^^ Raspberi, don't worry, you still have sufficient time.  On saying that, it also doesn't mean that you have to sit on your laurels.   If you've booked most of your suppliers, then all you have to do is complete all, liaise with them, and finish your needed documents.  But if you haven't booked most of your suppliers, you may need to double time a bit-6 months will be over in a flash.  Also mas mahirap ng mangulit ng mga suppliers since BER months na. Since peak season na naman, they will be busier, especially yung mga in demand na suppliers.  But if you're not as particular with your suppliers, madami ka pa din naman mahahanap. 

Don't want to scare anybody, but my friend who is supposed to get married a week after me next year in June, now needs to change her wedding date.  Kasi yung church nya is no longer available.  And then when she had her church and date sorted out, yung stylist naman ang hindi pwedi.  She didn't book her major suppliers immediately kasi inisip nya, since province naman sya, it is okay.  And that 9 months prep time would be sufficient.  Plus yun nga, ngayon mas nagmahal na ang mga suppliers.  And her suppliers are mid range ha, some are from Manila, some from the province.  Don't want to scare you, but it is crunch time na hehe. It's now or never.

6 months to go na lang kami. Should I be worried na parang walang progress ang pagpaplano namin?

^ Sis paano mo naman nasabi na wala progress yung planning nyo? You still have 6 months to go, pero dapat by this time nabook nyo na major suppliers nyo. Prices of the suppliers tend to increase lalu na kung nakikilala na din sila sa wedding industry plus consider mo din OOT rates kasi minsan pati yun tumataas. Lahat na lang actually tumataas. For example, sa HMUA thread lang I saw na 50k and up rates ng iba. Take note for brides and groom lang usually, wala pang free trial. Kung dati nasa 10k pinakamataas, I bet next year baka mag increase pa yan ng 10-30%! Lalu na kapag mas papalapit wedding date nyo.

All-In Wedding package kasi ang samin, nagDP lang kami ng 10K nung May. After ng initial planning last July, hinde pa kami tinatawagan nung naka-assigned na planner.
Church and Reception were already reserved na rin naman, last May rin. Ang fear ko is sa Church kasi reservation pa lang at may pinabagsak "daw" ang archbishop sa Canonical Interview.
Sa Oct 17, may schedule ako with Nino Angeles, possible 1st fitting na rin daw if decided na ako sa design nya

^ May bumabagsak sa canonical interview? Talaga? I thought its just for formality's sake.  Anyway given the fact na all-in package ka pala dapat worry-free ka na. Just make sure to always contact the conpany or the planner assigned to you so well-informed kayo sa lahat ng details. Happy preps!

regarding canonical interview, yes. i have heard of couples na bumagsak sa interview. bukacan area sila dapat papakasal. ano ba mga pinag uusapan dun? confi ba or pwede ishare

Hello again mga Sis...
About sa Canonical Interviews: Nag-start lang ako magresearch online about canonical interview questions. May ilang blogs and articles din akong nakita na may chances nga na ibabagsak ng Priest ang isang couple depende sa mga answers nila.
Sa Immaculate Conception Cathedral ang church namin ni H2B and as per church staffs don, medyo mahigpit nga raw sila sa interviews lalo na kung kay Bishop Mylo matatapat. Talagang ina-assess daw nya ang stability ng couples, emotionally and financially. 
Bottomline siguro during the interviews is to be honest and sincere sa pagsagot ng questions.

I guess couples should also take this canonical interview seriously by researching for possible questions. But in the end of the day, couples should be honest because if not sarili lang din ang niloloko.

 Newcomer here and a 2016 bride, too! your posts really inspired me and they really got me going again after months of planning hiatus. i was supposed to be married this year kasi kaso inunahan ako ng sister ko. i don't really believe in sukob but the folks in my province pretty much made it non-negotiabale. sooo eto. hehehhe. event coordinator na lang talaga kulang ko and hmua! 

i"ll share some details hoping to help out brides in need

  90k yung price ng gowns and suits. i thought this was expensive but i read some of the posts and good deal na pala ito indeed. she made my sister's gown kaya confident na ako.
 i met with the florist of kris tv, they provide flowers na and all necessary decorations. 80k ang quote still thinking about this, though. pero sobrang ganda ng works niya.
 church and reception okay na rin.

Hi sis decy19. Overseas bride here as well I made a blog about the suppliers that fiance and I have researched and will be posting later the venues list that we have come into online contact with. It's called budgetdreamwedding.wordpress.com

It's seriously difficult espc for us overseas brides to get our options straight lalu na malayo tayo at we cant see everything personally unless we'd go home. I actually even booked my caterer by only relying heavily on reviews that I read online. It was a blind decision on our part but after my cousin went to their food tasting event to check out their food and possibel setup he said it was okay. Since I trust him -- being a good cook and all, I know that I made a good decision. *crosses fingers*

pinaydiaspora I'm impressed with your blog! I also inquired with most of the suppliers you inquired with. But delete na agad sa inbox once I know if within budget sila or not lol. It's a good reference though. Same situation din tayo as I'm an overseas bride as well. So I know the feeling of just relying on reviews online. We have the same coordinator too! When is your wedding btw?

hi pinaydiaspora, thanks sa reply! sinabi mo pa...I am spending time reading reviews and will be finalizing the shortlist suppliers. I will ask my Auntie to do the occullar and food tasting...nakakahiya kasi nakakabala ako pero willing naman sila to help me. Stressful sia pero I know it will be worth it. I will look into your blog, I know it will a great help. so nice to be joining forums like this. It felt so good that there people going thru same situation and helping each other.
