Hallooo mga sissies,

December 2016 bride here. Finally, already booked our venue at Taalena (same venue for Christian Ceremony and reception) and L & J Catering.
Mga sissies, I need your opinions cause I'm planning not to get OTD Coordinator, included na kasi sa L&J ang reception coordinator and emcee. Since same venue lang naman ang ceremony and reception. I'm planning na mag assigned na lang ng tatao sa registration table and magaasikaso for the entourage or during ceremony. If ever na kukuha kami ng OTD Coordinator, half day lang sila. hmmm parang hindi practical? IMO...
Does anyone here had the same experience, pls... share your opinions and suggestions mga sissies.

Hi again sis pinaydiaspora So glad to have a fellow Tomasino here in Girl Talk. #GoUSTe Haha Actually, madalang yata ang Tomasino bride these days... Medyo bihira ako makabasa ng posts about UST weddings and preps pati reviews of suppliers ng mga kapwa Tomasino natin kaya based on photos and recent reviews of newlyweds na lang muna. Plus pag may bridal fairs, para mameet in person yung mga prospective suppliers and to see their sample works.

HMUA. I think I will have Eds Go as my Top 1 though MUA lang yata sya. Will send a message later. Sana available pa sya on my date at sana bigyan nya ko ng discounted rates. Gusto ko yung mga outputs nya. Ang gaganda! Actually, dami ko iniistalk sa IG na H/MUA. Haha Pero ttry ko muna si Eds Go kung pwede sya sa date ko. Next si Nybie Ng then Toni Aviles saka yung Makeup by MAVO.

Venue. Sis balitaan mo ko sa ocular mo sa La Castellana ha. As per sis mhaymhay0519, medyo sablay lang talaga na mainit sya for a day reception. Pero if you'll have a dinner reception, I think okay ang La Castellana, di na ganun kainit. Thanks sis mhaymhay0519 for sharing ha. Next ko yung Patio Victoria since mukhang wala namang negative feedback sa kanila. Saka may nakita kasi ako na previous client ni Studio1 na Tomasino din. Line-up nya Santisimo Rosario Church, Bayleaf and Patio Victoria. Day wedding din sya kaya kung kineri nila noon na kasikatan ng araw sa Patio Victoria, I think keri ko din at ng mga bisita ko. Haha

Wedding Preps. May isa pa kong nakita though may kalayuan na sya sa UST, The Henry Manila. Wedding preps-reception venue-after wedding stay-into-one lang ang peg. It gives Old Manila vibes na sakto din sa theme namin. Kaya lang malayo sya, nearing NAIA T3 na. Sayang. Pero for those who plan to get married near NAIA T3-Resorts World, and Old Manila yung theme nyo, you might wanna check this out. Bayleaf, modern-looking talaga, lihis na sa theme. Kaya will try to secure Manila Hotel or Sofitel or Diamond Hotel or Pan Pacific.

Hay madami pang kulang... Iniisip ko na din kumuha ng event planner/coordinator. Parang kukulangin kami sa time. KKLK Kaya lang kailangan din magstick sa budget.

A few na lang to book for our feb wedding. 2 things which suprised us na malaki pala ang gastos are the cake and prenup. Super mahal pala ng wedding cake! At regarding prenup, malaki din pala gastos like location, stylist, gas, etc..

^Hi sis charmed30, I agree on the pre-nup expenditures. Di ko inexpect na malaki din gagastusin namin pero dahil ginusto namin ito push na lang. Ang lapit na ng wedding mo, happy preps

Hi sis mhaymhay0519 Yup, so far no nega feedbacks for Patio Victoria. And I think the place is very beautiful, lalo na pag naayusan. Lakas maka-prinsensa or maka-reyna. Hehe

Our wedding will be on December 2016 pa naman. We still have a year to prepare. Pero we plan to book and reserve suppliers through bridal fairs para may discount and to lock-in their prices in case they plan to increase next year. I'm not sure kung meron pa this December na bridal fairs. I hope meron pa para makapagpabook na kami as early as possible. Para din mabawasan na yung nasa list na mga iisipin namin. Except na lang yung ndi talaga maiiwasang i-book nang ndi sa bridal fair. Like gown/suit designer, kasi plan namin sa Divisoria na lang.

Also, the advantage of having wedding planner/coordinator is they know which suppliers are really good and worth the money kasi they have worked together. Saka para di din madoble yung services like some P/V offers prenup and makeup artist na also photobooth and sa venues naman, sometimes they offer most the things na like bridal cars, cake, lights and sounds, projector, etc. Siguro I will get a planner/coordinator pag 6months before the wedding na lang. Really hard to book and book, we have to stick with the budget.

August bride here and 3rd prep month. So far we've booked our reception in Sampaguita Gardens and church in Immaculate Conception. Mostly sa church requirements kami nahihirapan dahil H2B is a Filipino who didn't grow up in the Philippines + American citizen pa

Our theme is geeky since mahilig kami ni H2B sa comics, cartoons and games. Most of the budget will go to the customized stuff lalo na sa reception.

Got Chapter One studios they gave me a July discount even if I booked them first week of August. We like their simple and light editing style. They're very easy to talk to and respond agad agad with queries. Dami kong freebies with them, 2 parents albums, loose photographs, may prenup shoot pa!

Sampaguita Gardens reception
They gave me their October rate even if I gave my reservation fee Nov 3. Nakatipid ako sa kanila Fast din sila magreply.

Immaculate Conception church
the church is so pretty! Attended a wedding their early this year Kahit minimal flowers, ok na. Mafefeel mong DongYan din ang wedding mo sa ganda ng church hehe.

Videographer
Still deciding on Jason Magbanua's Team B or Treehouse Story. Namamahalan na ako sa kanila and natatakot akong magmamahal pa sila sa 2016 Yung ibang pinapanood ko naman sobrang OA ng editing, hindi type ng mom ko hahahaha!

Caterer-Hizons
Read the horror stories in the forums pero nagustahan naman namin yung kinain namin sa dalawang GFT na inanttendan namin. Our AE was very accommodating of our questions. Haven't placed our DP yet because we're negotiating the price. Nagincrease yung PAX namin ng 20 more people and we're hoping for a discount kasi lumaki naman PAX namin. So far, nagpa customized package kami without styling kasi kukuha kami ng event sylist.

Gown
Looking towards getting an RTW and in fairness maraming mgagaganda! Tried out gowns in Landmark and Ivory and White in Katipunan and so far, leaning towards Ivory and White. I'm the type that really likes lace over bead work and not spending 100k for my gown. I'm a simple girl with simple tastes in clothing. Bobonggahan ko na lang jewelry and flower crown ko, hahaha!

Cakes
Wala pa, pero mukhang maraming ok na suppliers during wedding expos. Hopefully we can secure one in the 2016 wedding expos. Leaning towards getting a naked cake and a customized topper from Etsy.

Event sylist
Getting a friend's company to do this. So far need to meet with them kasi hindi makagalaw si Lights and Sounds pati si Caterer without them. Kinakabahan ako dito the most kasi feeling ko dapat ngayon pa lang may quotation na ako from them. Mag memeeting pa lang kami sa august. I hope 7 months is enough time to pull this off kasi very specific ang theme namin.

Coordinator Got a friend who's done weddings for a long time na. She's also doing our flowers so surely hindi niya maiiwan sa hotel yun (read a horror story about it here). I preferred getting a friend recommendation over looking through websites and bridal fairs. Got a good discount from her as well (OTD coord rate pero semi yung ginagawa niya for me) She's super nice and maasikaso

Ang hirap pala mag wedding planning magisa! Nasa US pa si H2B and April or May pa siya makakauwi Anyone else experiencing this? How do you cope?

Hi Mika! Magallanes bride here too. Just finished our precana Sat. Just wondering when you finished giving in all your docs? Ms. Sally wants all of our docs 4 months before the wedding. Uhmmm. Im not sure if I can do that since I havent started getting all my docs ready yet =( I noticed thought that some of the couples in our precana just submitted the last of their documents like a 2 months before the wedding.

Hello sis InquisitorLavellan!  I also booked Chapter 1 Studios as my photog and Treehouse Story as my videographer.  Have you been talking to Fonts?  He's super nice, we've been friends since college days so he gave me a really good package as well.  I highly suggest going with Treehouse Story because they've been working with Chapter 1 for a long time na and they're all very good friends.  I think it's also important to have great rapport among your suppliers especially when they already know each other.  They know each other enough to be able to work harmoniously with the given timeline.  I've been to weddings before where photogs and videographers aren't familiar with one another and they get in the way of each other talaga.

True ito sis. Laki rin nagastos namin sa prenup. May studio kasi. And hiwalay sa Photog namin. Yung cake nga namin kasama na sa venue. Pa upgrade na lang namin. Actually nga sis yung target budget talaga namin for the wedding nadagdagan na ng nadagdagan kasi since maliit na details ng isang supplier, gusto namin iupgrade, kaya patong patong yung add-ons. Lumobo na budget namin hehe

Actually sis yung minor suppliers, dito ko lang din sa GT nakuha. Base sa recommendations ng sisses natin. AS much as possible sis makapag book ka ng suppliers para ma price lock mo na. Kasi for sure mag iincrease ng rates yung suppliers almost booked ko na lahat actually

Pwede bang magpa confirm ulit sis? If so, Pa kumpil na lang ulit si h2b para mabilis na lang. After pakumpil sa St. Michael, kuha mo agad certificate. Para makapag submit na rin kayo ng church requirement.  I feel you sis. I want to get things done and ayoko yung may mga hassle hassle na ganyan kasi maiimbyerna ako hehe.

Kaya napagkasunduan na lang namin na hintayin na rin macorrect ang kumpil certificate. Kaso natatagalan ako sa 2 weeks. Almost 2 weeks na kami maghihintay. At mas naffrustrate ako sis kasi sa st. Jude lang ang church namin sa malacañang. Walking distance lang from st. Michael. So kung pakumpil na lang sya ulit, kunwari di nahanap ang record.. pagkarelease ng cert, direcho submit na kami sa church.

Update: Leaning towards Jake Olaso more than Treehouse. As much as we want them both and they're both very good, Jake Olaso fits our budget more. Chapter1 has worked with them na din kaya mukhang ok pa din naman kahit hindi Treehouse kunin namin.
