Hugs sis Chili and Missus O! I pray everything goes smoothly for your weddinsg and all the stress will be worth it!

Our wedding will be held in my province( of course!!!)

Kasi naooffend ako when they bring it up. I didn't ask them to pay anything and even give them the liberty what design they want but to get questions like that, I interpret it na gusto nila designer ganun.:( Nakakaiyak.

^ If i were in your case bridezilamnl, just tell them straight na ito ang budget for the gowns of the bridesmaids, then tell them na dun nyo gusto magpatahi kasi dun nyo afford. If they want to insist on their own designer, tell them na if they want, sila na lang magshoulder!

or if mabait ka, just tell them na sa wedding nalang nila sila magpatahi sa mga known designers :)

Again, your wedding, your rules! :)

Sis, yes my friends asked who was making their gowns. But I chose not to get offended by it because they were just asking and didn't comment naman. Baka naman sis they're just curious and sometimes it is their way of showing that they are excited for being part of the entourage by showing interest in their gowns. =)

Actually once lang I got offended and it was from my sister of all people. She said anf pangit daw ng quality ng gowns in the shop of the designer, sana daw I chose another designer nalang daw kasi expensive daw yung price for the quality. I told her off that time. But then again.... hahaha she was right!! I actually DID cancel my order with that supplier and moved to the one making my gown. Buti nalang kasi super sakit sa ulo the previous designer with the 3 dresses I ordered for my prenup. Ang pangit talaga ng quality, and so my sister was telling the truth naman talaga. t was the way she said it that annoyed me, and syempre we brides can be so sensitive hehe.

Hope you feel better!

^Awwwww sis!! I understand how you feel =( =( The comments do sound a little bit judgmental. I hope you feel better.

Sayang nga I was gonna get this girl who has super good designs. But her sewers are all the way in some market. Masinag Market ata. So I knew I would receive comments from my friends if they had to go all the way there (most are Makati based) tapos sa mananahi in shop near the market. She meets her clients in her house in St. Ignatius Village, but fitting is in the a shop near the market. Heheh sayang because believe it or not... a VERY famous designer with with initials J.L. who charges like 20k up per gown, actually outsources gowns from her. She doesn't charge high pa. Actually my mom is getting her gown from her.

But because I wanted to avoid comments and complaints about how far the fittings will be, I decided against it. =(

^ItsKat! I answer back naman na parang it didn't offend me. I tell them na depende sa budget eh. Tsaka my fault rin naman since I want all of them to be part since most of them are flying in/out of the country and they'll attend the wedding so parang thank you ko na. And I'm not confrontational kasi. Kaya siguro it's so hard on my part. They mentioned once before na I don't have to pay everything but since I know them and I would get comments like "eh no choice naman kami but to wear it" or "masyadong mahal" I'd rather shoulder it hoping not to hear anything. Well I guess I'm wrong! As what the couturier said, minsan mas demanding pa yun di nagbabayad. :(

^Chili! I know what you mean kaya whatever my plans are for them I "report" para I'm assured na ok. But I think they just really prefer a designer kasi when I told them I'm getting this designer na affordable pero North area (we're from South/Makati) okay lang. But when I said mananahi or department store brand, iffy na sila. Tapos when I say na this person na more expensive, they'll say naman "bongga naman ng wedding mo!"

It's driving me nuts! Nakakawalang gana to prepare. You don't even feel they're excited for you. Eh, I'm not one to ask help. Nothing din. Hahahahaha.:/

My daughter will be a flower girl on May kaso baby pa eh as in 1 year old pa lang and going 2 sa August. I am not going to demand for anything though kasi ang ikakasal naman is friend ng hubby ko. My consideration ko lang sana is huwag nilang lagyan ng make up yung bata and no spray nets since mabuhok daughter ko. Baby oil can do.

This is totally RIGHT dapat sila gumasta kung may demand sila.

But it's okay, its just part of the wedding preps challenges along the way.

Ako kasi some of girls are flying to Samar to attend to I told them I'll shoulder their gowns kasi gagastos sila sa pamasahe pero sabi ko sa mananahi dun samin ko papagawa kasi mahal sa Manila, okay naman sila. :(

Good luck on your preps sissies. Im sure your girls will understand  :)

In two weeks time, we are getting married! And i feel bad about my gown supplier. 🙄 I dont like the way they put the petticoat pero i have no choice  kasi freebies lang yun. So dahil freebies, ganoon na lang? They caused me a lot of headache especially when their assistant resigned (awol?) sa kanila, leaving me with the broken promises. (No prenup dress, no second gown, no 5 yards veil, all were freebies) She is the assistant assigned to me. Hoping na somehow, they will ease the pain i felt dahil afterall, its is still her name at stake, pero its a NO. still, no veil, no prenup dress, no second gown and the petticoat (the only consideration they gave me) is not nice. Kaya ending, bibili na lang kami sa divisoria to make it balloon. 😠 Good thing, divisoria girl ako so magagawan namin ng paraan ang gown. Just wait for my suppliers rating para malaman nyo who is she.

Goodluck to us! Positive vibes na lang. 😌

Nung time ko, I remember one of my bridesmaids sent me a photo nung complaint niya about her gown.  I was so stressed kasi she could directly contact naman the designer herself.  Lagdameo is not even cheap  ;D  Keep your cool ladies.

daeyen:  Try to meet half way with your designer.  He or she has to understand you but understand that the other person who went awol was the one who also went ahead and made promises.  If you don't mind, how much is the budget for the gown kaya?

hello, sharing my sama ng loob during wedding preps, actually 2 days before wedding ito. remember meron ata ako naikwento na din dito na meron akong friend na invite-yourself ang peg, aba akala ko pag hindi ko siya nirereplyan sa mga comments at pm niya saken ay titigil na siya at baka maisip niyang hindi siya invited, mali pala ako. ang kinulit naman niya ay yun isang friend namen na ininvite ko, hindi ko na kase sinabi sa mga common friends namen na hindi siya invited, i assumed na hindi naman kase niya kukulitin yun mga common friends namen pero i underestimated her. ang sabi pala daw niya ay sasabay na lang kay common friend papunta church at hindi ko pa daw siya binibigyan ng invitation, at dahil hindi alam ni common friend she replied na dumerecho na lang sa church and told her kung saan. buti na lang nun nagkita kame 2 days before wedding ay naikwento niya saken, imbyerna mode tuloy ako at hindi ako makapaniwala na ganon ang attitude ni invite-yourself friend, parang hindi alam ang wedding etiquette. sabi na lang ni common friend she will tell na mahigpit ang coord namen, she even received an rsvp text and strict talaga kame dahil limited lang sa friends ang nainvite namen dahil naubos na sa families namen ni hubby. pagdating tuloy namen hotel, harsh man or bad sa iba, i picked up the guts to message thru fb si invite-yourself friend na hindi ko na siya maaaccommodate sa wedding dahil full seats na, sinabi ko talaga yun, gusto ko pa nga sabihin sana na nao-offend ako sa pagiging makulit niya, na siya din naman ikinasal before at kaming mga friends niya were not aware of it pero baket ngayon ang persistent niya samen, pero hindi ko na ginawa ayaw ko ng humaba pa usapan, nagreply pa siya na she even bought gift na daw etc, pero binlock ko na sa pm sa fb dahil naiinis talaga ko. isa pa is kapag ininvite ko siya 3 seats din yun dahil kasama husband niya na hindi naman namen kilala plus their daughter, so hindi na talaga kaya. after wedding, nalaman ko na lang na sinabihan na lang daw ni common friend si invite-yourself friend na mahigpit ang coord at may rsvp baka magmukha lang siyang gate crasher dahil wala naman siya sa list.

so yun lang ang long story ko, ni-let go ko lang ito nun wedding day dahil ayokong masira ang araw, at isa lang naman siya marami ang mga good vibes nun araw na yun. until now usapan pa din namen siya ng mga common friends namen at naw-weirduhan kame sa attitude niya, though understandable na gusto niya to connect ulet samen, pero sana wag sa ganon paraan na nakukulitan kame sa kanya, lalo lang kame naiinis kase e.

thank you for reading  ;D

Yung first cousin ko na kinasal sa US sa ibang state siya kinasal so chances are air fare pa rin yun kung saan sila nakatira to another state kung saan yung kasal.

I'm sorry this offended you sis... pero I feel like since it's their wedding, they get to decide who attends and who doesn't. I don't believe that relatives should get VIP invites just because they are relatives.

Ito naman last year sa neighbor namin. Narinig rinig ko na they are planning to do their wedding sa Boracay so that means it is beach wedding. There were so many issues within the family, nagrereklamo yung siblings niya and their wives paano ba naman kasi siempre hindi naman sila libre ng air fare kundi sila ang gagastos then of course isama mo pa yung accommodations, eh siempre marami silang priority like yung education ng mga kids nila. I mean what the  ??? sarili niyang pamangkin tinatakwil niya? Tapos eh di nag attend na nga sila ng wedding sa Boracay and expected na that wedding is usually not a Catholic wedding. Hindi namin siya pinapansin dito because of her attitude and of course she is snobbish to us, so wala rin kaming pakialam sa kanya but we never expect na pati kapatid niya and parents she will do the same thing.

If the person is important to you, kahit san lupalop pa ang wedding niya, you will find a way to attend :) Kung di afford umattend sa destination wedding niya, then politely decline and wish them well. I honestly don't get how other people can put pressure sa couples na sagutin lahat ng expense just so they can attend. Kung di kaya then don't force it. Like I said, it's their special day and you should respect how they want to celebrate it :)

^ i think kasi its really part of the expense na sagutin mo lalo na yung sa immediate family mo. kahit pa alam mo namang can afford ng family mo, meron silang sarili diskarte at allotment sa pera nila. and if di kaya sagutin ang airfare, kahit accomodation na lang. ang panget naman na kayo lang ang relaxed sa wedding nyo, yung mga bisita nyo stressed out sa tutuluyan nila. yes it's the wedding for the couple so wag din nila ipressure yung family member nila na gumastos ng malaki maka-attend lang ng wedding nila. kasal naman nila yun so silang 2 lang naman ang importanteng andun. kahit wala na silang kasama sa wedding kasi wala silang sinagot na airfare/accomodation. at the end of the day, ang mahalaga, kinasal sila sa gusto nilang destination. kung ok lang naman din na makarinig sila ng puro nega comments sa kasal na in-attendan nila kasi nga napagastos lang at nastress sila, so be it. ang mahalaga, masaya yung couple. hehe

di naman din kailangan sagutin lahat, maski part lang. if they love you enough o talagang may extra sila, edi magagawan ng paraan. pero kung hindi kaya, then wag mamilit, wag mang-pressure at wag sasama ang loob. I think as a guest naman, up to you na kung gusto mo umattend. kaya lang naman nakakatipid mga couple sa destination wedding kasi mafi-filter out yung may mga extra para gumastos maka-attend lang ng wedding. -point is it's your wedding pero make sure everyone is comfy and happy to attend to your wedding. dapat happy ang couple, happy din ang guests. compromise

Sama ng loob ko during wedding preps was with some suppliers. :-X  One of them is now a very popular event stylist.  Sobrang tagal mag reply, and sobrang overpriced.  Since skill yan, I had no choice but to get him anyway. But sama ng loob was mainly with suppliers, not so much the relatives or other people.

Hi mga sissies.. long time lurker here. hehe

I just want to vent this out..

:'( :'( :'( stressful..

kakatipid namin, eto nangyari.. ayoko sya isuot kasi hindi talaga maganda..  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

So sorry to hear that sis.. Sino yung designer mo? If di mo kaya isuot, buy ka na lang ready to wear madami na ngayon magaganda :) You need to splurge a little talaga pag dating sa gown kasi yun ang isusuot mo buong araw, di naman need na mahal basta trusted designer. Kaya mo yan sis! :)
