Hermione28: I think akala ni Eds Go because 7pm pa yung wedding of my SIL na she can accommodate pa. Sparklingjewel's wedding is at 2pm if I am not mistaken.

And I think what Eds does is after doing the makeup of the bride she will leave her assistant to do retouch-- this is based on the post of Sparklingjewel somewhere here.

But anyway na turn off my SIL because nga Eds didn't tell her that she will be coming from another wedding, and Tagaytay pa at that. Muntik na talaga siya mag book. Then I told her... "OMG wait, parang my friend who's getting married on the same day got Eds na for her Tagaytay wedding." Of course my SIL didn't want to book her anymore kasi baka ma late, and of course super puyat and tired na yon!!

I also told Sparklingjewel about it that time that Eds was entertaining the inquiry of my SIL for the same day as her wedding. Hehe I just wanted to let her know kasi and I think she talked to Eds about it.

chicafabulosa: First of all before you get so utterlydefensive, I NEVER said that it happened to ME. I said it happened to my SIL. And  she DID inquire and YOU (I AM ASSUMING YOU ARE EDS GO YOURSELF) entertained that inquiry and never mentioned that you had a 2 PM scheduled wedding.

NOW--- IF my SIL had known that then she would have scratched you off her list immediately. Because like most brides she wants her wedding to be the 1st gig of the HMUA on that day-- because she has a 7 pm wedding and doesn't want someone who has been working straight since 7 am to work on her. And since Eds will be coming from tagaytay pa my SIL didnt want to risk the POSSIBILITY of something going wrong on the road resulting to Eds possibly being late.

2nd- I never said you were LATE in your other gigs. I SAID... that when my SIL found out that you had another wedding  in Tagaytay which you DID NOT disclose, my SIL didnt want to book you anymore and that she got TURNED OFF because this was not made known to her during her inquiry.

3rd- You didnt DECLINE my SIL's inquiry. You entertained it and as I said she was already about to book and make a deposit. This of course was until she told me about it and I remembered that Sparklingjewel booked you already and even double checked with Sparklingjewel because my SIL really wanted to book you.

That's all I said. And my SIL is here right now, and verified all the details I mentioned here as true and accurate.

If you arent Eds go yourself, CHILL and stop being so defensive whoever you are.

Now if you are Eds, perhaps you can be more transparent to your prospective clients.

Im not Eds Go to begin with and i rest my case. Sinasabi ko lang yung totoo. Ikaw ang defensive, pakabait ka sis. Kasi obvious naman sa post mo nga di ba di natuloy yung booking ng sil mo so anong issue?

Chili's review was based on fact and there was nothing said to malign the HMUA. Did she say that Eds was unprofessional? Nope. Did anyone bash Eds' skills? Nope. Ang dami pa nga fans dito eh. Chili only questionned why Eds was about to accept her SIL's booking.

You are being defensive with your emotionally-charged comments. Are brides and relatives of brides banned from making observations and posting them online?

I don't think my issue dito. we b2b ask for reviews talaga before we booked suppliers.
Si sis Chili1113 nagkwento lang na yung sister in law nya supposedly ibobook si Eds Go, good thing nalaman nya na same date ng wedding ni sparklingjewel.

sorry for me napaka childish lang na ikwento/isumbong mo sa supplier mo may ganitong feedback then the supplier will post the issue sa fb. tapos mag aaway away sa thread.

^ exactly. I remember there was another comment/review here about an OTD coordinator and the brides simply asked the supplier about it. Said supplier answered everything with class. No ma-drama FB post or bashing in the forum.

If a supplier's really good in terms of skills and professionalism, then he/she (or their fans for that matter) doesn't need to defend himself/herself with emotional posts. The reputation and portfolio will carry you naman eh.

anyway mga sis... sa mga BRIDE to be na naghahanap ng maalagang HMUA go for VAL VILLARIN hindi ka niya iiwan from preparation to church to reception.. Siya pa ang pinaka maaga sa CALL time actually siya pa nga nangising sakin sa hotel hahahhaha!:) VERY AFFORDABLE! naka promo siya nun nung nabook ko siya 12500 airbrush and GROOM grooming plus 4 HMUA kasama na ang FREE TRIAL during prenup

Wow! What happened here?

I am an Eds Go bride and a fan of her work. I thank GT because this is where I got all the vital info I need about Eds prior to booking her. To pay it forward - I am more than willing to answer all inquiries that any prospective brides may have about her (via PM or through the thread - just message).

Let's just say that to each his own. Each bride has different experiences. I am very fortunate for the good experience I had with her. She was on time on my wedding (earlier than call time actually) and she stayed with me until the 2nd look. What I love about her is the cleanliness and freshness of her make-up on me and on the other brides on her portfolio. I laboriously wrote a blog post about her to help other brides to help them decide (see link below if interested)l.

My suggestion is have a trial with her, talk to her about your requirements, and see if you guys are "fit" for each other. There are so many good make-up artists here in the Philippines and yung naging decision point ko with Eds is the final output. Bonus na yung personality nya and the way she replies to my inquiries in the 10 months from booking to the wedding. In all suppliers naman ganon - madaming magagaling but at the end of the day you have to determine the "fit". Hope this helps!

Balik natin sa regular programming sis hehe, saan sya nagpost ng promos? Sana makakuha ako discount or something sa prenup, puntahan ko sya sa bridal fair ☺️

for me eds' portfolio would speak for itself, output wise and quality wise... Subjective din talaga ako kasi ako so i go with my gut feel.... Kahit i really felt that she was busy then i booked her as soon as possible.
Siguro would appreciate from her to say in the future that she has a first bride who booked her on day xxx and if bride 2 is ok with that, or si bride 2 na ang pro active nalang to ask.

Really grateful for GT coz we learn a lot from each others experiences and helps us become wiser in our decisions din. And i second to what sis tubby wrote ☺️

^^ Sorry to say ha but truth be told,  My SIL was about to pay na and meet her in a bridal fair but never sinabi ni Eds na may ibang bride na siya.

But true-- go with your gut feel. Iba talaga when you follow your instincts and also book suppliers you have great rapport with.

Anyway, sa dinami dami ng na-shortlist ko, I ended up being torn between Thea Dionisio and Nini Marquez.
Pareho ko silang gusto in terms of their works and both of them were very prompt mag-respond.

^sis pogi02, all praises lang ako kay Thea Dionisio. So far, wala pa akong nirefer na nadisappoint sa makeup skills nya. You don't have to worry coz she doesn't do double booking for bridal makeup. If you get her for your wedding, sayo lang sya the whole day til reception. she's never late with appointments. At magagaling din ang partner hairstylists nya.

Hi sis belle, actually, kaya ko rin sya na-shortlist because of your reviews about her. Hahahah! Gandang ganda kasi ako sayo and sa make-up mo nung wedding mo. Sobrang fresh! Also to find out na sya rin pala yung prenup HMUA artist ng friend ko. Eh parehong ang gaganda ng output nya sa inyo.

pogi02: All praises rin family ko with Thea and the hairstylist that day-Omai. Even my sister and mom liked their looks. Hehe and to be honest my sis and mom can be very picky and difficult to please. Plus Thea offered to groom my brother, and Omai offered to fix my dad's hair for free. But of course we added naman to the fee kasi nakakahiya naman to make pa-libre eh wala naman sa usapan yun. That's how nice and caring Thea is! Thanks belle_v2g for the recommending her!
