya .. laging sa left pag nangalay sa right naman .. pero minsan nagigising ako ng nakatihaya ..

Sis, how do you really know if they are contractions? Kasi I feel this sometimes, yung mabigat as if magkakaregla. Last time super sakit nya na when I tried to get up napaupo talaga ako kasi masakit. Although it lasts a few seconds lang naman, and I don't feel the whole belly na tumitigas. Mostly sa lower lang as in sa puson. I didn't really think much about it kasi nga nawawala din naman sya agad. Iniisip ko baka malakas lang gumalaw si baby kaya parang napupush down yung pelvic organs ko kaya mabigat.

San to sis? My OB quoted me around 50-60k pag NSD, net of Philhealth. Then 80k naman if CS. Ang mahal! My mom is encouraging me na sa province na lang manganak, sabi nila mas mura dun, especially PF ng doctors. But ayaw ng husband ko kasi we both work in Manila so as long as wala pa syang binyag we can't bring the baby here (bawal daw kasi magbyahe si baby if di pa baptized).

So better kung sasabihin mo ito sa OB mo. Nagka UTI ako last month. tapos bumalik na naman siya. ako kasi pinainom ng Duvadilan para hindi kami magkamali kung sakaling yung contractions ko pala e delikado na for the baby. For 1 week lang naman. Nangyayari din sa akin yung sinasabi mo sis na napapaupo ako minsan.

^about the hospital, sa VT Maternity Hospital in Marikina ako manganganak. taga-Marikina kasi ako sis. My OB is Dr. Justin Tansinsin, part owner ng hospital. siya rin OB ko nung first miscarriage. Siya rin ang nag D&C sa akin. Ok yung hospital. Super linis. Nasa labas pa lang ako naaamoy ko na yung cleaning detergent nila. I specifically asked kung kasama na dun sa quote niya yung PF niya. sabi niya, yes. lahat na yun. Gusto siya ng husband ko kasi hindi siya mahirap hagilapin kahit emergency. Tapos mura ang singil niya, even yung consultation niya mura lang.

^^ yung pakiramdam na may parang mahuhulog, para kang dinidismenoria, then ang bigat bigat ng puson.. yan yung sinabi ko kay ob ko nung 10weeks ako ..actually lagi ko yan iniinda sakanya .. so pag iniinda ko yan binibigyan niya ako ng duvadilan.. sabi niya constractions nga daw yun kaya bedrest. wala naman kase akong uti kaya sabi niya hindi normal dapat mawala yun .. ngayon alam na namin ni ob bakit ganon dahil sa placenta ko

Pag magkakaron ako dati more on tender breasts lang ang symptom ko, and slight heaviness sa puson kaya hindi ko alam how it feels really.

@imagodei082990 - thanks sis! sonographer lang kasi sila hindi OB- sono yung nagultrasound sa akin and from what I know, they really do not say anything basta gawin lang nila job nila then they let the OB explains it all and napakatagal ng 2 weeks sakin where i'n scheduled to see the OB.the agony of waiting haaay lalo ako kinakabahan of what will the OB will tell us and praying na sana okay naman nothing much to worry.

dapat siguro wala muna contact .... ayun 1st ko naranasan yung sakit ng puson at spotting nung ng contact kami ni hubby nung 10weeks ako ..

ah ganon ba .. yung ng pa CAS ako OB-SONO yung gumawa at ang tagal talaga lahat kase sinukat niya .. mula ulo hanggang pa pati yung organs ..

Sabi ni OB, in an uncomplicated pregnancy, ok lang naman contact with husband. The contractions daw after is due to the hormones released during lovemaking.

No contact if may complications like, placenta issues, infections, spotting, etc.

^^ sis wala kasi ob-sono dito kaya medyo itetest talaga patience mo to meet the ob as scheduled. hindi agad agad consult after ng US at pwede mainterpret ng ob kagaya sa atin.

sis simang much better to mention to your ob if lovemaking is safe based on your pregnancy situation, it is advised anything we'll do like yoga,prenatal exercise and sex must be consulted to your ob first to avoid more problems. pero if you have no issues naman eversince no bleeding, ok lang daw.

Thank you sisses. We actually mentioned naman sa OB namin yung about sa sexual contact, cleared naman, I mean she said it's okay. Yan din sabi nya sis coco, as long as walang complications, or if you're not having multiples, it's okay. I never had bleeding or anything, placenta position is normal din. But I will definitely mention the contraction thing the next time we visit. But basing on our last visit 5 days ago, okay naman si baby.
