I just had my pictorial at Wawa Dam. The fiance warned me that there is a 15-minute walk from the parking lot to the dam itself but nobody warned me that it was an almost 30-minute hike (exag yata ako but haha)! Napakadami naming dala (food for everyone, water, damit, guitar, shoes...)
It was everybody's first time (although our photographer, JR, already went there for a biking trip, and the fiance for a roadtrip). I think nagulat lahat kasi ang ganda ng lugar. Nature talaga. Sobrang naexcite ni Jerome (of InDemand Wedding Films) and JR (of Rule of Thirds) because of so many places to shoot.
Permit is just P500. Cottages at P150. Beware of extremely masungit cottage owners who do not own the land where their cottages are built on.
Mahirap palang maging artista. My whole body hurt 3 days after the whole-day shoot (one of the longest they've done, they said) because of the hike, the rock-climbing, the pagtawid sa rumaragasang ilog, pag-akyat sa observatory deck, pag-cross sa sira-sirang hanging bridges, at kung ano ano pa.
All worth it. Preview palang ng picture ni JR, sobrang panalo na. I can't wait for the Save the Date video and the prenup photos!!
Tips na sana eh nalaman ko dati (at mga ibang nagawa naman namin):
1. Magdala ng extra helping hand. Sobrang thankful ko na ang MUA and hair stylist ko eh sobrang game.
2. Bring a BIG bag if the locations are remote and would require you to hike. Tipong tambak nalang ng tambak tapos hindi mahirap bitbitin from one location to another.
3. Bring a malong (yung pwede kang sumuot sa loob). Buti nagdala ako nito. It will allow you to change clothes even in the middle of the forest.
4. Bring extra clothes. Wag lang yun mismong isusuot mo talaga for the shoot.
5. Wear clothes that stand out. In my case, the fiance said na red nalang yun isa kong dress para daw stand out kasi Wawa Dam was all green with white boulders/rocks. Ayun. Achieve.
6. Have fun!! Legit na legit lahat ng tawa at ngiti namin (I think) dahil walang tigil ang tawanan namin (sobrang awkward na mga 2 mins kayong magka nose-to-nose or noo to noo..but kebs)
ON clothes
1. FIT everything before hand. I had a flowy gown naw pinatahi ko, mura lang naman like 1200 sa eBay for a flowy chiffon dress pero ang pangit nun dumating sa akin, not flowy at all kasi tinipid sa tela. Mom had it altered and pinalitan yun chiffon para maganda pag hinangin.
2. Similar to #2, yun casual outfit namin naging afterthought ko tuloy hindi ko man lang nakita anong itsura. Kasi yun orig plan ko hindi na pala kasya sakin. Dinala ko without fitting. Hayayay. Naging couple shirt + skater skirt tuloy ang labas.
3. Recycle yun una kong gown from a formal event. Di ako nagupload ng picture para achieve ulit.
Okay, ang haba na ng post ko. Haha. Wala kasing nag-warn na sobrang hirap pala mag-artista..este, mag pictorial.
