Be wise sa pera mga girls. I know it is a once in a lifetime experience. Pero gaano katagal nyo ba inipon ang pera nyo to just drain it in a one day wedding? Baka yung iba dyan. todo gastos para bongga sa mata ng iba at mga payabang sa social media in a day or two, wala na sa isip yan ng mga gusto nyong pagyabangan. Nagpakasal ng sobrang mahal pero wala pa palang sariling bahay, emergency fund, personal savings etc.

Always remember that it is about the marriage and not just about the wedding.

Got married last 2017, from 500k budget umabot 700k + minimoon sa Shangri La Boracay and OFW kami so expenses for our monthlong vacation kaya 1m pa din talaga total damage. Pero SUPER no regrets, our wedding was beautiful and by far the happiest day of our lives. Worth it lahat ng gastos and effort.

After seeing Iza Calzado's wedding, decided na talaga kami mag renew ng vows someday tapos sa beach naman kami, and I swear kuhain ko na si Bob Nicolas as our Videographer haha! Ganda ng wedding nya.

hi brides-to-be, our budget is very limited pero since very OC ako yet gusto ko ng maayos and magandang setup without having to pull so much from the savings.


our budget is only 300k yet, (100k from groom's family, 100k from my family and 100k ours)

- our church is fixed to 50k, non negotiable.  got the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Alabang Hills

- our photo and video is 40K (with complete set aerials, pre-nup - ang wala lang is wedding album.  with background checking pang nangyari - i had to talk to a bride na kumuha ng service nila, and sabi nya very professional - wag na wag daw akong kukuha sa ALL IN PACKAGE. yan [textspeak!] naging mali daw nya. sobrang kawawang bride kaya natakot ako.

- our venue is 16k (yes, matched with our filipiniana theme)

- caterer is Queensland (after thorough discussion with groom, and computed HIDDEN CHARGES - literal na nagcompute ako kung magkano magiging total package)

- bridal suite and preparation - extra discount his groom's brothers and sister-in-law is from Hotel Industry. 30% discount din  considering 5 star from Alabang

- entourage gowns - some 50% from us and some 100% cost free. our friends will shoulder their own gowns and barong. infinity dresses is the key haha and barong

- we made our entourage members/sponsors more flexible and practical. some of our guest - will take part as offerors in church. so that way d na kami ang mag shoshoulder and asked them na un ang maging gift na nila saken for our wedding. thankfully naintindihan nila.

cake is 3,500-4,000 only - 3 layers - 2 styro 1 edible, - secret is dun kame kumuha sa mga experienced cake bakers from groups. 300% ultimate selection and 200% background and history check without their knowledge.

coordinator - 9,00 OTD. fortunately yan na [textspeak!] cheapest from our common friend - no we didn't asked for discount our church has in-house full coordinator, our caterer has food coordinator na din.

sana hindi na sumobra sa 300k [textspeak!] budget namin. hehe. so far yan palang meron kami for our December 2019 wedding.

2020 (3Q) bride here

H2b and I agreed on a 500k budget. Both of us are OFWs, btw. Our target number of guests is 150.

So far, majority ng budget will go to the reception + caterer, etc package. We chose Sitio Elena and Hizon's for the catering. The package costs around 280k includes Hizon's classic decorations, 3-layered cake (not sure kung all layers are consumable), lights & sounds, LCD projector.
Wala ako chineck na ibang reception cos I really like the feel ng Sitio Elena.

Next is the photo & video, I'm eyeing for Project JOCES. (35k)
We estimated our accommodation for 30k
OTD Coord: Events by Thoffy but not yet confirmed (20k)
Elarz lechon (lol): H2b wants atleast 3 lechons haha (approx. 20k)
My gown: estimate 20k (will look for RTWs)
Grooms: we budget 5k for his barong
Flower bouquets: Hindi ko sure kung realistic ito pero I'm thinking of buying flowers (Dangwa?) and we just ribbon it ourselves. We budget 10k.
Church: around 8k (we booked Parish of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Emcee: eyeing for Froilan Calo (7k) pero di ko pa rin sure kung kelangan nga ba namin professional host since gusto namin simple lang sa reception.

Initial budget namin is at 450k, ngayon nasa 630k+ to think 1 year to go pa. Not included pa ang honeymoon, ento dresses, PS and ento gifts, nice-to-haves like LED wall etc. Will really try not to go over 700k. Ceiling na namin 'yun.

I will admit kaartehan na lang 'yung iba kaya rin lumobo budget namin. Gusto na 'ko batukan ni h2b.

in our case it's the extra guests from parents that are adding up to the cost, and we're about to meet out budget limit na. I was hoping to have a 20k buffer sana a month before for incidentals (we're still 3 months away)

^ Haha the small expenses really add up. Requirements pa lang parang naka 7k na kami, wedding banns 1k each and we need three, offertory items including bible inabot 2k, 'yung mga ganon, not including pa gas and food tuwing may kailangan kami ayusin.

Baka mag-allot din kami about 30k-50k (depending on what we can spare lol) for incidental expenses on the day. Hopefully hindi maubos.

I really wanted a simple wedding and I want to splurge more on the honeymoon rather than the wedding since my fiance and I both love to travel. Hopefully we can cut down some costs haha.

In our case, I realized that majority of our costs were driven by our guest count. Parang, half would be reduced if we really considered only those who are close to us. So for those considering their budgets at this time, I suggest plan your guest list very carefully.

Hi, didn't know if this thread is still active but I would like to ask if you guys experienced attending a single-venue wedding?

My fiance and I are planning to tie the knot in the last quarter of 2020 and started to plan everything early. Due to religious differences, H2B and I decided to have a civil ceremony outdoor just to have a normal entourage without the religious touch. To save money and guests from the hassle of traveling to a different venue after the ceremony, I am thinking of just doing the reception at the same place since the ceremony can be done in less than an hour.

Initial budget namin for this wedding is 350k for less than a hundred guests since we really wanted the wedding to be intimate.

Please share your thoughts/experience if this setup is possible with our initial budget. Thanks!

I allocated a low budget for my wedding, but since my fianc? is from abroad, he wants us to get married there first. So far just for the food alone it would cost us around 150k pesos just for 20 people Hay, I wish we could just get married here.

Yes, its possible. I'm currently planning our church wedding for July 27. So far 620 palang nagagastos ko for cake toppers hahaha although, nakausap na namin church, reception venu and caterers. All in all nasa 46k expected expenses namin pero mukhang kulang budget sa iba. But I'm strict na hindi magexceed sa 50k. Kung need magbawas ng bisita, then so be it.

Hi sis! Also booked the package with Sitio Elena, which I think will save us time. We haven't decided pa with the catering since we have enought time pa naman (4Q 2020). There's a scheduled wedding when we went there for ocular and maganda yung set-up, even their basic lights set-up so lalo akong naexcite. They also offered me yung new hall since may nakabook na sa grand hall nila.
