Go and talk to you hubby and both your parents and set the sate ASAP. If you'll have a big wedding, baka kulangin ang time mo. Pero if its just simple and konti lang bisita, i think even 4 months is doable. Pero kapag may pera kaya yan lahat. Yun nga lang baka yung preferred mo na vendors booked na. Good luck sis!

December 2016 bride here. Tama lang naman di ba na mag start na mag plan as early as now? Nasasaktan ako everytime sinasabihan ako na sobrang aga pa or masyado akogn excited. Kasi iniisip ko at least malolock ko na yung price then pag iipunan nalang namin ni h2b yung pambayad sa lahat. Ibubook na namin yung venue, church, and pv sa January pero ang dami daming side comments ng mga tao.

sis, unahin nyo muna sa month kung kelan nyo gusto.. summer ba? ber month? mga ganyan. syempre you have to take into considerations din na next year election. hehe. march ang holy week. pag june onwards, medyo maulan. mga ganyan. i think dapat may options muna kayo ni h2b. kung kailangan nyo ng opinion ng families, dun lang din sila magwowork around sa options nyo

cristinarocel, its not too early to plan your wedding. ako june 2017 pa wedding ko but im planning na. i have made pencil bookings and by next week ill pay the dp na for my choice venue and caterer. most suppliers have bookings for 2017 na like my venue. if you really want to start na, take care of your non negotiable suppliers na lalo na if theyre popular. im booking my non negotiables na so i could save the date that i want. you might get price locks pa on some suppliers so that could save you a lot too. may iba naman na hindi pa makabigay ng estimate for the next years pero kung sila talaga gusto mo, at least nareserve mo sila.

@cristinarocel Jan 2017 bride ako and nagpplan na din ako, normal naman na yan. better nga if more than 1 year ahead e at least mas may time ka mag research sa suppliers di masyado pressure agad na mabook na. although shempre pag may nakita ka nang gusto mo talaga na tipong di na mababago isip mo e book nyo na, like yung church at venue  Hayaan mo na yung mga nagsasabi na maaga pa para magplan, di lang sila updated sa current trend ng booking ng wedding suppliers. baka pag sila na ikakasal magulat sila

^^^Sis mikky21, tama si sis stylus. And this should roughly be your decision too. Like kami we had a specific date. Na move lang ng 1 week before due to my parents recommended na pabilog yung buwan. Tipong ganun. Kasi if you're gonna wait for everybody to come up with a rough date, then it will really take you ages.

Sis cristinarocel, don't mind them. Ganyan talaga, may mga moments na may mag nega. That won't be the last sis. So prepare to filter what you take in.

For the 2017 Bride better to do the reservations now or early next year to price-lock the deals. Nagsisi ako sa hindi pagbook early this year, inabutan ako ng increase at hindi biro ang increase ng different supplier.

Mahal sa kung mahal ang magpakasal lalo if meticuloso, especially the "known" suppliers hindi pumapalya ang pagtaas ng prices even the venues! Church nga lang yata hindi nagpaprice increase. Haha!

^Couldn't agree more sis with early booking. Our wedding will be on Q4 of 2016 pa, but then we booked all of our major suppliers this year around March-June, then after that nag hayahay na kami ni h2b. Aside from cramming, hinabol din namin yung mga supplier's rate of 2015. Some of them could give discount pa for early bookers so laking tipid din.

Scouting really needs a lot of time. Hindi talaga sya biro. Kasi kada search mo, may makikita kang mas bago or baka mas OK. So you better do it as early as possible so you'll have an ample of time to check, scout, read reviews and feed backs in everything. =)

sis glacy_rein, my h2b is so mahiyain din. At first ako yung may ayaw ng pre-nup chu chu kasi nga it's so common and mainstream, but then inoffer ng PV namin to add it up with addt'l little amount on our total costs - so OK nako. But I asked my h2b if he's willing to do it, initially ayaw syempre mahiyain. Tapos yun I explained everything - siguro nakulitan pumayag na sya. I kept on reminding him to relax and be ourselves nalang since pareho kaming hindi sanay sa harap ng camera and center of attention. Sabi ko nalang it'll be once in a out lifetime, let's just give it a try. Then pumayag na sya. HAHA! =)

Hi sis cristinarocel, I say book them as soon as you are sure you want them and their calendar is open Di biro ang increase of most suppliers. Ang mantra ko is why listen to side comments, they aren't the ones paying for it anyway? lol.

I agree with sis glacy_rein and ANJFinally, my wedding is on October 2016, I started booking suppliers November 2014. If I didn't book my Videographer then, I wouldn't be able to afford him now because of the price increase. And sometimes, it's not the price but their schedule lalo na if one event per day lang sila.

Sis, any suggestion about Tagaytay wedding venues? Help me naman to choose between Hillcreek Gardens, Tagaytay wedding Cafe, Pintoresco, Mahogany Place Tagaytay, Sylvinas etc.

I'm thinking about TWC and Mahogany. Do you recommend some venues pa?

^sis you can check with club ananda in sandari batulao, splendido, rosemont gardens, le jardin rosella, hacienda isabella, the glens tagaytay, villa ibarra, pacific heights, and a lot more pa ata sis. hehe!

^^sis, it depends on what you are looking for..First and most important of all ☺,what is your budget? Then, what is your theme? What type of wedding are you going for?  When is your wedding? There are so many beautiful wedding venues in Tagaytay, it's quite difficult to just pick one. Oh by the way, one factor to consider also is your church?  Since Tagaytay is the 2nd or 3rd wedding capital in the Philippines, churches gets booked quite easily. If you've backread, one of the problems that easily arise is that the coveted date and time has already been reserved especially, if it's a weekend wedding. Most brides reserve the church first, then venue to follow.

If you want a garden wedding type and you've got money to spend you can try Angelfields, Hacienda Isabella, Pintoresco, Narra Hill, Antonio's, Tagaytay Highlands, Taal Vista Hotel.

If you want an indoor wedding with a grand feel you can try Mahogany place, Club Ananda, Alte Veranda de Tibig, Nuvali...

Granted that some of the places mentioned are not in the Tagaytay centre as is (but like Hacienda Isabella and Pintoresco- they are near-ish to the Tagaytay area) 

If you're a bit budgeted, others have also mentioned it.

Other venues worth mentioning as well are Sonya's garden, Balay Taal, Mahogany Garden, Balay Indang, Sandari Batulao, Balay Dako (new venue- I believe this is the former Antonio's breakfast). I might've missed some, but you can also backread on the previous threads for other's recommendations, comments and violent reactions. Happy preps and good luck.

sis rowan, meixin, and peachlipstick tama kayo kasi kung hindi aagahan ang pagpaplano baka hindi maging maganda ang end result. Mas marami ding time left para mag save. Uunahin na namin yung church and venue.

Ang mga tao kasi laging may nasasabi maaga o late man mag plan meron at meron paring masasabi, hindi naman sila importante kaya wag nalang pansiin hehe.

cristinarocel Sis ok lang yan. December 2016 bride din ako. Normal to plan wedding at least 12 months before. Kung catholic wedding ka for example, sometimes you need to book 1.5-2 years ahead of time just to get the schedule that you want. So don't fret. Normal lang din side comments, trust me you will definitely hear more. Ang importante you and your fiance have your trusted support group -- parents, siblings and best friends if any. Priority mo your date kasi un parati basis ng suppliers if available sila or not.

You're welcome sis rowanand sis adik_gumala and I'm glad it helped you guys somehow. Yun purpose nung blog ko since kami din nahirapan talaga ni fiance. We started planning around april 2015 eh december 2016 pa wedding. Although there are tons of guides out there, wala talaga yung specific list na makakapagbigay ng rates lalu na sa suppliers like church, venue, coordinator, photo, video, caterer etc na mga majors. Inisa-isa talaga namin to the point na laman na lang ng emails namin is about supplier correspondents.

Beware din mga sis, a lot of suppliers do double bookings. So make sure kayo lang ang event nila on that day unless they are really reputable enough to have two teams to cater two or more events on a single day.
