i think they don't want Justice Delima to handle the illegal detention case against INC in behalf of this  Samson person another INC or former INC.  Illegal detention is a punishable crime and no religion should exempt you from it.  Give to Caezar what is for Caezar.  If you are a Filipino citizen,  you are under the obligation to observe the laws of the land and must respect the authorities.  If you don't want to be covered by the Philippine constitution, then i guess you could buy an island and form your own country and your own laws right?

i don't get why they have banners that say "separation of church and state" but i think they do get involved in political affairs too right? They do this block voting too and have arrangements with politicians ... that is state affairs in my book.

i don't know, i don't have the complete info.

all i have is opinion.

That's what I understood too. There's a case filed (illegal detention? corruption yata? not sure..) that they don't want the government to look into so they are fighting for "separation of the church and state".

Here's the meaning in the Philippine Constitution (google wiki because some rallyists are unaware daw):
The separation of Church and State shall be inviolable. (Article II, Section 6), and, No law shall be made respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination or preference, shall forever be allowed. No religious test shall be required for the exercise of civil or political rights. (Article III, Section 5)

Ok, i heard the inc has a minister who believes that he has been illegally detained kaya sya nagpatulong sa government and now the religious group wanted to stop it because of what, guilt?
And now they are after a separation of church and state.
Ayaw nilang pakelaman sila?

wala naman talagang separation of church and state dito sa pinas, nakakatawa lang they will only "use/claim" this when it benefits them. Ang mga politicians natin at law makers and our LAWS are very influenced by religious group, kaya hangang ngayon walang divorce dito satin.

What's even funnier is they want separation of church and state. Simple lang ang tingin ko dito eh,  a member of their church who is also a filipino citizen living in the Philippines sought the help of the Government. Therefore it is the Government's duty and business to investigate the alleged crime against it's citizen and also in its own soil. The Government is not stopping you from believing in what you believe in, or going to church, or however you discipline your members, use your funds or resolve your issue. It's just too bad that a member who felt wronged and feared for his/her safety asked help from the government as a citizen. Stay out of government's business!

I know your church must have help people a lot, and palagay ko naman your church won't harm others, members or not, if the claim of samson is wrong, why so scared of the investigation?

Here's another article where former INC minister Samson expressed his opinions regarding the rally since he's the one seeking help from the government http://cnnphilippines.com/news/2015/08/29/Iglesia-ni-Cristo-Isaias-Samson-Jr-EDSA-protest.html

They all just follow their leaders kahit na hindi malinaw kung ano ba ang pinaglalaban.

I just hope na marealize na nila na they're still part of this country kaya may mga batas na kailangang sundin.

So the Sanggunian (INC) called their followers/ brethren to "peacefully" assemble. I'd have to agree with you sissies. The former INC minister asked for help kaya dapat lang pakinggan yun, hindi ba? Nasa bible din naman (Romans 13:1-7) that we all should submit to the Government. I don't think applicable ang separation of Church and State sa issue na to.

I do have tons of friends na from INC and I am torn sa issue ng EDSA assembly. Yes, we can all express ourselves pero sana hindi masyadong nakaka-perwisyo ng iba. I wasn't affected (dahil medaling araw ang pasok ko) pero I feel for those stuck in EDSA.

I was one of the people na napeste dahil sa rally nila.

I have nothing against INC, however what they did really pissed me off. daming naperwisyo! Selfishness at its finest.
Separation of church and state daw huh.
 ano sila untouchable?
Ano bang ikinatatakot nila? Guilty much?

Dati pa naman nilang ginagawa yang "papansin" moves, the more na makakuha sila ng attention the better.

Sa ganitong sitwasyon gusto nila separation of state at ng simbahan.

Eto personal opinion ko lang and I am talking in general. .

Malakas kasi loob nila because they know how influential they are to the government because of their bloc voting. No one is above the law. Their member sought help from the government and it government's duty to look into it. And nanakit na sila ng ibang civilian like what they did to the cameraman ng ABS CBN. Sinuntok suntok nila, ano yun di ba?

Okay lang for them to exercise their rights and their faith, but never sana na maging cause of inconvenience to others. And to compare what they are doing now to EDSA 1 and 2, is quite wrong. Sila they are protecting only their leaders, while the EDSA rallies were done to free the entire country.

I also couldn't believe the politicians na masyadong bine-baby ang group na to. The statements made by Sen. Poe and VP Binay to this issue are tantamount of flattering and instigating them just to advance their political ambition, which in effect is just a reflection of who they are: IRRESPONSIBLE,  SELFISH,  and OPPORTUNIST.

Against talaga ako sa ganitong mga lider mapa pulitika man o simbahan..

super hassle sis. yun nga na nakasakay lang napagod eh how much more kame na mismo nagdadrive di ba. nakakapagod umupo sa manibela ng ilang oras. at that time mataas na lagnat ko i think it was 39 something close to 40 na, tapos ihing ihi na ako... di ko naman pwede iwanan yung sasakyan sa gitna ng EDSA para umihi. nilunok ko na nga lang gamot ko kahit walang tubig kasi nga naiihi na ako pag uminom pa ako panulak ng gamot baka dun na ako sa sasakyan umihi ng wala sa oras
