^daycare is expensive. If we are to pay the full amount for full time daycare, it would be $1200. We receive subsidy from government so we pay like still half so medyo mahal pa din. However, I'm not sure what the process is kung gusto mo dalhin family mo if student visa. Sobrang mahal ata nun kasi you have to pay for insurance for the whole family tapos part time work lang ang pwede sayo. Most people I know, wait until they receive their PR before sponsoring the entire family.

^ang mahal naman ng day care ma yan Saan province? Kasi kami naka private learning day care ang anak ko but we only pay 360cad/month naka deduct na un discount from goverment. If public about 170/month kasi subsidized ng government. Pero if school day care mahal talaga.

^Yes nag aaral ako with part time job.

sa Alberta nasa 1K-1500/month ang full time daycare... my niece goes to one and 1200 sha sa Calgary, walang govt deduction but tax deductible lang

^May government subsidies din sa Alberta. But you have to apply and you have to meet hours requirement to get full funding ang syempre depende sa income level ng family. Tapos tax deductible din whatever you pay for the daycare. For those who are in higher brackets of income, mas mura ang mag-hire ng live in caregiver.

^yes need iaapply ang subsidized kapag private pero pag public no need dito lang siguro ganun. Bukod pa refund sa tax. Mas malaki naman ang sweldo sa Alberta and mas maliit ang tax.

We live in [textspeak!] where everything is expensive. Haha. We applied for the subsidy but I think we just filled out the forms and yung daycare na  yung nagsubmit sa ministry.

Upon checking the processing time ng Citizenship application, 5 months na lang nakalagay sa website nila!! Yay! Good news for us kasi balak namin umuwi ng pinas next year.

Hi sis, nakapag-apply na kayo? Ilang months processing time sa inyo?
Yung sa amin took 7months. Ang matagal yung wait time for the citizenship test, pero after a month, oath taking ceremony na. May kakilala kami mas matagal sa kanila I guess iba iba. Sana iupdate nila yung nakalagay sa website. Para hindi tayo masyado umasa...umasa ako eh lol! 😄
Pero yung application ng passport mabilis lang! After 1 wk, dineliver na sa bahay. I didnt even pay extra fees.

^Citizenship can take as long as couple of years, depending on the situation. My friend just got hers after years of following up. Always under further investigation ang sagot everytime she follows up. She's a girl with stable job, with no criminal record, nothing whatsoever that should give the government any reason to give red flags that she's a special case. So, hindi pala talaga sila nagga-grant basta ng citizenship. So best of luck sa citizenship nyo, hopefully it goes smooth as usual.

Thanks... yes, yung application namin smooth, thank god.
Grabe ang tagal nung sa friend mo. Buti naggrant na din after ilang years. Iba iba talaga.

I think less than one year yung sakin from application to oath taking. Marami din kasing nag-apply kaya matagal ang processing. If you have plans of going to Philippines, better hold on to your PR card na lang. I remember I was pregnant when I was eligible to apply (it was 4 years of PR at that time) so hinintay ko na lang manganak ako para walang hassle sa schedule if ever bigla akong bigyan ng sched for exam and oath taking.

Ang aga nag-snow this year!  Dito sa GTA, early November and in other area and provinces mas maaga pa! Grabe... buti this past week tumaas ulit yung  temperature. 
Nung naging 6C parang nainitan na ako eh LOL

Happy Canada Day mga sis! Super grateful to be living here in Canada, Lalo na ngayong Covid crisis. Haha. But seriously though, the crisis is really a test on how governments perform and I am truly blessed and proud to be a Canadian.
