How much is your wedding budget? Part 7

Ok lang yan as long as di kayo nagkakanda utang utang for the wedding. Ilan guests yan? Baka super super top notch suppliers mo? Sobrang ganda I'm sure ng kalalabasan ng wedding ninyo.

I'm grateful for my coord for helping me control the budget. Besides haggling on my behalf, she also tells me kung ano yung reasonable price for things kasi wala naman akong alam. For example, the event stylist originally quoted me 75k. I thought that was cheap kasi things are generally more expensive in Manila. 60k lang pala dapat ang price nun in Bohol.

Di din ako naniniwala sa "this only happens once." This is H2B's second marriage. I'm not thinking we would end up in divorce, pero there's a lot of things that come after marriage that we need to save up for kids and owning your home, saving up for investments, retirement.

^You're right sis. We want to surprise our families, kaya pinaghandaan namin to. Ang alam lang ng families namin ay yun venue and their couturier, the rest secret na    It's for 150 guests, pero mukhang magballoon pa to 170, hoping na may mga humindi sa mga original na inimbita namin 
we have some non-negotiable suppliers then add ons and upgrades kaya nagway over budget . I'll share soon my suppliers if complete na sa other thread.   

Dapat nga kumuha na lang kami ng full coord, baka may nahaggle din sana kami kahit pano.

I had my civil wedding 2 years ago, pero it was so simple and hubby's family wasn't even there kaya babawi kami this time.

Ang sakit sa bangs pag budget ang usapan. Hahaha!!! Nako kami di ko na alam san papunta Di na nga namin na-include yung legal papers sa budget. Na-include niyo ba yun? Lost track din kami sa gas, transpo, food expenses pag may meeting. Or I guess di na yun iinclude pa? I'm still undecided din sa gift ko kay h2b since ayaw na niya mag gift, after na lang daw!

Bukod sa food/reception, ano biggest splurge niyo pa sa wedding?

Ako din I have a lot of expenses that I didn't keep track of. If I include everything, we're probably closer to 850k.

Pero really, lahat ng suppliers namin tipid na. P/V was only 68k, event stylist (incl flowers, set up for church and reception) 60k. Di ko na sure kung ano pa kailangan tipirin.

Ang malaking damage I think is airfare and accomodation. Kasi we paid for airfare to Manila (55k for 3 pax), airfare to Bohol (TBA), then hotels in Bohol (45k).

Oh shoot meron pa nga pala bride and groom's gift. Haven't thought of this yet, rule lang namin something useful.

Biggest splurge macoconsider ko is gown ko since ako lang makikinabang, the rest of the suppliers naman both namin gusto at pakikinabangan.

Ang tinipid namin is cake, di na kami ngupgrade. 🙂

Sis maedonnas Sis super mahal ba ng gown mo? Pero you know what ok lang na maganda yung gown kasi yun talaga ang laman ng wedding photos eh! At kadalasan yun ang tinitignan.

Sis LilaFowler Grabe sis nakamura ka nga ng slight sa suppliers mo pero ang mahal super ng pamasahe and accommodation! Sa totoo lang can't really imagine the struggles of an overseas couple! Tapos OOT wedding.. But I know GOd will provide. Good thing na lang din mas mabilis makaipon pag overseas kasi mas malaki earnings compared here.   And madami pa naman blessing ang dadating, for sure!

Di na din masama yung additional na expenses in Bohol. Kasi even if we had the wedding in Manila, we'll still stay in a hotel before and after the wedding. So we will probably still incur similar expenses.

^ Sis for sure pag ininclude mo pa yan mas lalung masakit sa bangs hahaha! But that's alright sis as long as kaya pa naman yung expenses and part din kasi talaga yan kaya wala din choice! Just enjoy the planning kasi mamimiss natin ito!

Nababaliw ako pagnakikita ko ang excel file namin hahahaha!!! Initial budget is 600k, now we are up to 710k for a provincial wedding! Mabibigla siguro parents ko pagnalaman nila. hahaha! That's for 200-220 guests though. And we paid off almost 15% of that budget to suppliers. Half of the budget went to P/V, Rings and my wedding gown, so that's our splurges. Yung half everything else na. hahaha.That does not include the honeymoon too. We'll use our xmas bonus for the honeymoon kasi december naman kami punta. Hahaha.

Like sis maedonnas si h2b din nagecourage sakin sa gown designer ko. I was looking for low range suppliers pero sabi niya si Mel nalang daw kasi halatang siya talaga gusto ko. Siya yung nagsasabi na "once in a lifetime" lang daw although we plan on renewing our vows in the hehe

I plan to sell everything after the wedding. Shoes gown etc. I have no plans of keeping anything.

Hmmmm baka yung gown nga pwede ko din ibenta na lang! Shoes baka hindi, planning to use them sa mga wedding na aattendan ko para di sayang

Sis MS_JanDel ok na yan for 200-220 guests tapos OOT pa! Medyo mahal na pala ang Niceprint noh? No idea ako how much sila pero mukhang mahal na din. I agree magugulat talaga ang parents sa presyo ng kasal nowadays! Kasi baka i-compare nila sa presyo ng kasal nila hahaha! Kami din not included yung honeymoon kasi di namin alam san kami pupunta kaya ang focus namin talaga right now yung kasal.

Gusto ko pinaguusapan yung budget kasi na-aamaze ako.. Biruin niyo kinaya natin maka-save ng ganung kalaking amount? Akala ko din nung una mahihirapan kami pero God really is a great provider! Halos lahat kami talaga ang nag ipon at magbabayad, yung iba na kilala ko super swerte kasi dami nag vovolunteer sa kanila. I guess this is another God's way to prove to us na kaya naman natin basta wag lang sobra-sobra. Mahirap lang din paminsan because we have to let go of the "wants" na kung tutuusin are very impractical and sometimes di naman nagmamatter!

Ako natutunan ko basta happy kayo and kaya naman ng budget, go for it! It is truly once in a lifetime and kaya naman ma-earn ulit. Ang money talaga kaya pagipunan kung gugustuhin! Pero always remember din na dapat pinagiisipan at pinagpplanunhan yung mga pagkakagastusan sa wedding, di yung basta na lang kahit alam natin sa bandang huli useless pala.

Me, i'm not selling anything. I read an article na yung bride ginamit niya yung original gown niya during renewal of vows nila, so baka pwede ko pa magamit. hahaha. The shoes I can use then during special occasions and yung mga DIY naman ibibigay na namin dun sa caterer namin na family friend. hehe.

^Sis kdramaholic mahal na din ang NP, tapos plus airfares and accom pa yun. True sis grabe yung budgets natin at ang galing natin na kaya natin magipon. Actually some of our money ininvest namin sa stock market and thankfully doubled na yung andun. May kulang pa kami since real-time saving but we still got 8months. Tama ka sis, God will provide talaga kahit ang daming problema na dumadating infairnesss nakakaipon naman kami. hahaha

grabe. nakakalula ang mga wedding budget nyo sisters. you guys are really blessed to earn that much money. tama, as long as happy ang bride and groom, at the end of the day, i know it's all worth it.

but my challenge to myself is to really stick to our budget - not more than half a million esp now na we are thinking to have 2 weddings - civil and church.

I don't think I would fit in my wedding dress in 5 or 10 years. Also, di na appropriate for a 40 year old to wear a strapless dress haha.

I wish nga I can find brides who want to sell din. Kasi I would be interested in buying. Things like robes, veil, cord etc.

Kami din over budget na nasa 1.2 na for 100 guest only but we have chosen this as to target simple and elegant. Nagover kami ng 100K from previous budget wala pa yung honeymoon. Anyway baka later part of 2017 nalang honeymoon namin.

Im planning to have my gown kept and reuse it for my baby's christening. Ipapaalter ko siya, i saw it somewhere parang twinning yung wedding gown ng mommy and baby.

Bukod sa food/reception, ano biggest splurge niyo pa sa wedding?

Ours was the coord, kasi we had to get full coordination since I'm overseas. I guess sulit naman because she does get better rates (I am horrible at haggling). And then hotel expenses din for the family.

I kept my dress and shoes out of our wedding budget para di ma-stress my fiancé sa cost :p. Although I ended up not splurging too much naman on my dress as I initially thought.

I also did not include my flights back home sa budget because I have mobility allowance from my company. Pero if ever I didn't that would be one of the major expenses din.

We didn't include transpo expense, legal docs, and other miscellaneous expense on the wedding budget. As for the expense, we keep it to ourselves lang din, hindi involved yung parents. Sana masurprise din sila hehe

Tama din yung mga sis natin dito. Not to the point na magkakautang kasi pangit naman yung ikakasal ka pero mangungutang ka naman ng pangkasal. Dapat more than the wedding, we should prepare for the marriage. Kaya dapat mas malaking budget ang ititira for the future lalo pag makakaroon agad ng kids. ☺️
