Not included to sa OHIP. Massage fall under Extra Health Benefit. Some companies pay for this and sa iba naman deducted sa payroll but you get discounted kasi group kayo eh. Iba-Iba din kasi ang structure ng healthcare per province.

^uy si Vans, may question ako. Ano yung equivalent ng OHIP sa British Columbia? And do you pay for this or workplace na din ang nagbabayad?

Alam ko isa lang ang account per family. Since nun dumating ako dito di pa ako nakakatanggap ng bill galing sa kanila.

Yung sa amin, walang employer contribution kasi buong msp premium ($144 ngayon, sa 2016 $150 na) yun na autodebit sa bank account ng mister ko monthly. Di ko alam yun set-up ng iba. Kasi pwede ata kasama sa group health plan tas company mag reremit sa Health Insurance B.C./MSP.

Sarsingkit, ano yung provincial health care program ng Manitoba? Covered din yung doctor's visits, etc? Iba iba talaga yung programs pag federal gov't noh? Nakaka-confuse!

The province pays for the medical expenses except Dental, Vision and Extra Health Benefit and Drug Prescriptions. So, wala kaming "provincial government insurance" kasi free talaga sya. You don't have to pay for your Provincial Health card nor do you have to pay monthly premiums. Pero yung mga Dentist, Extra Health, Vision and gamot, you have to get a private insurance for those. Some companies offer these for free to their employees as part of their benefit package.

Hindi ko alam yun ah!  that's awesome! how are the wait times naman? Grabe dito sa Vancouver. Just to see a doctor, sobrang tagal ng wait times kahit may appointment na. Dami rin nagco-complain about the medical services available. Oh well, wala talagang perfect na systema sa mundo. I'm just grateful to be here

^Malaki lang tax namin dito. Matagal din ang wait time dito sis. Kahit sa Emergency Room pa yan! Saka napaka underwhelming ng mga reaction ng doctors dito. Namumutla ka na, sasabihan ka lang na get some rest and drink water. Kaya mga mommies na may sakit ang baby, wala magawa kasi sinasabihan lang na painumin ng tubig. Haha. Pero yun nga, I am grateful din talaga kasi nga free ang healthcare or kahit sabihin mo pang may premium na binabayaran, ok na din. Eh kung magkasakit ka naman sa pagtanda mo, wala ka iintindihin kahit makailang cancer ka pa. At ang panganganak, libre. 1 year pa ang maternity leave. Hehe.

Pareho lang din sa Ontario, matagal wait times to see a doctor.
I have a doctors appointment tomorrow to see a specialist and it took around 3 weeks for me to get a schedule. And according to the doctor's secretary, depending on the urgency, there are cases when sometimes it will take 2-3mos to get an appointment.

I rememberr when I was pregnant, took me two weeks at least to schedule for my first ultrasound - yun lang walang bayad kaya matagal ang wait time.

There's also not a lot of family doctors accepting new patients.
That is why a lot of moneyed Canadians would just cross the border para magpagamot.

Hi question sa mga toronto-based sis, where is a nice place or restaurant to have a date? I'm not familiar pa kasi sa lugar. Any suggestions? Dun sa not expensive naman pero maganda ambiance at masarap food.

sis lonelymiss28, question lang. ano po bank kayo nagpapadala dito sa pinas. plan sana namin iopen ng accounts both parents namin pero di namin sure kung paano padala money from there dito sa pinas. sabi ng friend ko, puwede daw through remittance then nakakadeposit siya ng diretso to BDO and China Bank. Sa Ontario siya. Di lang daw niya alam diyan sa NB. TIA sis.

^sis, western union lang kasi ako nagpapadala ang alam ko sa ontario may ganyang mga services, unfortunately dito sa nb wala. fredericton punta nyo di ba?

Yes sis lonelymiss28 sa Fredericton kami punta. So any bank na lang sa Pinas then western na lang din. Saan ba website pwede kami tingin ng apartment, yun affordable para sa starting na gaya namin. Family of 2 lang kami. Salamat sis.

yung WU through Scotiabank ang gamit ko, preferred ko kasi ang online para mas madali and mas mura ang fee (compared to direct sa WU ang remittance). wala kasing remittance centre na malapit sa area namin dito sa Ontario. yun nga lang my mom has to pick it up pa sa WU branch personally sa Pinas. minsan hindi ako comfortable kasi lalo na pag cash yung dala ng mom ko.

unlike nung nasa Vancouver pa kami, nagsesend ako through myRemit direct na yun sa bank account ng mom ko and malapit lang sa pinagsstayan namin noon.
