By the way, thanks sis msals2007 and sis Wantstobeamom. Ang saya ko talaga ng malaman ko na may blessing na! And once I learned na I am preggy, naging praning na ako sa mga kinakain ko, kinikilos ko. Pag parang feeling ko may mali ako nakain or kilos parang gusto ko magpa-ultrasound just to make sure na okay si baby.

In addition, dalawang beses na ko nanaginip na nakunan ako.. waaahhh.. it makes me worried. kaya lagi ko kinakausap si baby na kapit lang sya at wag mawawala.

Kayo sis, what are your anxieties ngayong nasa First Trimester kayo?

Congratulations to the new moms to be! I'm 12+1 today and like you sis, I have the same worry during my early weeks before my first appt hoping that there will be a heartbeat and praise God there is definitely a baby inside but every now and then I still do. I'm very grateful that this pregnancy is very smooth. No nausea, vomiting, food aversions, bed rest etc just tired and hungry.

And since this is my first pregnancy at 35, I had done series of tests already to include fetal free DNA test at 10 weeks to check for chromosome abnormalities (trisomy 21, 18 & 13), result was negative. I also did glucose test at my first appt and I failed, slightly higher than normal so i am diagnosed with GD at an early stage and pricking 4x/day. I have a white coat syndrome that makes my BP goes up every time I go to the hospital that made my OB ordered more tests like EKG (normal),visit to the optometrist (vision is 20/20) and 24 hour urine test (normal)  which he think points to me having pre-existing diabetes which I don't. All my tests are good except for the glucose test. I have never done so many tests and blood drawn in my life until I got pregnant but I would do everything just to have a normal and happy baby.

@herroyalbleakness   OO nga sis yun lagi sinasabi ko sa sarili ko enjoy lang this pregnancy.  Hirap pala pag first time hehe.

@jeune: congrats sis! Saan ang location mo? blood test lang ba yung chromosomal abnormality screening? Have you done HBa1c? Mas accurate kasi sya in pinpointing if it's DM or just GDM


@ilovepink: yes, that is called spotting. The brown tinge of the discharge can only come from blood i had that too as well kanina. I'm currently at 11 weeks aog. Ultrasound agad and may nakitang 1.3ml subchorionic hemorrhage. It's still considered small, pero I'm put on bedrest for the next 2 weeks

@i_am_zayda   Sis before my first ultrasound worry ko is walang baby sa loob.  Ngayon naman the baby might not be getting enough nutrients and he/she's not developing properly. 
Next week I will have series of tests at 11w4d.  I'm anxious na naman, sana okay lahat.  Basta pray lang ako ng pray.  Alam ko hindi will ni Lord na lagi tayo nagwo-worry.

@Wantstobeamom yan din ang isa ko pa worry. I'm afraid that my baby is not developing properly.

Sa October 24 pa ang susunod ko check-up sa OB. Wala pa reseta sa akin si Doc na kung ano additional na iinom kasi dati pa ko inom ng Folic Acid, Fish Oil and Vitamin D3 so sabi nya ituloy ko lang daw muna. May mga lab tests na pinapagawa like CBC, urinalysis, blood typing.

Unfortunately before being preggy I was already diagnosed with Impaired Glucose Tolerance (IGT) kaya pinapabalik nya ako sa endocrinologist ko tapos si endocrinologist ko naman ini-refer din ako na magpa-consult sa nutritionist/dietician... haist ang dami gagawin. pero okay lang as long as magiging okay si baby...

^ ako din sis sa Oct 24 next check up ko. But I'd be past first trimester by that time as I'm going 10w tomorrow. I already did cbc, urinalysis, fbs, rpr and hbsag. So far ok naman results ko except sa urine because may microscopic blood daw. Meaning may bleeding ako but cannot be seen by my naked eye. Doc gave me duphaston to be taken 3x a day for 7 days. Pampakapit daw. I feel paranoid nga now kasi I have been suffering from cough these past few days na. Baka each time I cough e na-sstress si baby. Sana mag effect ang meds na binigay ni doc.

Another thing, hindi pa maririnig sa doppler ang hb ni baby since 9w pa lang that time. Hays parang gusto ko na lang magpa-ultrasound every week.

Di talaga maiwasan ang worries, wag lang natin i-overdo baka maapektuhan ang baby.
Mga sis when maririnig hb?  I hope to hear it next week during my check-up we just saw it lang kasi at 8 weeks, di pa pinarinig samin kasi baka ma stress daw ang baby with a doppler, ibang "sound waves" daw kasi yun pag pinarinig na.  They can pick it up na daw at 8 weeks pero di daw safe sa embryo.

Tanong ko din pala, are you already showing this early?  My tummy is not super flat to begin with pero petite ako.  Just wondering, kasi at 10w5days I have a bump na talaga na medyo halata na kahit maluwang na blouse.  Pag nag tshirt ako sobrang halata na talaga.  Am I too early.  I know part of it is bloating kasi mas malaki siya pag gabi na.

@Wantstobeamom With mine, pinarinig sa akin ni doc when he did my transvaginal ultrasound at 8w2d. When my OB tried at 9w2d through doppler, hindi namin marinig kaya naging paranoid na naman ako. But she said na baby's hb can usually be heard through doppler around 12w.

Regarding my tummy, 10w ako today and I would like to think na may bump na but my husband is joking me na bloat lang daw. Siguro nga kasi every morning na empty stomach pa, parang nawawala ang bump.

sabi dun sa mga nababasa ko pag mga first time moms mejo late na lumalabas ang baby bump. siguro nga lang bloated tayo ngaun nasa early stages pa tayo ng pregnancy. pero excited na ako magka baby bump kahit maliit lang. para kasing for me, yun ang assurance ko na nandyan na talaga si baby.. hehe...

Grabe super gassy ako starting mid afternoon, pag gabi na ayun ang laki na ng tiyan ko.  Ako din excited mgkaron ng real bump kasi weird nagde-deflate siya overnight.   first time pregnancy ko 'to kaya I wasn't expecting na ganito ka kaaga.  Dahil din siguro I don't have super flat tummy pre-pregnancy at bloated.

au_chic: Thank you sis! I live in Germany but I go to a U.S. Military hospital. Yung nirecommend sakin ay yung blood drawn procedure, meron din yatang iba pang tests like amniocentesis and cvs and they're not blood drawn. Not sure if I had the HBa1c test, I have to check the reports from all the tests out of the 20 vials of blood they took from me

^wow you're very lucky na may chromosomal screening na blood test lang dyan very invasive rin kasi ang amnio and cvs, so if it were me, di ko rin papagawa


I had the ob check the nuchal transparency of my fetus, though. It's only 1.3 mm, which is great. If it's more than 2.5mm, most likely may Down Syndrome or other trisomy conditions yung fetus


I went back to my original ob-gyne and he put me on bedrest coz I had a little spotting and may subchorionic hemorrhage medyo hirap ng hindi nagwwork. I don't put makeup pag nasa bahay lang so I feel ugly Ang rami ko pa namang pimples ngayon everywhere and syempre bawal ang most anti-acne creams.


3 weeks na lang and graduate na ko from first trimester. Up to 14 weeks pala sya. Noong una, I thought 12 weeks lang haha.


@wantstobeamom: ako may "fat bump" right now dahil ang takaw ko recently the baby bump usually shows around 12 weeks talaga. So bilbil lang talaga ang laki ng tiyan ko ngayon hahaha

I'm already on my 13th week. Yey, nearing second semester na and I'm hoping that my paglilihi will end in the next week or two.

hi mga sis. mejo worried ako. kasi last night humilab ang tyan ko up to the point na nagcramps puson ko and then its like nag pPMS ako. punta banyo, did my thing plus kasama suka. I think i ate something yesterday. should i be worried na baka naapektuhan si baby? im still in my first trimester kaya super worried ako... do you think sis my experience yesterday warrants an appointment with the doctor? sa oct 24 pa kasi talaga checkup ko sa OB...

i had that cramp-y feeling too noong 7-8th week ko. Parang dysmenorrhea. Scary. Ayun pala napoopoops lang ako, nawala after pooping.

Anyone whos been breaking out? Pinipimple ako!  Hindi naman oily face ko before i got pregnant, pero ngayon ang oa... Hindi ko magamit yung mga usual products ko kesyo daw bawal sabi ng mommy ko and friends ko... I tried hhn products, lalo ko pinimple... Grrr.. Ano ba naman yan!

I've been using Johnson's baby products lang (body wash, shampoo) since the IVF started. After my 10th week lang naglabasan ang pimples sana boy itong dinadala ko.
