sisses, our PR has just been approved. so moving to canada  for good next year. mag initial entry muna kami as we were caught by suprise sa timing ng approval and given 3 months lang to make an entry.

if you can DIY your application mas ok kesa mag agency. nasa CIC website naman lahat ng info need lang magbasa basa talaga.

thanks sis! yes sis PNP kami. na draw kami sa CIC june 2016 tapos COPR nitong april lang.  mag expire na medical namin in July kaya yung visa namin for entry til July nalang talaga. medyo matagal na nga yung samin kase i know someone na nov 2016 na-draw march 2017 passport request na sila.

^Sang province kayo na-nominate? Ako magpare-assess ulit ng education kasi mas mababa daw standards ng IQAS compared sa WES. Sayang nga daming time nasayang kasi hindi ako makapag-apply under PNP kasi kulang points ko. Hope favorable result from IQAS will give equiavlent to 3-year education in CA para makapag-apply ako sa Saskatchewan.

^ sis, Saska kami. Si hubby ang principal applicant NOC 2171 sya. sa WES sya nagpa-assess din. yung sa PNP unahan din kase ang pag apply dun like mag open lang sila 500 slots so kung sino ang mauna makasubmit at nareach na quota isasara na nila kahit yung 500 na yun di pa talaga qualified at i-assess pa nila. i remember na inaantay lang namin i-click yung submit button para mauna kami sa submission pero uploaded na lahat ng docs. good luck sis!

Thank you sis @carecare will renew our passport pa naman amd then take the ielts. So mejo matagal pa ata kami.

We considered Canada but decided New Zealand is better for us. Hindi namin kakayanin ang weather sa Canada. several of my relatives live there, we also have relatives in the US and New Zealand, Singapore and Australia...so we had a lot of options. Although my brother might consider Canada in the future.

sis, check the details for the tax (if you intend to work after making your entry) and also the insurance.  i have a friend who did this entry and alam ko nagka problem siya pagbalik.  hindi ko na nakamusta pero alam ko taxable na sa canada yung income niya from the time you enter.  and you cannot get the health care unless you are in the country for  a certain amount of time.

sis, how will you know na 3 yr equivalent ang education? if equal ba sa 6 semesters meaning 3 years yun?

Usually pag 4-year degree sa pnas is 3-year ang equivalent sa IQAS ang based din sa research ko na mas mataas magbigay ang IQAS unlike WES na mas mataas ang standard.

If equal to 6 semesters meaning 3-year course sa Pnas, most likely 2-year and equivalent nyan sa IQAS. I'm just guessing though, not 100% sure.

^Oh really! That I don't know. When I had my assessment done from WES, ang nakalagay kasi sa outcome is 2-year equivalent sa Canadian education standard, hindi by number of semesters. Sa IQAS ka ba?

If 2 semesters per year ang college/university sa Canada then I think 3 years yan.

hi sissies - will highly appreciate your opinion on my current situation...

I've been wanting to immigrate to Canada since andun ang sister ko and her family and currently my father is also there on his tourist visa. But im still here in the US and will return to PH this coming June with my husband. Gusto ko na sana magstart ng application for CIC immigration kaso i have this contract with my PH employer that i need to render them 2yrs of service pa. So maffree lang ako from my employer by late 2019. Question ko lang is - dapat ba mag start na ako ng application or too early pa since after 2yrs pa ako pwede makaalis from PH ulit?

Mejo magulo ata ang narrative ko hahaha thanks

^sis, pwede ka na siguro mag-start, like gathering necessary documents (WES or IQAS, IELTS, letter of employments, police clearance, etc) Yun nga lang, hindi pa masasama yung magiging additional 2years na work experience mo. Yung IELTS, may 2years validity yata (i hope our other sis can confirm or correct if not).

Grabe since last week panay ang ulan. Usually whole day pa. Pero hindi bale, April showers bring May flowers nga daw.
There are tulips sprouting in our front and backyard! Leaves are starting to grow na rin sa mga maple trees and other trees everywhere.

And the cherry blossoms!!! Last weekend, we tried to go sana sa High Park pero sobrang trapik papunta dun. Hindi na lang kami tumuloy kasi malamang mahihirapan na kaming makahanap ng parking space. Sayang ang ganda pa naman sana ng cherry blossoms dun ngayon next spring sana meron ulit. Last spring kasi parang wala akong nabalitaang ganun.

Dito naman mainit na dami lagi tao sa labas nag bibike, basketball or nakatambay lang. May mga maliit na ligaw na bulaklak na rin.

hello mga sis, sorry for this dumb question, dko lang talaga ma gets.

We already have a CIC account and nag apply nako as express entry immigrant and nag create na ako profile sa job bank so may number na ako. Shall I wait na lang ba for job offers or provincial nomination?

kasi when I tried applying as express entry skilled worker sa British Columbia, they're asking for the name of the employer so hindi ko ma submit application ko since I don't have an employer pa naman.

Or shall I wait muna mga sis sa acceptance ng immigrant application ko?
