Sadly nung contract signing e provisional receipt lang ang binigay samin dahil hinde pa daw nadedeliver ang booklet nila, sa next payment na nya daw kami bibigyan ng OR. Tiwala naman kami ni H2B nun kasi nga isa sya sa mga senior coordinators doon at naka 2 planning sessions na kami. Around June 2015 e na-onhold ang discussions namin kasi namatay ang bunsong kapatid ko.
Mga around September, nagpafollow-up na kami ulit pero jampacked na daw sya sa events niyang hawak at around 3rd week ng November daw sya mapifree-up. Ayaw naman namin sya i-meet sa kung saang venue lang lalo na kasi scheduled payment na namin sa kanila noon.

E medyo hinde na natuwa si H2B kasi parang binabalewala daw kami kaya nagdecide sya na Lumipat na lang kami ng Coordinator. Nung ipapacancel na namin yung reservation, doon namin nalaman na AWOL na pala yung coordinator namin at wala kami sa "official" clients nila for 2016.

Anyone who knows someone who has a Foreigner husband who got married in church?

Apparently Ms. Sally of St. Francis is demanding all documents (baptismal, confirmation, certificate of freedom to marry) from my British Husband. Whereas Caleruega secretary says we just need to provide our Marriage Certificate and his birth certificate. Kasal na kasi kame sa Judge..

Just enligthen me girls about this, she's getting into my nerves na kasi.

My suggestions to the feb/march brides is to make a to do list of what needs to be accomplished every week. Its like an exam, better not to cram. I was very chill in 2015 but at the start of 2016... serious mode on=)

^I totally agree. Ako din serious mode na ngayon. Meron naman na ako naumpisahan last year (initial food tasting sa mga caterers, church, venue, videographer and photobooth). Pero mas pinag uukulan ko na ng time ngayon yung wedding preps.

Ang to-do list ko for this month:

1. Mabook na si catering (Passion Cooks) at yung photographer (Chestknots) namin sa Getting Married Bridal fair sa Jan 16/17.

2. To meet with the wedding gown designers na pinag pipilian ko. Done na ko kay Jazel Sy. Si Mel Orlina and Teena (for entourage gowns) na lang.

Sana ma achieve ko, haha. Happy preps mga sis!

Anyhoo.. Last night lang kami nag serious wedding planning again ni fiancé. Natawa nalang kami sa dami ng kulang namin. Buti nalang he volunteered to contact the musicians for quotes & such.

I hava question..
We need to do an ocular sa venue with our coordinator. The p/v company also wants to go. I also want to bring my bro-in-law/lights & sounds guy. Actually, pati nga florist gusto ko sana isama. No one kasi has done an event sa venue namin. Yung potential designer palang & from the way he put it parang hindi sila sanay with weddings. Too crowded? Thoughts?

I am in the same situation as you are, You need to go to the Chancery sa Intramuros to inquire for requirements. They will be asking for your Baptismal certificates and they will also be providing application form for you and your husband. Kasal na din kami sa city hall and we don't need the certificate of freedom to marry from the embassy. You can check out the requirements in my blog about the chancery. I guess those secretaries weren't specific. Did they even mention to you about going to the "Chancery"?

@glacyrein - My husband is a naturalized US Citizen. I believe depende sa church, but the normal church requirements will be followed like birth, baptismal, and confirmation certificate. We're also married civilly ( got married in LA), and we'll be registering our marriage at the nearest Philippine embassy, because the church will also be aaking for your marriage certificate na released by the NSO.  By the way, San Antonio de Padua td us we don't need any freedom to marry certificate because we are already married and we are living together na.  Well that was what the secretary told is last March when I went home for a quick visit to organize our wedding. ^^Megantaur, how long did it take for you to get the chancery document? sabi sa website nila it takes 2 days lang daw? im also in the same situation. do you think if i ask my fiance to come home 1-2 mos before the church wedding, we can accomplish everything in time? actually we plan to have a civil wedding first before church wedding.

It took us awhile to complete all the documents. You have to call them for inquiry and then visit the Chancery sa Intramuros. I was asked to fill up a form, they wanted to see your situation and status. And based from that form they will provide requirements for you to do. In my end they gave me an application form for me and husband plus affidavit forms of free status to marry for my husband and two copies for witnesses. He'll use those affidavits sa interview nya with his parish priest, he needs the seal from his parish church stamped on each paper. tapos Baptismal certificates that are issued within the 6 months prior to wedding date with notation "For marriage purposes".

What I did is, I scanned all the forms provided to me and I sent him the pics through email. He then made an appointment with his parish church to be interviewed by the priest, he will bring his parents with him as his witnesses. Once he got his Baptismal certificate and all his forms filled up, he is ready to come back to Philippines for us to submit our requirements to the Chancery. My  requirements are baptismal certificate, marriage certificate from NSO and the application form they have provided for me. After that, pupunta na kami sa church namin with the chancery certificate.

Lol actually he is more catholic than me, he is a lector in his church . Don't worry it only sounds complicated, all he needs to do is get an appointment with his church to get the parish seal. the baptismal certificate is a tricky part for me, I asked for my baptismal certificate twice na because my church keeps giving wrong dates and purposes. You need to be really specific, the date needs to be issued 6 months before the wedding and never forget the notation "For purpose of marriage/For marriage purposes", pati church ng husband ko mali mali din, nakatatlong hingi na ata sya ng baptismal at confirmation certificate. Anyways, good luck!

^ohhh parish seal pala kailangan!  im thinking of visiting the chancery this month but baka sayang lang kasi by july, we will have our civil wedding so mag iiba na status namin. thank you!:)

^^^ parish seal and interview with priest. I think the chancery just wants an official confirmation that the groom didn't marry anyone in his church. Oh then you have lots of time to do all that. Good luck sis rowan
