^ I think it's just knowing when to scrimp and when to splurge. Like for example with wedding cakes you don't need a 10 tier cake. Pero with food you should splurge because guests will notice if the food is not good.

Don't be one of those people na ang ganda ng gown pero kulang food for guests kasi naubos na yung budget.

^Tama sis! Pero nakakatawa na yung gastos ko as gown and catering eh almost the same lang.Nakakaguilty Hahahah!! 350/head is actually mahal na sa province namin. So for 220 heads, that just around 77,000 php. And that already includes simple dessert and finger foods. So I planned to add 3 pcs of lechon nalang para at least marami ulam. Lechon in our province only costs 6000/pc.

So yes the wedding expenses really depends on the couple. What do you want to splurge on, what do you not want to. Do you like to have many guests or do you like an intimate wedding.It all depends. Dapat lang nagagree kayong dalawa para smooth sailing ang planning. ^_^

^oo nga sis! Over na kasi kung 500 per head, mahal na yun sa amin especially na I will DIY our table centerpieces and will shoulder the string lights.

^ Yup sis never ever tipirin ang food tapos ang bongga ng styling or gown! Kaya as early as now talaga kinakarir namin sa food kahit undecided pa kami sa cocktails. Basta dapat lahat busog at masaya!

Sabi nga ng mom ko, walang makaka alala kung ano suot mo or gaano kaganda yung flowers, ang maalala ng guest is masarap na pagkain and entertained sila.

True--- food and drinks are the most important!! The flowers, people do notice but it won't make or break your wedding. The gown is a bit more important only because all your pictures will be taken of you in that one outfit hehe. 

I am happy with my photos and videos-- esp the photos. But sometimes I can't help but wonder what if I skipped all the frills and just hired the super top photographers and videographers?

One thing is for sure though- the strings/choir/band isn't important at all. Sobrang add-on lang talaga. I mean our guests said that the singers and strings were really good. But I am sure they would have been happy too if I didn't have live music. No one would even notice that. This was the most unnecessary expense we had aside from all the extra lights and sounds upgrade. No need talaga--- dapat I got lang the cheapest I could find.

does anyone here had a budget of 150k for a simple but elegant wedding? we want to stick on out budget talaga, so we still have a budget after the wedding, mahirap naman mabaon sa utang. our wedding will be on sept. 2017 pa naman, so for now nagcacanvass na kami para sa reception venue and caterers, sa food naman, may mga sumagot na na friends namin, they will give two lechon daw. hehe. anny suggestion sisies? thank you! Sis nhie, how many guests do you intend to invite? Kung small group like 30 guests keri gawin sort of elegant pero pag big, kulang yan 150k sigurado. Depende din sa standard of elegance mo sis.

At dahil sa mga suggestions dito, hindi na ako maguupgrade ng strings. Okay na siguro ang 3hrs na strings ko. And friend ko na lang na singer. Do you guys have any recommendation ng murang LED wall, I'm sure this is one of the things na hindi naman masyado mapapansin.

^Super agree sis! My friend din akong umattend ng wedding na super ganda ng kasal pero super nagutom ang guests kasi late na sila kumaen. So dapat huwag din kalimutan ang cocktails or small snacks if you think matagal ang picture taking.If you have money to spare on prizes sa game, dapat meron din sa light snacks.

sis kdramaholic true sis! Pero may downside, kasi may mga bagay na makukuwa mo lang pag andito ka sa city although mga "wants" lang naman yun. Like nice bridal car, stylists, professional emcees good coordinators. Ganun! It will break the budget kung mag-fly in ako kaya I have to be happy of what's there na.

sis nhie 150k is a bit small but doable if you have a really small number of guests and it depends din kung saan yung venue ng wedding.

re sa mga nagugutom na guests kasi late kumain. i think factor kasi na magkalayo ang church and reception? hmmm. kaya ako i am thinking na same place nalang yung church and reception. napansin ko din kasi na sa wedding ng cousin ko, since same place lang din less hassle para sa mga bisita yung pagbyahe esp sa mga walang private vehicles.

re 150k budget agree ako that you have to have a really small number of guests. but that's a good thing for brides and grooms na gusto ng intimate wedding. hoping ako to squeeze our visitors to less than 100. sana kayanin.

^ Our wedding will have a 3 hour gap in between the ceremony and the reception. May pa-merienda kami after the ceremony pero I really don't want to do cocktails/canapes before the reception. Destination wedding naman kami so pwede bumalik sa hotel yung ibang bisita. Also, naka specify sa invitation that reception starts at 6pm.

@ms_jandel i know what you mean by being limited with suppliers. Nahirapan ako maghanap ng photographer kasi limited ang choices. Also, I can't have a string quartet kasi kailangan pa from Cebu, wala sa Bohol.
Magiging too expensive to transport them kaya no na lang.

Chili1113 Agree! Actually, food yung big chunk ng budget namin. Ayoko kasi makarinig sa mga guests na hindi sila nasayahan sa food sa wedding ko. Hahaha. I know it's our special day, pero for me, dapat bigyan din sila ng pansin kasi food lang yata yung pinakamaalala nila sa lahat. Hahaha!

MS_JanDel sis, ganyan din sa province namin! Malaki na yung 400/plate, baka ilang dishes na yun! Iba talaga yung matitipid pag hindi sa MM/Tagaytay area. Although may iilang downside din naman.

kaitlynmischa - naghahanap din ako ng murang LED wall. Kasi 25k yung nakita ko sa Metrotech. Wala sa budget namin to eh. Hahaha. Kaya nagiisip talaga ko kung kukuha pa ko.

^^ it's good sis na nakaspecify naman pala sa invitation nyo yung start ng reception. also, it's good na may pa merienda naman so hindi sila magugutom hehe. however, for me lang ah, tingin ko may mga magiging bisita pa din ako na BAKA hindi makaintindi na i will have 3hours gap, so baka di applicable sakin yan. anyway, if 1hr gap without pamerienda or what, enough na ba? 1hr to prep the bride and groom with picture taking after ng ceremony sa church? or matagal yun?

^rent ba sis yung 25k na LED wall? ang mahal pala. hehe.

^ My guests are used to a big gap between weddings. Most weddings in Australia have a gap in between to give time for the couple to take photos.

For me, 1 hour is not enough to take photos. Are you going to a different location or same location as the ceremony/reception for the photos? You have to remember you will be doing photos with family and the bridal party then photos of the two of you. Plus some videos malamang pa. I think 2 hours is safe.

Para san ba yung LED wall. Must have ba yan? Is it just to display photos/video during the reception? Is that suitable for outdoor reception?

Sis pretty_B sa Northern Samar ang province namin, somewhere in Visayas. That's my province sis!
Yes sis as much as possible hindi ganun kalayo yung reception from church. Kung malayo man dapat pagdating palang ng guests my snack na agad.
Regarding LED wall, hindi naman siya must-have for me. So depende yun sis kung gusto mo talaga ng led wall. yung iba kasi yung Led wall nila yun na din ang couple backdrop nila. Ako kasi sis okay na sa projector and we don't need couple backdrop kasi sa beach kami, so the water itself is our backdrop.

Sis LilaFowlersis sa OOT fee and airfare/accom ka mapapamahal pagkumuwa from outside na suppliers. Yun ang downside. Sad but ganun talaga.

Sis cc1818 TRUE sis! Malaki matitipid sa food although meron din suppliers na mas mahal dun compared sa city example are florists/stylist since sa Manila din naman sila mainly kukuwa ng flowers.

Siguro yung LED wall may binabagayan na venue Parang pag Beach at Garden di bagay (For me lang naman) Kami mag projector lang kami may requirement nga lang na 5000 ANSI Unlike pag LED wall wala na requirement sa ANSI.
