How much is your wedding budget? Part 7

Initial budget is 500K, but when we decided to get our dream venue, it shoot up to 600k, now 5 mos. before the wedding, a fair estimate is 750k to 800k max. 

Mahal na din talaga ang manila weddings or I think it will depend upon the priorities, preferences and wants of the couple. When friends ask me na gusto na din magpakasal, I always tell them at least 500k.

^ Sis halos same tayo ng gastos!!! Waaaaaah!!! To think yung venue namin ay di yun yung talagang gusto namin kasi naubusan kami pero happy na din naman kami Gosh!!! Ang mahal talagang ikasal! Tama ka sis nasa preference ng couple kung ano yung gagastusan at titipirin.

^ I think it's cheaper. Eto na so far and sure na na gastos namin:

Venue + catering is P2k per head. (Beach resort venue, buffet dinner)
Church is 11k (no aircon)
Full service wedding coord is 35k
Event stylist/florist is 60k (church + reception + bouquet)
Video - 45k
Photo is free - pero we will pay for accomodation, flights and food
Beachfront suite for preps - 13k each x 2 (80sqm)
HMUA - 12.5k for 15 pax + 7k for airbrush
Wedding gown - 60k (RTW)
Choir - 10k (organist + singers)
Bridesmaids dresses - 11.5k for 4 (2.9k each RTW)

Di naman sobrang tipid and di din all out sa gastos. As I mentioned previously, may set financial goals kami ni H2B kaya alalay sa spending.

Kaya nga ang dami nagveventure sa wedding industry kasi parang ang laki ng income! Halos every year pa nagmamahal yung suppliers lalu na yung popular ones!

Sis LilaFowler parang mas cheaper nga! Last December I attended a wedding in Bohol super nice talaga nung wedding with Fireworks pa and most of the suppliers tiga Bohol din. Nasa 700k yung nagastos nila.

MAHAL na talaga mga sis! Unang budget namin 600k, akala namin engrandeng prov'l wedding na kami. Eh ngaun 700k pero tinipid pa din. Gusto ko na din pumasok sa wedding industry mga sis, malaki kita.. hahahahaha..

Napaka arbitrary ng pricing. Yung event stylist namin quoted us 75k initially, 3 months after, naging 60k na lang. Same pegs ha. The only reason it's cheaper is I didn't contact him directly. So di nya alam na overseas ako.

^Go sis! Very creative ka naman at maganda yung design mo. I'm sure maraming kukuwa sayo kahit sideline mo lang. Yung friend ko na gagawa ng invites ko ganun eh. 

Sometimes mas mahal talaga pagalam nilang overseas sis!

August 2017 bride 150 pax, Manila. initially our budget was set to 500k, pero based sa mga nabook na major suppliers (all booked na din halos except for music, lights and sounds, wedding gown, ring) parang magiging max 700k.

May ma-re-recommend ba kayong makukuhanan ng affordable wedding packages?
Wala kasi kami both time to meet different kinds of suppliers etc kaya package ang hinahanap namin.

Besides, small wedding lang naman ang gusto namin with small entourage etc.

^hi sis. Try to join Wedding Suppliers Philipines fb group. There are suppliers who offer budget wedding package. Madami nagpopost dun. Hope this helps. ☺️

^^ l'm in a similar situation. If you have a full service planner or even an OTD planner, they can probably give you a list of the suppliers that they work with and within your budget.

I went home just to check out the church,  venue and sit down with my wedding planner. She gave me a list of her recommended suppliers within my budget. For major suppliers, I look at their portfolio, if I like it I tell the coord to book. For minor suppliers, I just tell her to book them for me. I deposit the money in her bank account, she gives me a receipt.

Saves me the headache of individually talking to suppliers and also some suppliers take advantage if they know you're overseas.

^that's a pretty decent price sis! Doable naman pa rin pala wedding sa ganyang price range.

Yes, weddings can also be very affordable. Napapamahal lang because yun yung pinili ng couple.

Yes, I think wedding expense really depends sa choices ng couple. Some may opt to have their non-nego suppliers na mahal talaga, some naman eh affordable pero may quality. I think kanya kanya ng paniniwala lang yan sa kung anong gusto mong mangyari.

Super naaamaze ako dun sa kaya magbudget ng 300-500k for their wedding. Kaso minsan pag may nakikita ako na gusto ko, napapabook talaga ko ng mas mahal. Ang iniisip ko kasi "once lang naman to mangyayari, so todo na." Pero yung iba naman, ang nasa isip din is "once lang naman to mangyayari, once lang din magagamit, blah blah, so okay na tayo sa ganitong price."

I think important thing na lang is yung hindi ka mapupunta sa utang dahil lang lakas gumastos sa wedding expenses, at dapat may budget pa rin for post-marriage life. =)

^Agreed. It really depends on the couple if they want to scrimp or splurge to a specific supplier. Minimal wedding expense is possible naman kasi there are affordable suppliers. Whether it is an extravagant or simple wedding, ang importante yun yung swak sa couple. And of course the important thing is to spend within your means.

on this one, thankful ako kay h2b kasi he always remind me to stick with our budget. medyo lumagpas na kame pero konti lang.

siguro dagdag factor na din na even before we started booking suppliers alam na naming yung type of wedding that we want. saka as much as possible we don't go to bridal fairs kasi ang daming temptation dun. hahaha we'll only go to one this November to catch a good deal for the invitations
