parang ang cool ng wedding pag si ramon bautista. ang kulet ng mga books at shows nya so I'm sure patok sya sa weddings.

okay lang naman iyong funny, pero iyong inookray na yung guests mo medyo off na talaga nya.

For wedding hosts, importante yung marunong mag-break ng ice. Yung may sense of humor, pero syempre, may konting pagka-formal pa rin, especially if the wedding reception is formal. If the host is sanay sa mga lectures and school programs, ok lang sana, but only if may experience na talaga siya sa wedding reception hosting. Or, he should be someone who's like a chameleon nga madaling maka-adjust according to situation.

It's best din if your host knows you and your H2B. Kasi mas madaling mag-relate ng anecdotes sa guests pag kilala mo yung bride and groom. This is the reason why some couples choose relatives or friends as their host. I did this also, kasi I wanted a more personal feel sa wedding namin. I asked a friend, who is an artist and does hosting on the side, to be our host and talagang super saya kasi yung jokes niya, tumpak sa personalities and experiences namin ng husband ko. The guests had a great time!

If you really want to hire someone, though, puede naman kayo mag-meet several times para magkakilala talaga kayo - and he'll learn a lot of things about you and H2B na magagamit niya as guide sa pagho-host niya.

rowan I booked Darlene last July to host my wedding on May 2016. She's popular here on GT and W@w. A lot of former brides have already written reviews on her so back read na lang. Darlene actually won W@w's supplier of the year this year and that means something. She's very organized and helpful and I had no doubts when I booked her. Yup, that can happen, too, sis! May puntahan na rin ako na ganyan ang nangyari. Kaya it's important din na kahit close friend ng couple 'yung host or emcee, alam niya 'yung basics ng hosting at 'yung importance ng pag-engage ng audience or guests sa mga sinasabi niya. He should know na hindi dapat pumunta sa mga sobrang personal na mga bagay na when hosting a wedding reception. There are times kasi na 'yung host, since kakilala niya 'yung couple, parang ini-inject na niya 'yung sarili niya into the equation, which can lead to something similar doon sa na-experience mo. Which brings us back to what I said na importante pa rin ang experienced and knowledgeable ang close friend-host na kukunin ng isang couple. I attended a wedding na 'yung nag-host ng reception program ay close friend/co-worker ng couple. She's done a lot of hosting jobs in the past, kaya nakuha niya ang attention ng guests without injecting too many personal tidbits sa spiels niya. 'Yung tama lang na makaka-relate lahat ng tao. So, depends talaga sa host 'yon.

darlene is our wedding reception host last june 2015.. and my moh booked her few weeks thereafter for her wedding in jan. 2017 after seeing how good she was.

thanks for the input belle_v2g:) darlene makes classy hosting nga. but hindi ba siya pushy na maging "game" ento members? kinda noticed it sa videos.

who here got jc alelis naman? ive seen some of his videos and nagttaglish siya? if male host, gosh i want atom ungson sana kaso pricey:(

^darlene will give the couple the option on how they want to present their entourage during the reception. since we chose to introduce them through a dance showdown bet the bridesmaids and groomsmen, it is the couple's responsibility to notify the ento members in advance. that's what we did kaya di na nasurprise ento ko. Saka game kasi sila, i've mentioned here before na i've chosen the best ento members--walang pa-artista effect sa kanila.

Can anyone recommend someone at par with DTS? We need someone with good english diction and grammar in particular because we have foreign guests. Price range around 8-10k.

My OTD coord also recommends getting radio DJs so that at least I can hear them talk during their shows. Not sure if that's a good tip or not.
