Ang mura naman ng kuryente sa ontario. Dito ang mahal, pero sobra naman ang difference ng presyo. Kaya kami hanggat kaya namin ang lamig di namin binubuksan heater and wala kmi aircon pag summer para di dagdag sa kuryente.

Most houses in Winnipeg has centralized heating and cooling na. During winter, we set our heater up to 21 deg lang, baka mahirapan pag above pa. May mga blanket na lang kami sa sofa if medyo malamig talaga. Dito sa Manitoba, mga nasa 110 dollars a month ang kuryente. We are on "budget". So we pay fixed monthly, tapos at the the end of the year, you pay na lang whatever you owe if ever or the company credits you for the electricity that your did not use.

Winter makes me sad too pero pag lumalamig na, my mind is set of the holiday season na kaya nawawala lungkot ko. Parang hindi pasko pag walang snow. Naks. Haha.

I dont think naman ganoon kamura ang electricity and gas sa Ontario. We knew of some people mahal din binabayaran nila for gas and elcricity.

Its probably also kasi we have a newer house and it has an energy efficient rating from the builder a well as the government. The furnace is already energy efficient, so as the water tank. The windows are triple pane, etc. so tipid sa kuryente talaga. besides, we changed all lighting so that its energy efficient also. May sked din ako when I do the laundry and run the dishwasher, vacuum - i do it during off peak times para hind rin mahal ang bill.

We maintain e a 72deg temp during the winter - we just wear shorts and tshirt sa bahay. ayaw ko naman din ng nilalamig kasi.

yup, mas mahal pa din ang electricity sa Ontario compared din sa British Columbia (base sa kakilala ko na they only pay 50 for 2 months) we pay around $100 for electricity and every 2 months na yon. depende rin siguro sa mga appliances and sa laki ng bahay. we are staying in 1 BR unit and ako lang ang tao lagi. TV and PC lang maghapon at wala kaming AC free ang heat and water sa building namin, kaya medyo tipid na din. we used to wear din yung usual na pambahay, tshirt/sando and shorts.

dont worry sis eischied_21, if ever naman na pagdating nyo sa Canada and kumuha kayo ng apartment, siguradong may heater naman (meron nga bang walang heater?).

Dito kami sa B.C., average electric bill namin every 2 months is around $115.  1br old (1997)condo unit kaya di energy efficient yung ref, dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, at stove. At palaging rin bukas yung pc, tas ginagamit rin namin ang electric fan kahit winter.  binubuksan lang namin yun heater once a year para di lang matengga.

mga sis, question, nung nagland ako dito, napansin ako ang lakas maglagas ng hair ko, tapos nabanggit sa akin ng friend ko, due to hard water daw, wahaha... anong ginagawa/ginagamit nyo to prevent hair fall, nakakaloka ang hard water, safe inumin pero lakas maka hair fall, kaka worry kasi.

problem ko din ang hair fall before pa kami lumipat dito sa Canada, not sure kung mas grabe ngayon nacurious naman ako sa hard water. nagtry ako na paiba iba ang shampoo ko, mostly yung mga brand na meron din sa Pinas, then yung iba din brand na meron dito. so far, naglalagas pa din ng matindi yung hair ko isa pang iniisip ko na cause ay breakage dahil nagpaparebond ako every year, hindi naman kasi numinipis hair ko kahit madaming malagas. another worry ko naman, sana yung effective na shampoo na magagamit ko next time ay affordable para naman hindi apektado yung budget namin hehe

Grabe din yung hairfall ko dito sa Canada di ko rin kaya mag-shower ng cold water! Yikes!

naku once a week ko na nga lang basain, haha..pero ngayon twice a week na, kasi minsan ma oily na talaga..saka nagka-dandruff din ako dito... well ayun, search search na lang..

I'm trying to use dry shampoo but I don't like the feeling that much eh If I don't work out, I can go every other day without shampooing. On the days that I don't shampoo, I still get my hair wet though. I like the feeling of "clean" hair.

Ang lakas din ng dandruff ko dito kaya I wash my hair every other day lang. On the day that I do not wash it, I just tie it in a bun or ponytail. Plus if I wash my hair everyday, ang lakas ng static. Kaya I kinda let it build oil a bit.

^What dry shampoo are you using. I have the Tresemme one and I don't like it. I have yet to try the Bastiste. I heard it is good.

ako rin dalas magka dandruff pag winter kaya i use anti dandruff shampoo at least once a week. For dry shampoo I like batiste and got2b, I also use lush powder as dry shampoo and di ko nagustuhan sa lahat yung marc anthony clear dry shampoo walang effect sa hair.

Question lang sa mga matatagal ng drivers in canada especially in toronto, ano po ba maadvice nyo saming mga newcomers? nung nandyan po kame medyo nalilito pa kame sa mga road signs and rules.. Like kahit nakared light pwede pa din magturn yung ibang cars..

^You can turn on a red light naman as long as you're going to a one way street or turning right. Also, the cops can overrule the road signs. I can assure you Canadians strictly follow road signs. However, there are some who would break the rules. Wag mo gagayahin yun. In my experience, Asians usually ang medyo palpak sa pagda-drive. Katakot mag-drive dyan sa me T&T...LOL!

Oh yes, wag gagaya sa mga pasaway sa traffic rules. Be mindful were you park. Kahit ata criminal dito sa Canada nagfofollow ng parking and traffic rules. Lol.

And we establish at intersections here. Pag ikaw nasa harap, andar ka na towards the intersection and make your turn right away when clear. If not, bubusinahan ka ng nasa likod. Saka mga stop signs, be mindful of it. DUI is very serious offense here. Mas full alert ang pulis pag mga holiday like Canada day, New Year, Christmas checking randomly for drunk driving. Sabi nung kakilala namin, pati nung laban ni Pacquiao may mga pulis. Coz you know mga Filipino mahilig sa party. Lol.

^^I would say, helpful to get an official driver's handbook para at least you know what the signs mean.

Ahh ganun po pala talaga, basta clear yung road pwede na magturn kahit naka redlight.. Dun lang po ako nalilito..    mas maganda nga po siguro if i have driver's handbook..
